Staff were really helpful. For a large hotel chain it felt intimate and we were looked after by the staff. It was very close (short walk away) from Avignon train station and car rental, which was very convenient. I liked the paper cups and tea/coffee sachets in the rooms, they have made a real effort to cut down plastic use and be more sustainable. The outdoor area was comfortable and relaxing. The room was modern, large & really comfy.

This hotel was fantastic overall! The breakfast was delicious, the bed was incredibly comfy (and huge!), and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Plus, having secure parking in a closed lot was a major plus.

Located in Southern France, Avignon is the largest capital of the department of Vaucluse. Classified as a UNESCO world Heritage Site, the charming city centre is home to the palace of the popes, Rocher des Doms, and the bridge of Avignon.
The historic Palais des Papes is one of the most significant medieval Gothic buildings in Europe. Set within a square with the same name, the Papal Palace is an important tourist attraction where you can see the pope’s private chambers and frescoes by Matteo Giovannetti.
Le Pont d’Avignon was built in the Middle Ages and, according to the legend, a young shepherd called Benezet was inspired by angels to build the bridge. The children’s song "Sur Le Pont D'Avignon" is now famous all over the world.
The beautiful gardens of Rocher des Doms are ideal for a promenade or picnic. Featuring a large pond, swans, ducks and lush vegetation, this place is perfect for relaxing moments. From the top, you can enjoy the views of the Rhône.
You can stay in one of Avignons' hotels, apartments and B&Bs that Booking.com offers. Situated in the village of Montfavet, Avignon-Caumont Airport is only 8 km away from Avignon.

I’m not happy about leaving a bad review, but I have to share honest feedback to be fair to future travelers. This place was not at all what we hoped for! The neighborhood is not clean and doesn’t seem safe. There’s very limited parking on the street, so I recommend getting there no later than 17:00, as you’ll have to park really far or pay extra 20 euros for their private garage. The first bedroom was musty and had a strange odor. The blankets on the beds seemed very old. The linen didn’t match and neither did the curtains. There were stains on the couch. The dish sponge was old and dirty. The beds were very uncomfortable, hard as if it was just a board. The door to the second bedroom had a big brown stain on it. The worst part was the shower, so much mold everywhere, it smelled bad, couldn’t use it! Stay away!

I liked the city, with Palais du Papes etc, but also the surroundings. I travelled in bus to Pont du Gard, St Remy de Provence (van Gogh area!) and southern part of Parque Natural Régional du Luberon, all very exciting places.

Lovely ancient town, where you wish you could step into the past to see how it all was in the old days.
What I found sad to see, was quite a few (especially) French poor people, apparently living on the streets

Well worth a visit .
Well worth a visit . It still reflects the mediaeval days of the Popes, but has splendid modern shops, a great market and a whole spectrum of good restaurants and is small enough for old people like us to cope with

We loved walking around and just taking in the feel of it all. We took a wine tour and loved driving through the villages and beautiful country side. Avignon takes you away from the big cities fir a real taste of France.

Beautiful medieval city with impressive palaces, churches, walls etc.
A wonderful place to hang around.
After sunset it might feel a bit uncomfortable, however I did not feel particularly unsafe at any point.
Absolutely loved the barge, it was cosy, quiet and comfortable. It was fantastic being on the water. Only about 15 minutes walk over the bridge into the old town, and only about a 5 minute walk to a bakery. There’s also a food van down near the bakery each evening with great hamburgers and it’s incredibly cheap and you sit right by the river with incredible views. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to Avignon. Should also mention the dry toilet is no problem at all and the hosts were lovely 😊
It’s a nice hotel, a minute walk from the Gare Avignon (not TGV Gare). During the day they have a big jar of lemon water and les pains au chocolat for free in the lobby. It’s situated in the main street with a 15 minute walk to the Palais des Papes. Everything is close by in the center of this small town. The privileged room was big enough with a coffee machine and small fridge. The bed was comfortable, the mattress and pillows and blankets were fine. The staff at the reception was polite and helping.
The porporty is a 8 min drive from downtown avignon. Our host gave a lot of good adivces on the restaurants, car parks, and attractons nearby. He offered to help us book a restaurant and it was amazing. Our host Matt is very friendly, respectful, and speaks very good English. He makes breakfast fresh frrom scratch every morning. We could not have asked for a better host or a better estate to stay in south of France. The three dogs onsite are cute and easy to interact.
It's a small family owned hotel in a very nice and safe location. The hallways were a little bit outdated but clean. The AC in any scale above low was very noisy. Rooms facing the front seem bigger. Very quiet!± Also, the most comfortable mattress and pillows I have slept in a hotel so far. They have complementary coffee and tea. The breakfast was very good. The staff were amazing. Very close ro the train station. Overall, I would go back if I am back in Avignon.
HUGE room in the center of Avignon - I felt like a queen!
Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.
Room was spotless and very spacious bathroom.
Hotel was gorgeous and historic - I'm so glad I stayed here instead of at a chain.
I requested a quiet room and thanks to the double paned windows they delivered. I could tell the difference immediately when I opened the windows in the morning. So great job with the soundproofing!
Without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed In —an unique hotel which transports you into a haven of old charm, luxury, exceptional service and peacefulness. Located inside the walled part of old Avignon, close to the main tourist attractions this has been an unforgettable stay. From arrival to departure you are guaranteed to be treated like royalty.
Great location right in the heart of Avignon. Breakfast was wonderful, so French, but great... some of the best croissant I've ever had! You can walk straight out of this hotel to the main square of Avignon and eat into the night, then only a few metres away is the Palais des Papes.
Room was quirky but suitable. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Simple studio but clean and well equipped with boiler, little kitchen and a table for 2. The location is perfect for visiting the whole center of Avignon on foot. Very useful the private parking inside the hotel (15 euros per day). The reception was close but we managed to get the key from a security box.
Thank you for your hospitality, we spent our last day in France in this hotel and enjoyed the unique way of life in the south of France. Great breakfast, comfortable beds, beautiful peacocks, everything is great! If there is a next time, I hope we can spend more time in this hotel!
Terrific location and well priced. In short walking distance to the train station, the Pope’s Palace and restaurants. Stayed here for 5 nights, had our best sleep here during our two week vacation in southern France.
It was wonderful! Staff was very helpful and kind. The accommodations were immaculate. Loved the fact that it was not a traditional hotel. It felt like I was in Avignon!
Lovely hotel in the middle of Avignon. The location was perfect! The room was a bit small but that’s to be expected for Europe. The owners were super friendly and helpful.
Cute little apartment, very clean. Everything you really need is there. No luxury, just what you expect. Good for one or two nights, maybe rather young travelers.
