Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes.
Great town with many shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes. Saturday morning market was impressive. Coast line tram service runs up most of the Belgium coast (we had a day in Ostend). Sea front is clean tidy, beach is massive (beach huts available for hire). Train station is accessible by tram.

Although a small town, the centre is very full with shops, food stalls and restraurant. Fries, ice-cream and chocolate are all there. Although as :Belgium, I'd expect way more chocolate shops.
The beach is long and not crowded. It is fitted with cabins that can be rented.
There is an amusement park (and water park) which can make for a fun day out. You'd need to book it.
There are not halal food places around, and the closest thing is across the French border (~20KM).

There was a market in the centre that was lively and full of interesting things. De Panne is expensive and even moderate restaurants cost Euro 70/80 for two. THe beach is long and sandy so ideal for those with children.

Hidden gem.
Hidden gem. Miles of soft sand, with sheltered eating/drinking restaurants on the beach. Miles of promenade, easily accessed with the hire of a bicycle or cart. The town has remarkable architecture, reflecting th history of late 19th century grandeur right up to on going developments.

Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly.
Lovely town, in summer or winter. People are very friendly. Good selection of shops and restaurants. Lots to see and do. Coastal tram access. Easy access to the motorway. The beach is huge and it never feels crowded. De Panne is a wonderful example of the best of Belgium.
THIS HOTEL IS INCREDIBLE I CANNOT RECOMMEND THE PLOPSA HOTEL ENOUGH AND I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
THE STAFF ARE SUPER HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND WILL DO ANYTHING THEY CAN TO MAKE YOUR STAY A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE, MY ROOM (AS AN ACCESSIBLE) WAS HUGE, WITH A MASSIVE BATHROOM ALL OF WHICH WAS IMPECCABLE IN REGARDS TO CLEANLINESS.
HUGE BED, SUPER COMFY COULD HAVE SLEPT FOR DAYS
THEY WERE EVEN KIND ENOUGH TO PROVIDE FREE EXTRA WATER TO MY ROOM AND SERVE ME BREAKFAST AFTER HOURS - I OVERSLEPT - BLAME THE BED :D
Do you fancy a real hotel, far from the hipster-ish standards? An old but gold kind of thing with wooden walls and a nice terrace outside? Then Montana is for you. We spent there 2 night and then decided to stay for two more, so this explains a lot :) Super close to the beach but not so close to hear the noise of people chatting and strolling. Very good breakfast, a nice family room with all the necessary comfort. Super clean and the owners were very kind. All seems familiar and you feel like home.
The Hotel is one street away from the beach and from our room we had direct view to the sea. The room was fine in size and equipped with a Nespresso machine where the capsuletes where refilled evry day. We received a small present of belgian choclette. The shopping streets are nearby and two cocktails bars nearby. Some restaurants are on the sea side.
The french border is a 5 min ride away.
I made the reservation very last minute, like a day before, but this was not a problem. Everything was clean when we arrived, there was some food in the fridge, clean towels in the bathroom. Every morning at 8am the breakfast arrived. My son loved the bunk bed and wanted to stay longer. It is really close to Plopsaland, which was great in our case.
Breakfast was awesome with a lot of variety of food like bread/chees/fruits/....The room was very big and comfortable.
the hotel is close to the beach and easy to reach from the train station by tram. There is a billiard, ping-pong and swimming pool accessible for everyone. Very nice and friendly service.
I liked the short walk to plopsaland and the tram station nearby. And I really liked how friendly the owner is. Beautiful garden with some goats and chickens (they didn't make any noise or such during our stay). Not to forget the rich breakfasts. The owner will make you omlette or boiled egg on request.
We've been to the IDO World championship; We loved being next to Plopsaland and there was enough space for 7 adults dancer + 2 supervisoer; Wonderful accommodation; very well frunished kitchen and nice bathrooms; we really enjoyed our stay
Excellent breakfast with plenty of options. Better than expected.
De Verloren Gernoare is located directly opposite De Panne station and very close to Plopsaland with free parking available nearby.
Breakfast was excellent, very comfortable beds, location perfect for families that want to go to Plopsaland, tram to the sea near by, staff very friendly, private parking... very very pleased
Quiet location, close to Plopsaland and convenient for Calais.
Staff are very friendly and helpful
The on site restaurant was very convenient and served good food
Beautiful hotel, perfect location very close to the beach, very large breakfast. Rooms and bathroom were very clean. Also no noise from other rooms/people.
