Leuven is a great city with a lot of late Gothic...
Leuven is a great city with a lot of late Gothic architecture. You can see the entire city in a weekend. The top sights were the city hall and the Tafelrond with the Cathedral across from it.
The Begijnhof was actually one of the most beautiful places to walk to and through. So peaceful and beautiful architecture.
The Kruidtuin (botanical gardens) were a huge treat. Free entrance. Even in the winter it was fun to walk around.
M Museum is not that interesting. The collection is very small. It took about 1 hour to see everything.
Leuven is a university city but still has a lot of gastronomy. There are restaurants for every budget. I loved the La Cantina Mexican restaurant. Bar Louis was also awesome for drinks before dinner.
The stores are all closed on Sunday so take that into account when you go. I would definitely go back again sometime. You can walk everywhere.

Beautifull, historic city.
Beautifull, historic city. Splendid townhall, beautifully iluminated before Xmas. Library with great arquitecture and tragic 1st and 2nd World Wars history. Countless cafeterias, restaurants, bars, Xmas market at the Groote Markt. For churches lovers - very interesting places to see.
M Leuven - art museum definately worth seeing. I had the luck to see the exhibition "Dieric Bouts. Creator of Images". Oct23-Jan24. Many events connected with this Leuven citizen and artist of the 15th century.

Leuven is a beautiful town with a lot of old and well...
Leuven is a beautiful town with a lot of old and well restored buildings, plenty of eating places and very lively not the least as a result of the student population which consists of walking and cycling Belgian and International students. Although the weather was quite bad we walked around before going to dinner The area around the Begijnhof makes you feel like you go back in the time.
Another great thing about Leuven is that you can do everything on feet as everything is within walking distance.
The location is perfect, it's close to the Heverlee train station and two bus stops. It's close enough to the city center, bakery, post office, and supermarket.
It has a cleaning service every week.
It has a bath tub, kitchenette with necessary stuff, mini bar, TV and enough desk and table.
You can ask for a bicycle, which is a must in Leuven.
Staff members are available by phone although there is no reception desk.
The location of the hostel is ideal for those arriving via the train station.
The staff were very considerate of my late arrival and stayed till the last minute to assist me with check in.
In addition the breakfast was also a stand out. Although it stated to only include the basics there, they had enough variety to satisfy my needs (Coffee, water, juices, cereal, yogurts, etc.).
Fantastic location in a beautiful old Flemish hotel directly opposite the railway station plaza and a very short distance from the Grote Markt and shopping district. Large comfy rooms and a reasonable breakfast with delicious croissants. Totally ideal for our girls weekend get together as we all had separate rooms with no single supplements at a very reasonable price.
Pentahotel is stylish, right in the hub of Leuven, yet quiet. We had a very clean quiet room. Excellent air con in the middle of a heatwave was much appreciated. Comfy beds. 24 hour bar for those who need it. Underground parking available (although may be a bit expensive for some at £22 per night). Efficient helpful team who speak good English.
Superb location, right in the city center. Several bus stations around the hotel and train station is within walking distance. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the area. Room is spacious and equipped with kettle and coffee machine. Staff is friendly and helpful, he attended to our issues patiently.
The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful Our room was very clean. The hotel is at a good location as it is only a 2 minute walk from the train/bus station. The city centre is very close at the hotel; it is only a 5-10 minutes welk.
The location is very good - close to the main street of the very lovely Leuven (visit it!). On one hand relatively quiet. On the other hand, walking distance to the train station (and the rest of Leuven).
The staff was helpful and friendly
Martin's Klooster is a lovely hotel, our room was very modern and well equipped - the bathroom in particular was great. A few minutes walking to the centre of Leuven, but in a pleasant and quiet spot at the same time.
Clean room next to the train station. Great location, easy walk to the centre (10 minutes) or Groot Begijnhof (25 minutes walking distance).
Breakfast was very nice!
Location is very good. The hotel is right next to Leuven station and city center. Very convenient to nearby hotels and it is in prime location. Staffs are really good.
Hotel was just 5 mins walk from the train station. The room was spacious for a family of 4. Breakfast was excellent. Staffs were very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is in good place , it is near old town, car parking is near - 22,10 EUR; if you know -what is Ibis budget then this is very good place where to stay.
