Pokhara is a charming and peaceful city, with nice bars, restaurants, and shops. It's much cleaner, than Kathmandu and is a nice relaxing place. The air is also cleaner and more humid. During my stay, the haze blocked the mountain views, but locals told me that the skies are usually clearer in October-November. Also, Pokhara is a starting point for many popular trekking routes, such as ABC, and is very convenient for last-minute trekking plans. For example, I did a 5-day track to Mardi Himal base camp, which was not planned, but a local company helped me to arrange everything and I also bought the missing equipment on the spot. Needless to say, the trekking was a magical experience. Pokhara is worth visiting once in Nepal.

Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May.
Pokhara suffers from Forest Fires in April/May. The sky is grey and filled with smog. Visibility is very poor and none of the surrounding mountains could be seen. Also the airport remains closed due to these weather conditions. Travel time on road between Kathmandu and Pokhara is almost 8 hours one way due to road projects.
One should travel later in the year when the visibility improves and the airport is open all day.

Sarangkot at sunrise was the highlight. The food was great.
Sarangkot at sunrise was the highlight. The food was great. It was disappointing to see so much trash around the lakeside. I am surprised YouTubers did not mention that point. We were glad we went there. We flew on Buddha Air from Kathmandu. On the day of our return back to Kathmandu, it was foggy and the flights were cancelled. We had stayed at Hotel Middle Path. I called them and they immediately sent the driver back to drive us to Kathmandu. Never have we had that type of service in all our travels.

Pl plan to go to Pokhara via Flight and not via road from kathmandu The roads are under construction and it would give your back a lot of work. Pokhara is nice and 2 day trip would complete most of the places there
What a beautifully done property. Right in the corner of the Lakeside street, Hotel Barahi is one of the finest hotels I’ve stayed in. Amazing and welcoming staff, beautiful grand rooms with modern furniture, amazing breakfast spread and a huge property with a nice pool at the center. I was travelling solo to Nepal and had the greatest of time and hospitality at this hotel. Everyone was welcoming and supportive of my needs. Location is bang on, everything is at walking distance. Really loved it, would come here again whenever in Pokhara.
Sweet dreams hotel is the place to stay in Pokhara if you want clean, comfortable rooms for a good price and with an amazing view over Phewa Lake! The location is really nice, close to the main street in Lakeside with many restaurants and bars, 2 minutes away from the Movie Garden. The staff is super nice and welcoming, and will help you with everything (booking bus tickets, treks...). They also provide very tasty food.
My stay at the Hotel Tulsi was a truly enchanting experience. The breathtaking lake views from the rooftop, the impeccable service from the warm and attentive staff, and the relaxing atmosphere created by the hotel's luxurious amenities made it a haven of tranquility and unrivaled hospitality. It's a place I highly recommend to anyone seeking a perfect escape and an unforgettable Pokhara lakeside experience.
Great place to stay on lakeside. The rooms were very clean and updated. The bathroom is the nicest I have seen in nepal, and the bed was very comfortable. They have an awesome coffee shop and restaurant with a great view of Annapurna from the rooftop.
The owner is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and treks. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
Dorms were good. The staff and Hotel Owner were very cooperative and Friendly. They didn't even charge for Bags I had left while on trekking. Any requirements(trekking, Cabs) are promptly attended by the staff. If I visit Pokhara again I will definitely choose this Hostel for my stay. It's so close to Lakeside that you can see Lake outside the doors.
Nice hotel, well located next to the lake but in a slightly quieter area away from the main bars and restaurants. Nice rooftop pool, and easy access to the rest of Lakeside. There is a taxi stand across the road if you need to get to other parts of Pokhara or the airport. Well priced drinks, although we didn't try the restaurant for dinner.
easy excess to lakeside ..Friendly staff with great hospitality..Always available in need of help for car services and other hotel stuffs…Great breakfast..
Mainly the Staff Umesh is great with helping nature .Highly recommend Pokhara Alpine and springs if one is thinking to visit beautiful Pokhara.10on 10 for clean and great service..
Outstanding hotel in the heart of Pokhara’s tourist district. Very welcoming, friendly staff with great English. The hotel is well presented and the room large and tidy with a comfortable bed, large balcony facing the lake and good shower. The buffet breakfast had a good range of Nepalese and western cuisine. Will definitely come back!
This is a gem of a place which is not so far from the main street of lakeside.
I loved everything about the property, actually it exceeded my expectations.
The room is beautifully cozy and the staff are wonderful.
Owner & Manager Mr. Tilak is so warm and welcoming. From now on this will be my go to place whenever I come to Pokhara.
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Sarowar in Pokhara, Nepal, and I must say it was an excellent experience. The location of the hotel was fantastic, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The staff, particularly Rajesh, were incredibly attentive and accommodating, making my stay even more enjoyable.
Was the best hotel of our whole trip to Nepal. Friendly staff, great food, fantastic view from the room and pool, walking distance to the lakeside. The room was cozy, and the bath tub was great, The free shuttle from the airport was very helpful too. The driver was very kind that he took us to a place we could buy a SIM card.
1. The food was really good.
2. The staff, though few, were very helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable
3. The location of the hotel. it's far from the busy and crowded part of Pokhara, in a peaceful location. On the downside it's a bit far from Lakeside.
3. The rooms were spacious.
Family owners are lovely people and will make you feel at home. Rooms are clean, hotel is on a quieter street with a small garden, and the location is perfect for a quick stroll to lakeside and good local restaurants. Best, by far, of the three places we stayed at in Pokhara.
It’s in a very center prime location. A footstep away from many local restaurants and pubs. Lake is a brisk walk away. The hotel owner was kind enough to pick us up from the New Pokhara International airport which is a bit far from Lakeside. Staffs friendly and cooperative.
It’s a real 5 star hotel in Nepal. It’s beautiful. Very new, very stylish, beautiful design, great view of the lake. The staff is just the best. The owner Dorje greets guests every morning. The restaurant has beautiful view and the food is great.
Great location in the heart of Lakeside area. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Hotel service was very good, staff were very helpful and looked after our bags while we were trekking. Room was basic but for the price we paid good vvalue
I really enjoyed staying at the Homeland Forest Villa. It’s quiet and beautiful. The host is great and help me organize my travel inside Nepal with a reasonable amount. Highly recommended for the gateway in Pokhara
The property located at the lakeside of Pokhara, very easy access to restaurants and because I was in Pokhara during Diwali, so I got to see lots of dance perfomances during the nights. Super lovely.
Amazing place in lakeside Pokhara.
8-10 minutes walking distance to fewa lake and hotel is located in between trees and bamboo plant.
I absolutely love it
