Perfect location near the Rabat and Mdina bus stops. Just across the road from the Mdina gate. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Our top floor room and balcony had great views over Rabat and Mdina.
The room was lovely and cool with air conditioning in the living room and bedroom.
The bed was really comfortable with 2 types of pillow. The TV/IPTV had all the channels we wanted.
The kitchette was small but had everything we needed - we ate out each day.

I have rather randomly picked this place, and it turned out to be... a little heaven!!!
I rarely leave comments, and this time I won't be bothered to post some photos as well.
First of all, it is not a house. It is a castle. And not anyone's. Lannister's :D
From the very entrance, through the hallway, up the most amazing staircase, to the room, and then out to the patio where I drank every coffee- I was left speechless. I could not believe the whiteness of the walls, they looked as if painted that morning.
The room- super big, the closets- the same. There was everything from the iron, to towels, super clean sheets, and even coffee and sugar. As a coffee addict I really really appreciated this :D
I have to dedicate an extra sentence to the bed only- I have never ever slept in a more comfortable bed. I indeed have to contact Reuben and ask about the manufacturer :)
Having your morning coffee in the patio is an experience for itself. It should be listed within the top 10 Malta attractions. And this is not an exaggeration.
Reuben is the kindest man and me and my boyfriend felt as if we were completely alone in, I have to repeat, a castle.
Finally, the dog- oh my god, I wish she was there to welcome me home every day. There is no lovelier creature in this planet!
To sum it all up- the best weekend of my life!
Set in Rabat, 8.7 km from Hagar Qim and 10 km from University of Malta, Terraced house with stunning view close to Mdina offers air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

+ The owners were very responsive and friendly. Considering that we arrived in Malta relatively early (9:00), they allowed us to check in early, for which we are extremely grateful.
+ The bus station is practically in front of the entrance to the apartment.
+The bed was comfortable.

Great town, two days enough although there is a good bus service. The history of the city is very interesting, although same said for the history of Malta as a whole. 5 days in Malta to sightsee, more if you want a beach holiday. Quite expensive.

We stayed 2 nights in Rabat leading up to St.
We stayed 2 nights in Rabat leading up to St. Joseph's Feast March 19th. The city was beautifully decorated, each day more items added. We did a walking tour of Mdina and then walked through at night, best time. Rabat makes a great base to explore this part of Malta. We bussed or taxied to Mosta, Dingli Cliffs, Aviation Museum, and even to St. Pauls for the afternoon. Highly recommend.

Rabat is a lovely town close to Mdina.
Rabat is a lovely town close to Mdina. The festa at the end of June was a great experience, seeing Maltese come together as a community was quite charming. Some really good restaurants off the main streets, well worth exploring

The apartment was perfectly located for enjoying Rabat on foot. We had a car and although parking os not provided we had no trouble finding parking very near by and it was free. The apartment has lots of stairs with 4 floors ( kitchen in the lower level, livingroom main floor, on the flight up to the bedroom their is a powder room. Second floor is the bedroom and up the next flight of stairs is the main bathroom. A few steps up is a washing machine and then open the patio door and you are on an amazing rooftop terrace with a great with of the top of the church.
Joe, was great with communicating with us and met us at the apartment when we arrived. He also had a lovely bottle of wine waiting for us to enjoy!
For a very reasonable fee he drove us to the airport at the end of our stay which we really appreciated since we needed to drop the car off the evening before.
The only improvement might be to have a few more towels and supply machining machine detergent.....very minor items overall.

Loved location. Special place day and night for sightseeing.
Loved location. Special place day and night for sightseeing. Could be a hub to explore entire island. I found 1 day visit to be just right for me. Loved the clean environs of the town and the beautiful street lights.
The staff were extremely accommodating and sweet. The booking was to celebrate an anniversary and after having informed the hotel of such, they confirmed that they will decorate the room. They did not disappoint! The room was fully decorated with balloons, petals, prosecco and all. You can really tell that these people go out of their way to satisfy their guests. I would like to thank the staff again for making this stay so lovely. Everything else was great as well - cleanliness, location, amenities, jazucci etc.
Extremely clean comfortable boutique hotel, with a lot of attention to detail, and beautiful quality furniture, beds, and large rooms. Nice clean pool too. Would definitely be an ideal option for a solo traveler, it felt very safe in the area.
Excellent location for Rabat, and Mdina, and travelling around the island. Plenty of restaurants and bars near by. Also very easy parking on the street outside.
We would definitely stay here again if we return to Malta.
The location was absolutely perfect! The bus stop is there, the Mdina gates are less than 5 min walk. The cafe/restaurant is good vibe, and the iconic best pastizziria: Crystal Palace is also a short walk! Loved having my room off to the side on the ground level. As American I did quite like feeling like I was in a castle in that room hehe. Perfect size as it was just me. Very clean and updated without taking away the medieval charm. Everything was SO CLOSE!!
We are a party of 6 and occupy 3 rooms. We got 1 room upgraded which is very good. There is a terrace on the roof top that we can sit at night to have tea.
The breakfast was excellent. We stayed 3 days and every day the breakfast was different and delicious. Amazing
There was a lot of restaurants after walking about 10 minutes. Walking 15 minutes already to Mdina.
Amelie is a tastefully, recently renovated Maltese townhouse in the heart of Rabat. It is close to everything! And it has a gorgeous roof-top with outdoor longe etc. Joe, who welcomed us and showed us everything about Amelie is delightful. It was a wonderful place to return to every night after exploring Mdina, Rabat and surrounding countryside. Loved our stay!
This hotel is located about 10 minute walk from the Mdina city gate, and is a great budget option to explore this city and nearby museums & catacombs (highly recommend!). The breakfast was good enough to refuel in the morning, and there was a great balcony at the top to get a view over the surrounding town and countryside. Our host was lovely and friendly.
It was a truly remarkable experience staying in a 400-year old traditional Maltese house.
But even more remarkable than that are its owners that made me the perfect holiday with their tips&triks.
After seeing the whole island, I am definitely sure that Rabat & The Hidden Gem are the perfect places to stay in Malta in terms of everything.
The hotel is in a great location, very close to Mdina. It is very luxurious and beautifully restored. We had a balcony with a good view and lovely plants and furniture. There were great coffee facilities and a little kitchen in our room. Everything that you could possibly need in the room was provided! Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.
The apartment is within walking distance of the lovely town centre of Rabat and its catacombs, and a bit further there's Mdina. It's actually more like a hotel room than an apartment, including a very big bathroom (equipped for the handicapped) and a patio. Instructions for self-check-in were easy to follow. The bed was comfortable.
Wonderful little boutique hotel ideally located in the picturesque town of Rabat. very comfortable stay and the owner Tano was amazing, very friendly and welcoming and always contactable should you have any questions or queries. plenty of parking outside the property should you wish to explore the island fully.
-The location (old and quiet street of Rabat)
-The room looks quite new. Is spacious with comfortable bed.
-There is a coffee machine on the ground floor that You can use without limits.
-there is a rooftop terrace that can be used.
The room is spacious and clean, with a fridge and everything you need. The snacks in the room and free breakfast are very nice. Location is in a quiet area of the island. The best hotel I stayed for the price.
wonderful full of interesting furnishings and art. very nice kitchen dining and roof terrace. convenient to lots of places in Rabat and Medina.
quiet location at night.
Great location; very comfortable room; gorgeous breakfast. Friendly staff and owners. Quirky ex theatre now renovated into a hotel. Would definitely stay again.
