Great location, right next to the commercial area of Talca and very close to the train station. The hotel was pretty, the beds comfortable and the bathroom surprisingly big. The hotel offered free coffee and tea for free in the afternoons, which was a very pleasing surprise and made every afternoon better when coming back to the hotel.

Talca's got a very different vibe to other cities in the area. It's a great base for visiting Altos de Lircay National Park, and if you get the first bus there and the last bus back you can do the Enladrillado hike which is spectacular!

In my mind, Talca itself is not an interesting city at all.
In my mind, Talca itself is not an interesting city at all. However, it's a very good stepping point from which to visit Vilches, a village in the magnificent Andes mountains, and wineries in the Maule river valley.
The staff were exceptional, without exception everyone was kind, thoughtful and helpful. The breakfasts were plentiful with plenty of choice, also breakfast boxes for the early morning trips out were available. Dinner was fun, eating 'en-famile'. The menu was vegetarian and really delicious (we are meat eaters but loved the veggie food).
Franz arranges amazing trekking trips and is a font of knowledge.
About 5 miles from the centre of Talca and very straightforward by taxi or uber.
With a little TLC (read: a big clean) this could be a real gem. Room wasn't big, but good enough. The best thing is the garden with the pool (which was closed...) which felt like an oasis in the city and is a nice place to hang out on a warm day.
There's no lock on the door of the room but it is a small hotel with just a few rooms and the host seems always around and there are cameras. The main door was always locked. So felt perfectly safe.
Very nice hotel, especially because of the friendly and helpful staff. Our room was lovely with a nice balcony, and the breakfast room was gorgeous. The location was great because it is near a square, with several restaurants and bars nearby. One of the staff recommended a restaurant to us (Pisco Lima), and even made suggestions on what to order. We thought it was one of the best meals we had during our month-long trip to Chile.

The hotel offered free coffee and tea for free in the afternoons, which was a very pleasing surprise and made every afternoon better when coming back to the hotel.
The Room was very nice in size and appliences, we were at the 8th floor so a very nice view of the city too. Staff was very friendly and the location was great, many places to go near the hotel. There was also a little park in front with activities when we were there. Totally recommended.
Talca is a "real" Chilean town with not a lot of tourist, which we enjoyed! Hostel Casa Azul was a little off the main plaza and we were given a large room and access to the kitchen ( no other guests were there). Close to Diagonal Street with restaurants and even a trendy cerveceria.
Property located in a very quiet & safe area. I had to park my car outside the hotel and there was never any issue - safety wise. Very clean and nicely decorated - some lovely antiques on display in the reception area made it look more welcoming. Breakfast was fair.
Very stylish remodeled hotel that has been in the family for generations. The young couple who have taken over are very kind and welcoming. They were very friendly about our puppy as well. secure parking on site and cute park across the street.
Nice place to stay.. If you want to go out all day, is a good place to take a rest with a god breakfast. It couldn't be a good option if you need or want to be all day long in the hotel.
Friendly staff, the location, and the restaurant of the Hotel. However, before arriving, we asked for gluten-free food for breakfast and they did not have any until the second day.
The hotel is in a very nice area. On the main Alameda (Avenue). Enjoyed the breakfast which had a fair selection of fruits, cereals, pastries and breads.
Free parking is a plus.
Very nice a and new facilities and decor. Walking distance to restaurants and nice breakfast. Overall, great hotel. Definitively will come back when in Talca.
This was a stopping point on the way to Valparaiso.
Very nice hotel would definitely stay there again The staff were exceptionally pleasant and accommodating
