A lovely host and convenient to where we needed to be
This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking.

The grounds and courtyard room were immaculate, staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming.
We originally booked a dinner in the restaurant but decided the bar menu suited our appetite better on that particular evening.
The bar food was of restaurant quality and a good size portion.
The overall atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxing and quiet.
We will definitely be staying again and would recommend it to anyone considering a stay.

A town not too far from Dublin airport and within easy distance to Co Tyrone ,Northern Ireland. The locals very very friendly and the local pubs were traditional , well at least the ones I went into. YES the Guinness does taste different to the British variety .Ireland in common with most places these days is not a cheap place ,indeed the price of property is on par with England as opposed to a few years when it was dirt cheap.
Roads generally in good repair , the main ones , the side roads can be problematic.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, with advice (local taxi's who were very reliable & fair priced)
Wilst preparing for an event a 'sticky' garment cleaner was required; again reception were able to help. I cannot fault the staff for their help & advice. A real credit to the hotel.

I thought it was a busy bright town with v friendly people . More detailed tourist info would help & be more widely available eg the Harry Clark windows in St Joseph’s Church . Stunning but only found them thanks to lovely ,informative lady in craft shop in Lace Centre.

Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay.
Myself and my daughter had a very relaxing stay. We particularly enjoyed the spa treatment called ‘the pick n mix’. The lady who gave us Indian head massages and leg and foot massages was outstanding. The food in the restaurant was fabulous with beautiful views surrounding the dining area. The staff were so helpful and friendly. It is a very welcoming hotel. Our only minor disappointment was the big, hard pillows. I didn’t sleep very well. In saying that, we would come back !
the location worked well for us and this was one of the only hotels available (now I know why). I was not expecting much and even at that this was below my expectations. I will say that the breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh - although we finished our entire meal with no coffee because we couldn't get any staff to wait on us. I even got up and approached people to ask someone to bring coffee to our table but they were too busy trying to take care of other things to deliver anything before we were finished eating.
We had a very pleasant stay at Rock House. The beds are on par with any high end hotel in terms of comfort, it’s calm, clean and quiet and just a short but nice walk from Carrick town centre. The owners were absolutely great, friendly and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. The breakfast was amazing too! I will definitely stay here again any time I’m visiting the area.
we arrived and had to organise a taxi to the nuremore hotel for our event. the woman at the desk on Saturday couldn’t do enough for us as she had immediately organised a taxi for us. the bar staff and breakfast staff on Sunday morning were also very kind and showed so much generosity. the room was very spacious and clean.
The food for the evening was exceptional
The bed was very comfortable, and no noise from bar
The location of the hotel was very rural and we could sit outside in the sun with a drink. Lovely.
The decor in the hotel was very nice. Really pleasant
My husband and I have stayed at this hotel many times and as always we were very pleased with our stay. The staff were super friendly and very accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance to everything in the town if you are healthy.
Lovely country house hotel. Room spacious but perhaps decor just a little tired. Staff lovely, couldn’t do enough for you so this more than made up for any ‘tired’ decor! Wonderful stay and will return.
Breakfast, staff everything was above and beyond my expectations. Ireland will always be a wonderful place to me, I left it 50 years ago to see the world and I still call it home.
Pauline was a fantastic host. The room was perfect and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. It's just a short walk to the centre of Carrickmacross.
We dined in the hotel throughout our mini break and found the food to be of a high quality and delicious.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful.
