I’ve always enjoyed the buffet breakfast at Bubbles and this time was no different. The food was good and a great variety. The location of the Vivanta is so central and easy to access. I always enjoy my stay there especially my room as I got an upgrade to the beautiful sunset view sea facing room. Unfortunately the weather was quite a dampner and I caught only a very watery sunset on one day as the other days the horizon was filled with ominous rain clouds.

Hot in April. Never been in such a hot, humid place.
Hot in April. Never been in such a hot, humid place. Would go outside, do whatever I went out to do then back inside to lie under the fan. Heat rash turned to bumps and cuts. Light, cotton kurta would be wet by the time I returned.
Ayurvedic massage, a coffee shop, walk to the beach, buy clothes. There are things to do if you look. In an ancient spice trading Capitol, breakfast was varied, then it was too hot to eat.

A very classy nice restaurant.
A very classy nice restaurant. A warm welcoming, followed by an excellent service, with a lot of attention to details on order to please you.
I took at first a tartare, the beef was excellent. With that I took a glass of the local red wine. Somewhat surprising, it does not taste like anything I have already drunk, but I kinda liked it.
Then I took a marbled steak with homemade French fries and homemade ketchup (!). No word to say that it was awesome.
The service always with a smile and very patient with us.

My recent visit to Cochin, Kerala was nothing short of...
My recent visit to Cochin, Kerala was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the beauty and charm of this historic city.
Exploring the streets of Fort Kochi was like stepping back in time, with its colonial architecture, bustling markets, and vibrant culture. The Chinese fishing nets along the waterfront were a sight to behold, especially during sunset when the sky was painted in hues of orange and pink.
One of the highlights of my trip was visiting the Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace. The intricate artwork and historical artifacts inside were truly impressive, offering a glimpse into Kerala's rich heritage.
I also had the pleasure of indulging in some of the most delicious seafood dishes I've ever tasted. Whether it was fresh fish curry at a local eatery or a traditional Kerala thali at a family-run restaurant, each meal was a culinary delight.
The warmth and hospitality of the people of Cochin further enhanced my experience. From the friendly smiles of shopkeepers to the helpful advice of locals, I felt welcomed and at home throughout my stay.
Overall, my time in Cochin, Kerala was an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to immerse themselves in the beauty, culture, and flavors of southern India.

Beautiful mix of heritage, historical and modernised places all around. At least a 3 day trip to experience all faces of city and satisfy your taste buds.
Great for people looking to experience beach life, back waters and some good resorts and food.
Only thing to be considered is the weather while travelling and trip to pre planned.
We had booked 2 rooms via booking.com and due to some technical glitch our bookings didn't entirely transfer over to the property. Manager Dushyantha Shetty went out of his way to accommodate our family. He gave us a suite and free breakfast to compensate for the glitch caused by booking.com. I noticed the entire staff at Ginger Kochi took customer satisfaction to their hearts and ensured the guests were happy. I would certainly book at Ginger Kochi next time when we're at Cochin.
Excellent reception, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Gave good recommendations for eating and visiting attractions. Room was large, cool in the heat. Pool was large.
Not at all far from all tourist attractions, easy stroll.
We are frequent visitors to Fort Cochin for work, and have stayed in many of the hotels, expensive and cheap, at different times. This is the best value for money and in the circumstances it did everything we wanted it to.
Our visit to Hotel Arches was only brief as we just had one night in Cochin before going to the airportto continue our travels. The hotel was very clean, the room comfortable and the situation ideal for sightseeing. We also used the restaurant for two meals and found it clean and good value with tasty food. Although we left the hotel to early in the morning to go to breakfast, the hotel kindly packed us a very simple packed breakfast to take with us.
The Hotel is centrally located close to railway- and metrostation. Also motorrikscha and taxi are close to.
The booking and check-in was easy and friendly.
Our Superior-room was comfortable, highly equipped and gave us a sense of well- being. Windows with good noise protection.
For breakfast there was a rich buffet with both tasty indian and continental food. Fresh Juice and fruits completed the offer. Reasonable restaurant on the ground floor.
This beautiful boutique hotel is absolutely charming! The rooms were traditional but with a modern bathroom and good air conditioning. The communal areas offer plenty of places to sit and relax after a busy day exploring Cochin. Even the reception area is welcoming and serene. The bed was very comfortable (had an incredible sleep), the staff were very attentive and breakfast was delicious!
Worth paying a bit extra for a room with a balcony.
Last night I was never like to remember. My 6-year-old daughter and I felt very ashamed of Nambiars hotel. Rude, inhumane staff and owner. At about midnight, the booked room was dropped off without being given. Without even thinking that there was a six-year-old girl in the group. Please no one come here as a family..

Neat & clean hotel in the heart of the city. Metro station opposite to the hotel is the plus point of the hotel, so that the guests can travel anywhere in Kochi by metro. Also, the hotel is walkable distance from Ernakulam town railway station. Over all I found it’s the best hotel in Kochi with all basic amenities. I’ll surely recommend this hotel to the travellers who are looking for a descent stay in the Kochi city with affordable price.
I nearly had visited 5 south indian cities (kanniyakumari, Rameswaram, Coimbatore, trivandrum & Cochin in span of 16 days & I clearly say that this Homestay was the Best stay during my visit & that's why I cancelled out my allepey trip just to stay 1 more extra day and enjoy this beautiful city and country last but not the least owner of the homestay was also the plus point in making my journey beautiful
Real good property at this price range near airport . I have traveled through Cochin airport for so many years and stayed in many hotels in and around Cochin airport . This was the best stay ever in this budget . Value for money !!
My kids really enjoyed the play area which is not expected in a transit hotel . We could leave the kids safely in the play area and relax.
This is the Best homestay during my trip in India. Great location in a quiet small alley but close from all shops, restaurants, sea and interesting sites of Fort Cochin. Comfortable large room with fan. Great WiFi Great rooftop. But The Best was Charlotte and her family.. so friendly. I had a great evening talking with them. I wish i could have stayed longer
The management and staff were superb which one expects from the Oberoi/Trident chain of Hotels managed by East India Hotels Ltd.
The hotel is located in a tranquil
Quiet area of Willingdon Island away from the hustle and bustle of Cochin.
Thankyou all the staff at this wonderful property
Simple but pleasant accommodation for our 2 night stay in Cochin. Great location close to all main attractions while in a quiet, peaceful road. Caretaker very welcoming and helpful, arranged for tickets to the Kathakali dance and gave great restaurant recommendations.
Good location n free pick up from airport. Aircon works perfectly. Clean room. No toilet paper in room but you can ask for it. Delicious typical Indian breakfast chosen from a simple menu served in room. Convenient for those looking for short stay near airport.
- Very friendly and helpful staff
- Nice spacious pool area
- Excellent value for money (even considering that the hotel would rather have 4 stars according to international standards and not the official 5 stars)
- Big room
This was by far the best stay in India during my 2 months travelling. The place is clean and very quiet, hotel manager is super helpful and polite, location is in the center. Hopefully can visit this place soon again.
