I arrived on the afternoon of a festival where the one-way Promenade was traffic free. With many street food stalls, music and a lot of public. The walk around the lake was enjoyable and also a trip up to Jakobshorn of reduced ticket prices (Fr. 18.- return, make sure that at the top you can get through the turnstile and not pay for the downhill journey like we did. Got a refund at the cash desk at the bottom though) for hotel guests with the tourist card. Also free travel on the the nostalgic train to Filisur and back and on all buses was a bonus. Scenery is splendid, and if you're a train enthusiast, it's the place to be for the Bernina or Glacier Express. Can recommend a bite to eat or just Coffee and Cake at Kaffee Klatsch on the Promenade. Schatzalp is just a funicular away and you'll feel lifted back to the beginning of the last century.

Davos - and Klosters - are great for holidays in summer and winter. skiing and nordic skiing anyway. But in summer there is the lake for kayaking or surfing or - if you don't mind the cold water - swimming. The mountains for downhill biking or hikes. The outdoors are second to none. In addition Davos offers a fantastic cultural program for visitors. Concerts, Young Artists or established orchestras etc. --- you can get special and unique experiences there. I highly recommend to look at the visitors or guest program by the DavosKlosters Tourist Board. From disc-golf to carriage rides, archery or visits by historic bus to Monstein brewery -- a divers and fabulous array of offers, you can only book them 2 weeks in advance but it's so worth it. Loads to do, adventure park, playgrounds and so much more. And you can get anywhere by bus or train.

Davos is a lovely city. Lots of walking/cycling routes.
Davos is a lovely city. Lots of walking/cycling routes. I recommend walking around Davos Lake. Trains/Buses are always on time and immaculate as for all of Switzerland. We had a lovely outdoor thermal swim in the local Wellness swimming pool called Eau-La-La, kids enjoyed the water slide.

Beautiful nature all around.
Beautiful nature all around. Parsens is a great place to ski with beautifull slopes. We didnt have time to explore other ski resorts around. Will try next time. They also have cross country skiing which i will try next time. There is a swimming pool and ice skating option in Davos. You can also visit Kirchners museum and admire his pictures. They have great backeries. You should try their Nut cake there. They have nice restaurants but the prices are really killing. It looks like there are only very wealthy people there who can pay all this. Reasonable option is to eat in Coop restaurant. We had a Christmas dinner at Angelo’s place which is a great place with a good food and very nice staff. We also liked Mountain’s Akt Bar. They had a good music and nice staff.

I was there for the annual running event "Davos X Trails". I had time on my hands so I playds tourist for a few days. Summer is the quiet period in Davos and you find a lot of walkers there. All the scenic liftes were open and as the weather was great there were a lot of people enjoying the lifts , walks and general scenery. Highly recommended.
Cleanliness throughout the facility. Staff very cordial and helpful. Elevator going down to two levels of the underground car park. Storage room for ski equipment right next to the entrance from the underground car park -1. Breakfast is adequate with limited choice but very good quality. Great location. Maybe at the end of Davos but close to everywhere. There is a great bakery with a wood-burning oven right next to the hotel.
Everything that was advertised was exactly as we found it. No surprises. The facilities and the staff are excellent, attentive and this hotel adds great value for you money spent. The location is also superb. I highly highly recommend this hotel above and beyond the big brand names in Davos, it’s more personalised, quite relaxing, quiet, and really a place to stay for a vacation where you come home feeling well rested.
exceptional value for money. super comfy bed, spacious room, view of Jakobshorn, quiet, accommodating staff, great spa area.
They gave us a Davos premium card upon arrival, which saved us a lot of money from the cable cars.
The dinner was the highlight of the restaurant.
If you like evening strolls, there is a very nice road just behind the hotel, with trees.
It was a short walk from the train station. Room was quiet, spacious and comfortable with a tea kettle.
It was very convenient to the ski rental shop and ski trails. Breakfast was great and the hotel restaurant was pleasant.
We met the Norwegian National Cross Country Ski Team members in the hotel breakfast room.
We will definitely stay again.
Very nice apart-hotel with a well equipped kitchenette and spacious bathroom (shower). The rooms are also equipped with a big smart TV. The place is perfectly located close to the center of Davos Dorf, with multiple supermarkets close by. Solaria has a bus stop right at the reception, and offers a very handy free shuttle-service to the ski slopes.
Every single aspect of this hotel was EXCEPTIONAL! The staff, the decor, the rooms (size and cleanliness), the food…..
I cannot say enough about how accommodating and wonderful this hotel was. We felt at home here, especially over the holidays.
Best hotel for families, very child friendly and very understanding staff.. Sylvia is very sweet and kind! We will definitely come back for sure!!! The location is awesome!!! Away from all fuss and bother of the city of Davos…
Beautiful and tastefully renovated Hotel, Alpine view from every window. What a terrific addition to Davos with a flair for 1908 Architecture! Great meals, friendly staff, comfy rooms with a balcony. Loved our stay.
Was there for the Davos X-Trails - perfect location just minutes away from the start. Additionally, hotel offered without asking the use of the pool/shower facilities after the run. Very kind and attentive.
Staff, design, location and the cleaneliness of the hotel are my top highlights. I didnt mind breakfast, but had to alway compare it to Dubai buffets, that have 10 times bigger variety. Food was good tho.
Very large room, recently renovated to 4-star standard.
Near to train station Davos-Platz
Tip: Take the elevator inside the parking garage and go to the top floor when leaving the train station
Good choice of breakfast, tranquil location with great view from balcony, and very nice staff! We were offered a free upgrade to the room with balcony. Enjoyed a lovely chalet hotel in Davos.
friendly staff, comfortable hotel, nice modern rooms, quick bus journey to the ski lift & the underground parking is excellent. Slopes are first class too.
