It is out in a rural area well outside the city. Very peaceful and relaxing. Room was super clean and air conditioned with a large bathroom ( no a/c) and mini bar. ( Beer and cokes only) It has a small but good restaurant ( reserve meals in advance) and a lovely garden and pool. Looks out on rice fields with birds and nature all around. It is close.to a mosque and you can definitely hear the call to prayer. It added to the atmosphere for us and they turn down the loudspeaker for the 4am call to prayer!. You can borrow the bikes and ride through the working rice fields leased from the sultan. You certainly get to see authentic rural Javanese life but its not for those who want any kind of nightlife! Beer available but no wine, so bring your own if you want to relax over a glass while getting your authenticity!

Will definitely go back. A perfect place for those who wants to explore the center city of Yogyakarta or for those who just wants to relax all day long at the property.

Offering a selection of Indonesian breakfast and 24-hour front desk, Rumah Desa Homestay is located in Yogyakarta. Free WiFi access and complimentary parking are available. Excellent location, close to Candi Prambanan. Nice room, large and comfortable. Provided a great breakfast, very early in the morning at my request. Picked me up and dropped me off at the railway station, as well as to the Ramayana Ballet. They also let me use their bicycle, which is a great way to explore all the temples in the area.

ViaVia Guesthouse is located in Yogyakarta, a 15-minute drive from the lively Malioboro shopping street and Yogyakarta Palace. It features free internet, a café and rooms with modern décor. Fantastic place to stay. Delicious breakfast. The staff is really nice and welcoming.
