Sydney was a great place to visit and hopefully will get back there one day. The comprehensive Ferry terminus down at the Circular Quay in Sydney Harbour provides a great way to explore various places around the bay such as Manly Beach (similar to Bondi beach) and Toroenga Zoo. You can also catch the Bus to Bondi Beach at the back of the Quay ( no: 333). Sydney Harbour is a great place to be at night with the opera house lit up along with the bridge and surrounding buildings, and many people at the various restaurants dotted around Harbour area, Darling Harbour is also a great place to visit both day and night for similar reasons.

As an ex-Sydney person and having friends from Melbourne with us it served the purpose on our mini 2 day holiday for going to.a symphony at the Opera House and for doing some short trips such as the ferry (take one of the slow ones preferably as that's much better then the fast ferries) to manly and back. Thi is, I consider, a must for visitors toSydney. Wonderful places to visit on a short stay eg Town Hall, St Andrews Cathedral, St James Cathedral, Opera House, Hyde park and its war memorial, Paddy's Markets, Queen Victoria Building, Art Gallery.

I like catching the tram to Circular Quay and the ferry to all the stops to explore for the day. I connect with local buses. Balmain, Double bay, Darling Harbour are all worth visiting and each has different qualities and attractions. I always visit the Art Galleries and the Westfield tower especially at dusk to watch the sunset. The city has many arcades to explore and the Queen Victoria Building is a must see just for its architecture and the shops are unique and eclectic. You can Bus to Bondi and walk along an undulating coastal track. We walked to Coogee. Each cove has cafes and beaches to explore. China town food halls are great for yummy inexpensive food. Lots to see.

As a new Zealander, flying into Sydney, I find the train from the airport is wonderful and both trains and bus trips using my Opal travel card makes this city easy to get around. I was amazed at the number of great shopping malls, theatres and lovely beaches there were. Riding the ferries is a highlight!

The hotel is really nice. It may not seem it by photos i.e. put off by the sink in the room, but it is actually a really good room. The bathroom is quirky, but the shower is really nice. The beds were really soft. The airport is about 20 mins away via public transport which is easy to catch from the hotel, and the CBD is about 30-40 mins away via public transport. Easy as. KFC and McDonald's right next door for late night feeds, can't go wrong. Cheap and nice location.

The hotel is right at the heart of Sydney CBD. Just walking distance from Kings Cross Station with lots of restaurants, supermarkets and many other shops in the area. Hotel staff are very friendly and the hotel is value for money. Room is a bit small but it has everything you need including a tv, mini fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Bed is very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sydney.

I like the lovely, welcoming Federation-style decor, ensuite bathroom, private balcony overlooking the garden and microwave oven. Location is great, close to Northern Sydney CBD but really quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Also love the metal keys, which don't keep failing all the time like the "access" (Not!) digital cards used by hotel chains! Very good value for money, especially compared to other northside hotels.

This hotel is located close to both Circular Quay (15 min walk or 5 min train on George Street) and Darling Harbour (10 min walk). It’s also a short walk from the train stop coming in from the airport. It was a good sized room, clean and well equipped. Be aware that the lobby to this hotel is located on the 8th floor by lift. Fantastic location. Across the street from the train station for the airport train. Hyde park is lovely and most of the best sites of the Sydney CBD are within a walk of 20 minutes or so. Parking efficient; check-in very professional; the room was very comfortable and bigger than most hotels. The combination of the heritage and the way it has been modernised makes it a pleasure to come “home” to. My fathers office was in the building when it was a government location in the 1960’s. We have stayed there before and we will be back.
