Perfect location for a stop whilst you're travelling to /from Italy. The village is just at the entrance of the tunnel. Quiet. Breakfast is good. The owner is very helpful.

Stayed here for one night but wish we could’ve stayed longer! The area is quiet, charming, and conveniently located. The staff were all welcoming and nice, the room was very clean, and the bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve slept in!
We also ate at the restaurant which was cozy and delicious.
What a great stay, thank you Hotel Sternen!

- The culinary experience surpassed our expectations with a sumptuous breakfast buffet and an excellent dinner at „The Japanese“, although prices are definitely rather high. „The Restaurant“ offers a wide variety of à la carte options, with decent food as well.
- We definitely liked the seamless fusion of Asian and Swiss aesthetics with exquisite furniture and captivating artworks
- Service / staff was attentive and friendly
- Spa is in my opinion large enough and offers a large indoor pool and a smaller outdoor pool in the upper section. The lower part of the spa area features saunas, steam baths and hot tubs with different temperatures

Cute little town with a detailed history.
Cute little town with a detailed history. Get a copy of the walking tour and/or check out the museum at the train station for more information about the tunnels and bridges. Göschenen is a great place to stay if skiing in Andermatt and you want to be away from the crowds. It’s a quick drive or train ride away.

So many places to hike and bike in the summer .
So many places to hike and bike in the summer . Unlimited winter sports.
Skiing from one mountain to the next without having to come down for hours. When you do you either catch a train, bus or lift back up. All mountains and transportation included in one lift ticket!
The hotel is easy to access and is just minutes from Andermatt. Our room was large and comfortable, with thick down duvets and fluffy pillows on the beds. The bathroom was large with a spacious shower and shelving for personal items. The bathroom was maintained daily, with the trash taken out and the towels and bath mat replaced. Breakfast was plentiful with good variety. William is a cheerful and friendly host, with good advice for skiing and the local area.
The hotel is very very old fashioned but it was clean, the owner was extremely kind and helpful. The breakfast was enough, with enough selection. It's in the central but it was quiet during the night. The parking is next to the house, enough places for big cars also. The walking route with dogs starts 50 meters from the house. Perfect stay for one night and good value for the money compared to the extremely expensive Andermatt.
Beautiful location, near the entry to the Gotthardtunnel. The house is very clean and we loved the bean bags ons the floor. In the fully equipped kitchen, you will find everything you need, coffee, thee etc. Airco works perfectly. The interior of the house is modern and very clean. Nice shower and good beds. You can walk into the village in about 5 minutes. There is a supermarket and a fantastic view.
beautiful location just 15 minutes from the highway leading to the gotthard tunnel. it’s a simple mountain hotel with small rooms without private bathroom, but everything was functional and clean. the restaurant has very good food, maybe a bit pricy but hey it’s Switzerland. super nice staff!
Nothing - it is desperately in need of refurbishment or demolition and the owner is perhaps the most unpleasant hotelier I have met in half a century travelling extensively for work and leisure - we were the only guests and after one night there in peak ski season, it was obvious why!
It is a modest hotel at a beautiful location, with a nice and welcoming atmosphere, good breakfast and a very nice place to have a drink in the evening. Owners are super friendly and make you feel right at home. The rooms are decorated very nicely as well.
Very lovely people in a nice, conveniently located hotel. Passing through for one night on a big train trip, we had breakfast and dinner at the hotel, both of which were great. Best thing, however, was the staff who were very kind and accommadating.
Kai and Alexandra are great hosts and did a great job keeping the atmosphere nice and cozy. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it was exactly what I was looking for during my bike adventure. It’s close to the ski resorts, trails and road bike galore.
Small village, not far from Andermatt and some nice spots to visit around the hotel and some only 30 min away by car. Nice and spacious room, good car park and the restaurant very nice food.
Stunning house in Goschenen a few minutes walk from the station, very handy for trains up to Andermatt. Modern, cosy, well equipped and comfortable. Has an honesty box stock of food/drinks.
It is very big traditional house, very clean and organized with everything needed. The location is very good is near Furka pass and Goschenen ralp. Mr John and Mrs Erica they are very kind.
William was so nice, he made our stay at Hotel Gottard worth the trip. He made many great suggestions in regards to what to do in the Göshenen area, ask for him if you stay here!

Aberto, the host, was incredibly friendly and helpful. Thanks to the quality products you find in the kitchen for breakfast, you won't miss a hotel buffet breakfast at all.
