The hotel is nice enough for an overnight stay near Schiphol. Excellent connections to public transport and a complimentary airport shuttle. The rooms feel a bit dated, but are comfortable. Check in was very efficient.

The breakfast was excellent.
The location was surrounded by construction and road closures while we were there, so it was a bit forlorn-looking, but that can’t be helped. There are lots of forested walking paths in the area, so once we got to those, the location was great.
The bed was comfortable and we really liked to two choices of pillow, firm or soft.
The dining room and lounge were both inviting and comfortable.
Van der Valk Schiphol is 10 minutes’ drive from Schiphol Airport and 21 km from Amsterdam. Guests benefit from the free shuttle service and free WiFi throughout the hotel.

Hoofddorp represents one of those typical Dutch engineering marvels. Created after the draining of a lake and surrounding marshlands, it is today a mix of the traditional Dutch and ultimate modernity. Hoofddorp is located next to Schiphol International Airport and less than 30 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre.
Founded in the mid-19th century after the draining of the Haarlemmer Lake, the town still maintains old typical houses, an old fort, and the 1856 windmill called ‘De Eersteling’, or ‘The First’. But the town is mostly known today as a tranquil suburb of Amsterdam, as well as an important hub where several companies have built their modern headquarters.
From Hoofddorp Railway Station you can reach the main hall of Schiphol International in less than 10 minutes by train. Links to Leiden, Utrecht and The Hague are also available, as well as numerous bus lines.
Hotels in Hoofddorp can be found in the city and near the railway station, but most of them are actually in the premises of Amsterdam Airport. Booking.com offers a variety of deals in and around the town.

We only stayed one night because we were flying home to Canada after 3 1/2 weeks in Europe, but found Hoofddorp a charming town, and would love to have stayed longer.
There are lots of forested walking paths, a community farm with animals, many shops and restaurants.

We used Hoofddorp as a base for our Amsterdam and Rotterdam visit as it's not far from Schiphol and public transportation. We walked to the Hoofddorp shopping mall once from our hotel to get some food and buy some essentials. The mall is huge with plenty of places to eat and drink, but Hoofddorp definitely isn't a must-go.

Hoofddorp appears to be where a lot of the main hotels for Schiphol Airport are situated. Arriving there late at night, and coming only because I needed to stay somewhere after flight cancellations, I didn't have a chance to assess the place much, except that it's full of hotels and very busy (traffic noises right through the night). But it's convenient for the airport, although I wouldn't want to drive the route myself. If you're stuck at Schiphol (as I was), look for a Hoofddorp hotel with a shuttle service on offer, book it, then go out through the main airport entrance, walk through the buses and look for stand A9-13. That's where the shuttles come to, and most of them post their (frequent) pick-up times on the bus shelter.

The travellers need to decide whether to stay away from the main city as it is quite costly to travel to Amsterdam city centre. There was no facility available to book tickets for a week at the Railway Station. One has to buy a return ticket every day at the kiosk to travel to the city.

Friedly people ready to help.
Friedly people ready to help. Shuttle to and from hotel worked well for us but had trouble finding it when we got to the airport. We phoned the hotel for the location of the shuttle but got the wrong directions but finally figured it out after we phoned a second time and talked to someone different.

Very disappointed with my stay.
Very disappointed with my stay. The room was dirty and many supplies were broken. The staff at the front desk was rather rude and didn’t do any effort to solve our questions. It was a very expensive stay compared to other hotels in Amsterdam.
The general quality of the hotel is high standard, as you would expect from a Marriott, the staff is exceptionally kind and helpful. The location is very convenient, close to Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zandvoort. We were by car and had the plan to just wander around, and this was perfect. The restaurant at the back of the park was also a very good bonus: a nice walk in the park, a good seafood dinner on the side of the lake, it’s the perfect closing of a day out. If you like jogging while traveling this is the perfect place.
Excellent and convenient location next to the train station and bus station where day and night buses arrive. At the vending machine at Hoofddorp train station, you can buy an Amsterdam Region travel ticket and top up with OV chipkaat. The hotel has excellent breakfasts and a vegetarian menu. The room is clean and modern, very comfortable bed. From the Hoofddorp station it is convenient to travel around the suburbs of Amsterdam and to other cities. Amsterdam is 20 minutes away by train.
Location: Hoofddorp train station is right across the hotel making it easy to get into Amsterdam and Schiphol airport
Breakfast: Breakfast was good with a good variety of food and beverage.
Room: Stayed in the Superior Queen suite. In-room amenities were nice and the bathroom was big and spacious. Could have been better if they have the Illy coffee that I was expecting based on the hotel website but not a deal breaker
If you need to stay near the hotel for a night or two then this newly constructed hotel is a great choice. Just one stop by frequent train from Schiphol Airport, and then walk the path from Hoofddorp station that takes you right to the hotel. The hotel has only recently been constructed so everything is super clean and new inside. And there was no aircraft noise at all from the airport.
Everything was very good. Rooms were very nice and comfortable, cleaned every day. The train station is 10 minutes walk, very convenient. Hotel is very close to Amsterdam airport, took us 15 minutes via taxi and only 25 euro. Better to not book taxi in advance as they charge 45 euros if booked in advance via some company.
location and ease of getting to and from Schiphol airport. Staff at front desk very helpful. 1.5 euro bus ride #397 from airport. Then direct drain to central station to go to the city of take the same bus #397 to central station in the city. all very easy. Taxi from airport 35 euros!!!, bus 1.5 euros and much quicker
NinetyNine Amsterdam Airport is located very close to Amsterdam airport. It is located close to the public trasportation. This allows for affordable transportation between the airport, city center and the hotel. The facilities are clean and comfortable. The breakfast selection is not high, but holds good quality.
Affordable stay for a night close to Schiphol.
From the hotel there are multiple busses that take 10 min to get to schiphol. Otherwise, you could get a taxi. The busses stop within 5 min walk from the hotel.
Checkin was straightforward and staff were helpful.
The breakfast was great and from early morning 0530 till 1100 available. The hotel is really close to the airport so with the shuttle you can easily go back to the airport and take the train to Amsterdam. The room is spacious and the showers are excellent.
Had to make reservation at short notice when trains were cancelled and I had to return to Amsterdam. Booked and arrived within 1 hour and everything was perfect ! Hotel shuttle back to airport for train in the morning also great !
Location is great 24km from amsterdam centrum and huge parking with EV charger. Lot of board games available in the lobby + nice table tennis and fooseball table is really good to have lots of do in your free time in the hotel
The staff was very kind. The breakfast was okey, nothing special.
The hotel has a free parking lot. The train station is around 20mins by foot, from where you can get Amsterdam's main station during 20-30mins.
We enjoyed the style of the hotel and found the room comfortable. Was easy enough to get into central Amsterdam by using the bus stop 10 mins from the hotel to the airport and getting the train from there.
Hosts were more than accomodating and very friendly. There was a sense of community when seeing them in-between trips leaving the city and coming back from Amsterdam Central. I'd come back again (:
They hotel provides transport to and from airport all day in 30-minute schedules which is convenient for tourists especially when you need to catch the train to move around Amsterdam.
The breakfast was pretty good, the hotel is perfect when you travel by car, train station around the corner to Amsterdam (approx. 25 min), nice rooms, modern and clean hotel
The room was clean and comfortable, it is near Hoofddorp Train Station, so it is very convenient to Schiphol airport. The price was also reasonable, with breakfast included.
-Close to Hoofddorp train station but there's a stair on the way to the hotel which might be a problem if you have large and heavy luggage🥹
-The room is nice and clean.
