What I like about the place? THE STAFF! They were genuinely nice and friendly!
We stayed for 4 days and we enjoyed every moment of it. As soon as we arrived, i felt the "homey" vibe.
The food were amazing too!!! Not a single drop of disappointment with the food. Everything we ordered are just delicious!
Special thanks to Jessa, Renj, Pau and Danny who tirelessly always have smiles on their face!

Fantastic dive resort with excellent staff. The service was top-notch from pickup throughout our stay. The in-house dive center offers up to 5 dives a day around the area with great dive masters. The location is clean, quiet, very well maintained and has a lush garden and nice swimming pool. The food is excellent, homemade and has different options. Breakfast is great.

Absolutely loved the villa!! Great design and very spacious. The rooms were super comfortable and the 2 bathrooms were both modern and everything worked great. Nice big TVs and good WiFi.
We arrived late and Vangeline gave us a lovely welcome... thank you to all of the staff, they were so attentive and a nice breakfast was served at the beachside restaurant next door. Thanks again and we look forward to returning in the future! A first class stay!

We stayed in Dauin for one night en route from Dumaguete to Apo Island because I had heard that the Dauin Marine Sanctuary off of Dauin Beach was an awesome spot to snorkel. And it was!!! The coral garden was literally right off the beach within a 1 minute swim. We arrived by tricycle from Dumaguete. We stayed at a resort right on Dauin Beach for easy and quick access. There were multiple restaurants in the area within a 3-10 min walk. We ate at Jardin's. They had a nice variety of very tasty food, and the owners were lovely and accommodating. We stayed late and just chatted with them. We were easily able to catch another tricycle along the main road to get to Malatapay to catch our ferry to Apo Island the next morning.

It's a Divers thing.
It's a Divers thing. If you don't dive there is only the dark sand beach. Very crowded on weekends. Lots of loud ghetto blasters.
No night life except a couple of quiet bars on the main road. No food available after 10pm. Maybe if you're lucky a hotdog stand, but you have to look for it. She changes locations every few days.

Dauin is lovely- I would 100% come back here again and recommend to friends. It is nowhere near as busy as other places we visited on Cebu Island (malapascua, moalboal). The locals seem to care so much more about their coastline and the marine ecosystem- they have designated sanctuary areas where the coral and fish are amazing. There is also a rule that buildings must be more than 30m from the high water mark. The beach is nice - not much rubbish. Dark sand (which can get hot!) You can snorkel right off the beach - lovely coral, fish, turtles etc.
And the area is not too busy. Locals come here for picnics and its a really nice atmosphere.
Proximity to the beach and the House Reef just a walk off the beach is the best. Yancy and Boris were the consumate hosts providing us with transportation and great suggestions for a night out at Lokal restaurant just down main highway in Dauin. We stayed in the house, not one of the domes and we were very happy. Wi-Fi was strong and there is TV for those rare down time moments to watch movies and such. Staff service was excellent cooking great food and providing one more friendly encounter with the beautiful people of the Philippines.
The dive shop that has an office in the hotel - Apo Dive - was great! I did some shore dives around Dauin, including reef and muck dives, and they arranged the Apo Island day trip. The dive instructors were professional and super nice and helped me find some frogfish in the muck :)
The food in the restaurant of the hotel was also good, though they don’t offer good vegetarian options. Portions were large - I asked for half portions, which they provided (same price as the full portion).
Absolutely loved the villa!! Great design and very spacious. The rooms were super comfortable and the 2 bathrooms were both modern and everything worked great. Nice big TVs and good WiFi.

The staff were very warm and welcoming! It makes a BIG difference.
I planned the Dumaguete trip last minute, and stayed just 1 night at Mike's. But they were very helpful in helping me arrange the rest of my trip -- from booking motorcycle rentals, to transfers, etc. I appreciate so much the help!
The room was big and comfortable and clean!
It was difficult leaving this simple beach life resort. I did two mixed snorkel/dive trips with AivyMaes to Apo Island. As a snorkeler the first time and as a diver the second, I thought they did a great job serving both groups. Dive and resort staff were great. I had a fan only bungalow and I was comfortable with the 26C nights.
diving instructors are great people. reef in front of the resort is just amazing !
staff is really nice and helpful
we liked the bamboo bedrooms
resort is very clean. common showers and toilets are very clean too.
you are directly on the beach which is great for enjoying sunset, sunrise and having breakfast/dinner
Everything was perfect. The owner and other supporting stuff were really helpful and kind. The owner helped me a lot to find a motorbike, or drop me off at the bus station. Amazing experience. The room was very comfortable, clean. One of the best accomodation in Philippines.
The property is on the beach, which is perfect for those love to play on the beach. The lodge has very unique and interesting design on it. Spent relaxing time on chairs on the first floor.
And welcomed with a bucket full of fruits! Staffs were friendly.
Beautiful garden with refreshing pool, enough hammocks to relax, professional diveshop! I did a nightdive and it was great ☺️. It’s a nice place to stay if you want to dive and relax. There’s a yoga studio in town and the beach is really close.
The property is well maintained and cleaned. The staff were very helpful and even arranged our airport transfers. The hostel is also a short walk to the beach. Ideal for visitors who are interested in snorkeling and diving.
Nice outdoor area and really nice and big swimming pool. Better than photos. Able to dive App Island as staff helped me to book it with another hotel as they were not going there on that day.
laid back & comfortable. lovely beach right on the ocean. Very friendly owner who went out of his way to make my stay a enjoyable. Great snorkelling / scuba trip to Alpo Island.
Nice ambiance, quiet at the dorm room. Near to small eateries and walking distance to the beach. They also have fun activities. Nice staff! Highly recommended!
