The hotel is in an excellent position
The personnel that I met at the reception is friendly and tries to help despite the situation and the circumstances: they assigned me first to a room on the ground floor which stinked like mold, and as soon as it was communicated to them they offered me to change to another one on the first floor.

I loved the town, the cleanliness, the relaxed atmosphere, however it was expensive to buy coffees out and meals etc. But I did know that before I came. I think the hotel would benefit travellers with more information on what they can do. I did my own research on the internet. Also I have friends there.

Generally overpriced restaurants and nothing much to see.
Generally overpriced restaurants and nothing much to see. Went there because of all the media hype and reports of how fantastic it was. Wish we'd stayed longer in Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Wouldn't go back

Favorite spots: Punta has this main advantage: Standard quality year over year. shinning and everclear city. you breath calm everywhere, polite people respecting other as well on beach or transit or just waking on the street.
Eat: mainly fresh sea products and vegetables that i cook.
Avoid : TAXIS
The taxis have a normal fee, but the taxi drivers are disrespecfull , take wrong ways in order to inflate the ticket (and one time restart the trip on the semaphore) better took a web service

Punta del Este is the best of both worlds: an incredible beach next to a stunning and cosmopolitan city. The city is lively and has plenty of exciting activities, from playing golf to shopping in the best stores of the country.
The beaches are amazing and there are different options visitors can choose depending on their likes.
It is really a natural treasure Uruguay has, that together with the excellent maintenance the government gives to it, makes it the most fantastic city in Uruguay!!

The city Punta del Este has no particular charm…surroundings show plenty of villas « hollywood » style : nice to stroll around…Museo Ralli is a must see!
Barra (8kms) and Jose Ignacio (30 kms) worth the visit .
The location on the peninsula near the marina is perfect for wandering out in the evening to many fine, reasonably priced restaurants without needing a car or taxi. (The quality of the seafood in Punta del Este is unsurpassed.) The hotel staff, the breakfast, the cleanliness all are consistently excellent. We've been staying there over the years, and it's always a relaxing and welcoming home base.
Strong wifi throughout. Smooth and professional check-in. The Male staff member spoke English well and gave good tips about what to do and see in the area. The dorm room was clean and spacious. Mattresses weren't amazing, but they were ok.
I only stayed there my final night in Punta del Este but I wish I had have stayed there from the beginning. It was far better than the hostel I stayed at first.
easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. staff is extremely friendly and helpful. rooms are beautiful. i loved the indoor pool and steam room and overall it’s a really serene environment. also really appreciated that they had a gym and the fact that going to everywhere in town took max 10-15 mins drive. it was perfect for a weekend getaway and for relaxing. would definitely come back.
It’s a marvelous Hotel, recently renovated, with a beautiful design and with all the facilities for an outstanding stay, including the external beautiful pool, the Spa, the Casino and the new Wine Bar. The staff is extremely kind, the room is very comfortable, with a spacious balcony, where one can appreciate the nice view of the river side and part of the city. Very good breakfast.
The small, family run Hotel Bonne Etoile deserves all five stars: excellent service, great breakfast, friendly and warm atmosphere, clean and well organized and correctly priced. Also, the location on the Brava side of the peninsula gives good protection against the strong winter storms. We like it so much here that we decided to extend our stay for 3 more weeks! 100% recommended!
Great hotel in the hearth of Punta del Este. Amazing value for money (at least in February). It has a pretty decent buffet breakfast included in the price. Nice, heated indoor pool. Fantastic staff, super friendly and helpful. You also have the option of late checkout (subject to availability). Highly recommended, particularly for short stays!
It’s inside a beautiful and calm neighborhood. It’s cozy and surrounded by green. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They grilled a delicious Uruguayan style barbecue for us. The access to the beaches and downtown is easy. If I ever go back to Punta del Este, that’s where I am staying.
Just a lovely hotel. Super comfortable room and a lovely lounge with a roaring log stove that was very welcome in mid-winter! Delicious breakfast with homemade yogurt. Will definitely be back and look forward to seeing it in summer. And a special mention for Sofia who is simply brilliant!
The hotel has an excellent location, a few meters from the coast.
The breakfast was really great, it was a lot of food, they replenished the food at every moment. The room was a good size, they cleaned every day, we had air conditioning and window, excellent facilities.
Loved everything. Beautiful clean spacious hotel. Pretty grounds and pool. Charming helpful owner, Pablo, who speaks good English, and his lovely staff. Superb breakfast with excellent homemade bread and cakes. Fabulous soft bedding. Superbly comfortable room.
A no frills hotel, clean and pleasant. Staff was nice. Location a definite plus, on the best street of Punta del Este, next door to the best (with the popularity to prove it!) craft beer restaurant in PdE, and a stone's throw to hipster cafés. Fine value.
White, slightly corporate style hotel that ticks all the boxes. Not much of a South American feel but a super kingsize bed and a good buffet breakfast. Safe area to walk around at night
Great location, super efficient and friendly staff, and very easy check-in process.
Very good overall vibe and good meeting place for a first-time visitor to Punta del Este.
Everything was perfect. You'd be really hard pressed to find anything wrong with this hotel. Staff were great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would love to go back!
Good breakfast, confortable rooms with a proper hotwater on bathroom and minifreezer to use. Friendly staff and fast checkinout. Parking free close to hotel
