The room was as expected but the service was the bste and deserves 10 stars by itself! They exchanged money for us and when I forgot my phone during the trip at another city/hotel, they made sure that I got it back and picked it up for me at the bus station, after 5 days (!)

Very nice city with a town spirit. Burning season was hot but very good regarding air pollution and sight views, not crowded at all with great prices opportunities. Sunsets here are wonderful in any place and it´s ideal to walk to every place. Many free temples with monks living in them and markets very active with the best food. Chill mood but at the same time people from all over the world interacting with locals.

I just loved Luang Prabang.
I just loved Luang Prabang. The centre is a one in a million type place. Some people might dismiss it as touristy because there are so many guest houses and gift shops, but the shops are also wonderful shops and the glory of the place is that it is completely infused with spirituality and in particular Buddhism. One of the best things you could possibly do is to attend one of the numerous morning almsgiving ceremonies around 6 am. The food market in the centre of town is fantastic and the night market right beside it is just as good. Luang Prabang is an 11 out of 10 type of place .

Laung Prabang is easily reached from Vientiane by the China/Laos high-speed train - we made our booking through 12Go Asia - simple to book with e-tickets emailed back to you.
Note: Train tickets only go on sale 3 days before the day of travel and sell out quickly - no turning up on the day and hoping to buy a ticket like you can in the Western world - planning ahead and booking early is essential.
Also note that aerosols and liquid sprays are forbidden on the train (bags are x-rayed and manually searched on entering the train station) - no spray deodorants, perfumes or insect repellents - they will be confiscated!!

I loved the town of Luang Prabang!
I loved the town of Luang Prabang!
The town is just big enough to plenty of things to discover and see.
I suggest getting up early before 10 AM because it gets very hot after that. The town then becomes alive around 6PM, after the heat of the sun is gone.
I like renting a scooter to get around, but the town is easily walkable.
There are masses and masses of Chinese tourists, which can sometimes be disrespectful during the Alms Giving ceremony. I found many of them a bit disrespectful of the ceremony & turned it into a bit of a circus with cameras everywhere, shouting, talking, crossing in front of the monks. Sad. But it’s still a beautiful occasion to witness.

Luang Prabang has a unique feel, which is reflected in its status since 1995 as a UN World Heritage site. This means that the historic centre is being both preserved and renovated. The city is in a stunning location, set among mountains and at the confluence of two rivers, and has plenty of French colonial buildings. Every restaurant we went to served wonderful food, both Laotian and western, and had very friendly service. I will go back for a longer visit as soon as I can.
The hotel is located just at the edge of the historic old town Luang Prabang. Very easy to walk to. The surrounding area is quiet and spacious.
The hotel itself is lovely. Each room is beautifully designed and done up. Rooms are very clean and comfortable, the bathroom is massive. Breakfast was cooked to order and the outdoor dining area/bar is fabulous. We feel that the hotel would suit couples very well. Finally the 2 hosts Leon and Pat (and the staff) are so friendly and welcoming that you cant help but want to go back to stay!
After weeks of 'normal' backpacking hotel we chose Madilao for a little more comfort. It was the best thing that we could have done to chill and relax. We also loved to be a little out of the centre of Luang Prabang (amazing city by the way).
Madilao is such a beautiful hotel and we enjoyed every minute of being there. It looks very amazing, the rooms are big and comfortable and the personal is super friendly and took care of all of our request accordingly.
A huge thank you to the Madilao hotel and all her staff.
Wonderful location on the Mekong. Staff were outstanding in making our stay of the most pleasant ever. The Manager, Phan, went out of his way in a kind, unassuming manner, to help us in every way he could.
A little bit out of town, making it more peaceful and relaxing.
Brand new electric shuttle car that brings you to downtown Luang Prabang when lever you request it.
Lovely breakfast enjoyed in dining area overlooking the Mekong.
Riverside room is a dream.
Located overlooking the Mekong River very close to downtown Luang Prabang (a 10 minute walk). Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast sevice was exceptional and food choices were varied and food amounts were generous. All the staff went out of their way to kindly attend to the needs of each customer. A first class small hotel. Bravo. I will surely return to this hotel on another occasion.
Overall, I had a great experience at Cozy An Boutique Hotel. The staff was incredibly helpful and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean and perfect to a few days in Luang Prabang. Good breakfast. Swimingpool available. Great location and close to night market and all great restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Luang Prabang.
Very nice luxury accommodations. The bed was comfortable in a clean room The pool area was a nice oasis, albeit small. The included breakfast was a la carte buffet style and had tasty options. There was also included afternoon tea with a nice selection of sweets. The staff was all around helpful and friendly. The free shuttle to/from the town center was prompt and fast.
Incredibly luxurious property built in a rice paddy on the edge of Luang Prabang. It feels like a private oasis back in time. Large beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, balconies, wonderful bathroom with huge bath tub. Three pools, multiple restaurants, beautiful spa, option classes/experiences on site. Staff was very attentive.
We had an excellent time in Luang Prabang during our stay. Kind and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with a of options. The bycicle and motorbike rental was smooth and easy. The only negative point is that the hotel is a little bit far from the center, but they provide shuttle bus from the hotel and back.
The hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful with bus/train booking... Breakfast is good but the wait is a bit long if all guests come to breakfast all at once. The hotel is a bit off center but Luang Prabang is small, you can essentially walk everywhere.
Great location. Good sized room, clean and comfortable- we were upgraded on arrival. Great breakfast. Jessica the hotel manager was fantastic- so helpful and arranged several tours for us and loaned us bicycles for the day. Easy walking to all the local sites in Luang Prabang.
Beautiful hotel, very well located and very nice that on Xmas night they offer a cocktail to the guest. My highlights of the hotel: the breakfast (OMG it is healthy and soooo delicious) and the pool! We highly recommend this place for a nice stay in Luang Prabang
Great boutiqe hotel in Luang Prabang, clean, nice cozy room, best hospitality. Basically the room service will help everything you need during your stay, inc money changer, rent a car, everything!
Will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. 👍
Staff here are great and very attentive. At one point the control for the air con wasn't working and they made sure to get it sorted within 5 mins. Good value for money in Luang Prabang as all the other hotels are crazy expensive? Everything you need really!
The room was nice and cozy. The water pressure in the shower was simply perfect. You can rent a bicycle right in the hotel (and it's free), you can also ask staff to book the motorbike and drive to waterfalls or to the Luang Prabang Wildlife Sanctuary.
The Breakfast was superb. Both the breakfast area and the food was great.
The hotel is located within walking distance of the main Luang Prabang attractions.
Our room was large, comfortable and quiet.
The staff were very friendly.
Very clean comfortable room in hotel. Very helpful and knowledgeable manager in Steve. Water fountain in lounge to top up bottles--even for people just walking past.
Excellent hotel for your stay in Luang Prabang
This is a nice hotel in the heart of Luang Prabang. They offers really tasty and cheap breakfast. They also clean the bathroom every day and give clean towels. It’s a nice room and super friendly staff.
The breakfast was wonderful, they serve me 2 types of drink, a cool face towel, a la carte food, a dish of fruit. They made I feel I stay in 5 star hotel. Love to stay here a lot
Everything was great. Wish we had more days to spend at this place. Hotel manager and staff were all great and extremely friendly. The best place in Luang Prabang!!!
Room: Clean and comfortable. We felt that the room is the same as some other luxury hotels.
Stuff: Helpful. They helped us to take a waterfall tour and night cruise.
