Ideal for a young family with on-road parking outside the hotel. Monemvasia is beautiful, with great accomodation, but it would be too difficult with a baby to get to and from the old town.
The staff at the hotel were really helpful, especially as we had a four month old baby with us.

The accommodation is new and located near the beach. The private parking was convenient. The host, Yiotha, was very friendly and helpful. We arrived very late (~11pm), and they waited for us and gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, and assisted us to carry our luggage up the stair to the room. Our room was of good size, clean, tidy, modern, quiet and well-facilitated. The bed was very comfortable. The swimming pool was nice. The breakfast was excellent, including omelette, fried eggs, a good serve of cakes, pies, pastries, breads, yogurt, fruit bowl, juice and coffee. We are very satisfied with this accommodation.

Great view from the room, overlooking the Castle and next to the beach but quiet... Really liked the breakfast as well - rich and tasty... You can even walk to the castle from there... Mateo's restaurant nearby is great as well

The Medieval fortress of Monemvasia is truly amazing with it’s cobbled streets and alley ways. The fortress and church at the top are a must see but the walk uphill is difficult. It needs to be noted that like all of Greece this place has a lot of ups and downs so you need to have fairly good mobility. But the hmm and authentic architecture is a must see.Much has been restored to it’s original structures. The vistas of the sea is awesome.

An amazing place, very pretty.
An amazing place, very pretty. Worth climbing up the steps, but not for the feint hearted, and wear trainers. I would imagine it gets very busy so would recommend going early. And worth getting the shuttle bus, it’s further than you think.

Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring.
Monemvasia is a magical place, beautiful and awe inspiring. As long as you are reasonably fit and mobile there is a lot to explore. A few shops and tavernas, bars, restaurants and cafes to choose from. History oozes from every stone. I did not like to see the horses laden with stone carrying to and from the building works, slipping on the steep cobbled streets. There are workers with trolleys and wheel Barrows to carry your luggage if you want but nowhere is that far away, pack very light though. Parking is restricted so drop off your stuff at the gate and go away to park, or get a bus from the town on the mainland. It's not the easiest plave to access but it is worth it.

Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated.
Monemvasia needs at least 4 days to be fully appreciated. The hiking trails around the castle and Kalives are often ignored in favor of the castle, which is a crime. The castle is obviously the big attraction here and it's worth it alone. I would suggest staying in Gefira and walking up the castle if you are physically able instead of driving. Skorpios (in Gefira) and Matoula (in the castle) were my favorite places to eat at. By no means should you neglect to try the local wines, especially Malvasia.

It was cool to realize you were staying in something that existed 500 years before you were born, before planes, trains and automobiles... Accomodation was basic, but clean and comfortable. Staying here is about the experience, not the amenities. We really enjoyed our visit. I loved exploring the ruins of the upper town at sunrise. It is a very cool experience.

Unique experience to stay on The Rock!
Unique experience to stay on The Rock! Hike to the upper ruins is a must do, we should have done it upon arrival but waited til the morning of our departure. I would have preferred sleeping in, longer time at wonderful breakfast buffet, and relaxing on our balcony before leaving …. there’s always next time.
We had the most beautiful room with an amazing view overlooking Monemvasia. The staff here were super friendly providing a map and giving us information about good restaurants. The room was spacious with a big verandah and we decided on the room with a sea view and so glad we did. The buffet breakfast was fabulous with a lot of choices and the staff were really lovely. The hotel was also well located to go across to the old town and climb up to the acropolis. Overall would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Monemvasia.
Monemvasia is very beatifull. The room was a little to small. View from window was fantasctic. Bathroom very nice. Location was super. Monemvasia is good place to spent 2 days . Bath in see was possible - 150 meters from room. ( near walls of monemvasia) Prices in restaurants 15 % higher than in rest of Greece. everyone must "climb" to upper monemvasia. View from this point is also beatifull. This place is comparable is to: Meteors and Mistra and Santorini.
This is a lovely little hotel within the walled town on Monemvasia. The room was great, with a lounge area and the bedroom up some stairs. There were two air-con units to keep temperature just as you like it. Breakfast was good, and we sat outside to eat in the sunshine. Shops and restaurants are nearby. No traffic is allowed within the city walls, so its lovely and peaceful. Really enjoyed our stay here.
Staying in Monemvasia, on the side of a large rock, is such a treat. I will never forget the one night we spent in Monemvasia - this place is a photographers dream! As far as the hotel room- I felt like I had stepped into another century and the room had a rustic charm. The woman at the front desk and the gentleman who helped us with the luggage were very pleasant and helpful.
The position of the hotel is great as it is located just before the bridge that leads to Monemvasia, so reaching it by foot doesn't take long. The hotel staff gave us a very spacious room with two balconies and sea view. The room was beautiful and very clean. The parking, if you travel by car, is just behind the hotel. There are also plenty of café and restaurants near by.
We loved everything about Monemvasia. Our room was spacious and clean and in a great location. It's best to drive to the gate then contact the hotel to send the porter for luggage as he has a wheelbarrow. If you decide to walk, it's not that far but quite awkward with the cobblestones and stairs. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a fabulous stay!
very nice property in historic buildings with a nice terrace in the center and a fruit and vegetable garden. we were even allowed to pick figs off the tree in front of our room! Bed was comfortable. 5 minutes walking from the hotel you find a „natural swimming pool“ in the sea. there is parking at the hotel. it is a 15 minute walk to Monemvasia village.
If you do not want to stay on Monemvasia itself, this is a great place to stay. We had a perfect view of the island from our room, which was clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was helpful and the breakfast was good. It was easy to drive the two minutes over to the island, park, and walk the 20 minutes into the ancient town for dinner.
Charming, beautiful, and traditional hotel in a quiet location yet close to everything. Old world feel with modern amenities like AC, power outlets, clean linens, and friendly staff. Monemvasia has many steps so be prepared. Pay the 5 euros for a porter to carry your luggage from the main gate to/from the hotel. Best 5 euros you’ll ever spend!
The room was very comfortable and the location was very convenient. Street parking in front of the hotel was readily available when we stayed there in late-April. The breakfast buffet was very good with all the usual items for a Greek hotel breakfast: yogurt, honey, olives, meat, cheese, eggs, various breads, etc.
Excellent location within the castle, close to everything (shops, restaurants, the beach, the historic section at the top of the hill). Spacious, clean and well equipped. If it's important to you, do inquire about the rooftop patio, as one is much larger and has a better view than the other.
- Very nice and convenient location. Easily accessible parking. A 5 minute drive from Monemvasia.
- Everything was very clean including the pool
- View to the endless ocean.
- The owner and staff were very helpful. Suggested also places and restaurants close to the hotel.
Gorgeous place within the castle. It’s a walk from the entrance but very doable compared with stays further from the gate.
Spotless, beautiful, fantastic service and breakfast. Unforgettable stay! Consider the ocean view rooms if possible. Enjoy!
The location of the hotel is great. Close to the city center and the castle of Monemvasia but at the same time away from all the noise. The host was really friendly and helped us a lot with any questions we had. I would definitely visit again.
Location of the hotel is very good, the breakfast was excellent and the owner is very friendly and he will strive to make your stay very comfortable. He gave us some hints about the area. To wrap up it is a good choice in Monemvasia.
The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was nice and clean, bigger than usual hotel rooms. View was also great, right on the rock Monemvasia. Breakfast was tasty. We enjoyed our stay at the Panorama very much.
If you expect 5 star hotel that is not it, but if you want to spend time in medieval house, in 1400 + years castle city with the great view on the see and protective wall go for it. The vibe is definitely there.
Great luxury hotel very close to Monemvasia. Great restaurant on site and large, comfortable rooms. The pools and grounds are beautiful, and the staff were wonderful.
Location and parking at the hotel (next to the room) instead of on the access road of Monemvasia and hauling the luggage up the road and into the kastro.
