Our previous accommodation on this trip was self-catering so it was nice to be waited on for a couple of days. The room was spacious with a beautiful view and very comfortable. The restaurant offered a good choice and prices were reasonable.
I loved the building, they don't build them like that now but rather rundown in some areas. Would cost a fortune to update.

Hosts Jim and Lorraine were fantastic. They were there to greet us on arrival. Show us around the property and explain how everything worked. They were exceptionally accommodating in regard to catering for breakfasts. I consider myself somewhat of an amateur bodybuilder and brought my own box of eggs not wanting to use all the Jim and Lorraine’s however Jim was adamant that he could cater for my needs and provided me with a hearty supply of scrambled eggs for my breakfast both mornings.
The property is walking distance to the Main Street with all the local shops, pubs and restaurants and is within a short drive to the local rothiemurchus estate where we enjoyed activities throughout our weekend.
I would highly recommend the Dunroamin BB to anyone visiting Aviemore and I will be sure to use it again myself the next time I visit.

Carrbridge is an attractive quiet village with woodland walks around it. It has a shop, garage (cheap petrol) and a cafe. The Landmark attraction is great for children and the Highland Wildlife Park is not far - both great activities.

It was very peaceful.
It was very peaceful. The staff Gina was helpful when we arrived. It was a bit far from anywhere walking. The lodge was adequate and the kitchen was fully equipped. However the cooker was old and while clean wasn’t very nice. Some of the buttons were worn and difficult to use. The heating was adequate. The bed felt hard and too narrow. We didn’t eat out so can’t comment on eating places. However it wasn’t far from Aviemore. We visited the ski centre, Loch Garten and Loch Morlich.

Nice old fashioned inn; food and drink excellent, great staff, especially Nathan, who went above and beyond to greet everyone at the bar. Despite shampoo and soap issue and noisy plumbing in my room, I’ll be back.

Very good location.
Very good location. On my 20 ti 25 minutes drive to Inverness. Town itself is very beautiful.
There is a landmark adventure park nearby and kids would love to enjoy.
Lochanhully resort is wonderful to stay with kids.
The expectations were low from reading reviews, but it was the only accomodation in the area that could accomodate us as a family of 5. I was greeted by a lovely lady at reception who was very kind and clearly experienced with the public. She even let us check in slightly early. There was also a lovely older gentleman who was dropping off laundry on the morning of our departure and he was again very cheerful and kind, he offered to take our rubbish, so i didn't have to drop it off.
Everything! Used to be an old hunting lodge, and Steve and Tracy have transformed it into a fabulous Inn. Beautiful rooms, very clean, super comfortable-best “sleep” of our entire trip, great breakfast! They were professional, but also treated us like old friends while we hung out with them in their very own bar that one evening. Reminded us of what B and B’s USED to be like back in the day.
A wee gem of a cottage which managed to be both compact and spacious; that's no mean feat! 😁
The cottage is ideally placed to explore Carrbridge and the surrounding area on foot, and also to travel further afield by car.
Spotlessly clean and very comfy, with lots of little extra touches (thanks for the milk and eggs!) that made it feel like a home from home.
I will definitely return!
Perfectly set in Carrbridge, peaceful spot set away from the touristy area and charming traditional Scottish decor on a beautiful parcel of land. Our room was large and so comfy. Steve and Tracy were absolutely lovely hosts (and cook!) We wish we could have stayed here longer.
Good value, hotel is in a nice location and had an outdoor seating area to enjoy a beer. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is being upgraded, the room we had was basic but it was clean. I'm sure it will be greatly improved when the renovation is completed.
Had a fantastic time here. Very welcomin, staff is lovely. Arrived late and Andre was kind enough to cook up a meal for me. Really enjoyed the pub food, beers and folks there that evening. Surrounding area is charming. Room was comfortable, great value.
Staff were very friendly, food was really tasty. The one beer I tried from the bar was excellent. Room was excellent. Beds were comfortable. En-suite facilities were great and everything worked as it should. 10/10 for everything.
After discovering that the local town was busy and seeing us on a bicycle made for two, the hosts very graciously provided dinner. The bar was a wonderful place for tall tales and the dram of whiskey will not be forgotten.
Warm, modern, beautifully decorated room. Scott and jasmine were very helpful, and made sure we were well looked after. Suggested the local hotel for dinner, which was ideal! Good location, but quiet, beautiful dark sky.
It actually felt like home for the few days we were there. Carrbridge is a great location, with easy access to the Cairngorms and the main A9. Not that you need that, as there are lovely walks around the village.
It was nice to have a full condo after days of hotels and B&Bs. It was conveniently located for our purposes. It was clean and well maintained, the staff were friendly and helpful.
The view over fields and animals was lovely and the cottage is charming. Beds a bit hard but ok. Location great, good choice for walking. Cairn hotel good and lovely staff.
Large sized room; quietness, semi-rural setting, the sound of the river water running past the hotel, great breakfast, most hospitable and friendly owner / operators.
The hotel was clean, bedrooms well stocked with coffee/tea/hot chocolate. Beds comfortable, shower easy to use.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, food excellent.
Kim left us milk, cheese, eggs and wine, which was a lovely touch! Carrbridge is a great base to explore the area and the local hotels are good for food and drink.
