Upon seeing Swansea for the first time, it hits you just how green it is, especially when viewed from Kilvey Hill. On a clear day the views stretch as far as sweeping Swansea Bay and even the undulating Mumbles headland at the edge of the Gower Peninsula - the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt beaches.
The Gower is also known for its castles, including Oystermouth Castle and Loughor Castle, overlooking the city from a hilltop. Swansea itself also has castle ruins which are Grade I listed, as is the Guildhall with its lavish interior frescoes.
Most historic city centre buildings were sadly lost during World War II, but the elegant Grand Theatre survived, as did Dylan Thomas’ childhood home in Uplands. The Swansea Museum – the oldest in Wales – is opposite the National Waterfront Museum and the LC indoor waterpark.
Offshore conditions are good for kitesurfing, and the marina shelters yachts overlooked by Wales’ tallest building: The Tower, Meridian Quay. The nearby SA1 Waterfront complex is becoming popular for its bars and restaurants, while shopping options include a covered market and the Morfa Shopping Park by Liberty Stadium, home to the city’s football and rubgy union teams.

I would recomnend the owner stays and tries to cook on the hob, which doesn't work and turn the heating on when needed, which doesn't work except the oil heater stuffed Ino to the small bedroom, try and follow the tv sound, lock the lock box, and check after each tenancy to make sure everything is in order for the next tenant. It isn't right to just say "Well the previous tenants didn't have any problems or have you checked the switches are on? Also we were not believed and no meeting suggested at the Bungalow to discuss. The Holiday Park employees were very polite and helpful even offering us one of their Bungalows so that we could finish our full booking instead of leaving a day early.

We used Swansea as a base for the Gower and found it suitably placed for our visit, we also visited Skewen and Neath for historical family reasons.
We would go back to this hotel again.
The evening meals had a very limited menu and some of the quality of produce was not great.
Favourite places were the Theatre and Bay.
Easy to get around very close to amenities.
We would avoid eating in the hotel restaurant and The secret beach bar and kitchen.

The city has excellent tourist facilities and offers.
The city has excellent tourist facilities and offers. We can mingle with the locals at the local market. The only con is that local commerce closes at 18h. You can reach most of tourist sites by foot. Or if you rent a bike at bike hub is another option. You have many supermarket and many restaurants to choose.

Swansea has a wide sandy beach - several miles long that stretches round the bay to Mumbles . modern marina with waterfront restaurants- I recommend the Welsh Hose - delicious , reasonably priced traditional Welsh food- Just like Mam makes - with a touch of Welsh ouse magic . The Shed also nice, a touch pricy . tasty breakfast at Hoogah Cafe, Bar + Kitchen - recommend their local lavender lemonade, rose or lavender hot chocolate - healthy breakfasts, and light meals - delicious - worth the walk . Swansea Market a must visit- Famous for its free cockles and laver bread- Also sells all sorts of everything including fresh local produce - Butchers- Gower salt marsh lamb, great fishmongers and fresh vegetable stalls, Bakers- look out for the Swanse loaf - great with local butter sold by the pat .Freshly made welsh cakes . Cafes & snack counter, hardware stores, hover repairs - gifts - all sorts of stuff. Singleton and neighbouring Brynmill parks also delightful - LS1 is fun pool and liesure centre close to the town centre - there is also a 50 m pool for more serious swimming mid way around the bay - Max Boyce song suns up the hiraeth and the croeso youy will find at Swansea 'Im going home to Swansea town, where day is dawning, Im going home to Swansea town, a lovely sea town morning "
Very nice stay at the hotel. Swansea was very interesting, and we took a bus to the Gower and The Mumbles, which were both worth seeing. We also met some interesting people in the hotel bar. The breakfast was good. Interesting neighborhood. We ate a great Italian cafe down the street, and had our laundry done at a facility the staff recommended. The hotel itself was interesting . We enjoyed the Dylan Thomas quotes placed around the hotel.. It also is right next to the train station.
Lovely, friendly staff who were very keen to help and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Clean rooms, especially the bathroom. Excellent, central location, right in the city centre and close to lots of restaurants and amenities. Despite central location, hotel was quiet and comfortable beds gave us a good nights sleep. Hotel has own off street car park behind the hotel, which is much cheaper than the surrounding multistories.
I had lived in Swansea during the 90's so the location and price were deciding factors. I had also stayed there during the 80's when a great heart stopper breakfast was offered! Always a big plus. Sadly no more.
If you're a light sleeper the weekend may be a problem for you as the hotel is near the huge Swansea club scene. Cheap and cheerful with pleasant staff. I think a beer and a bite available 24/7. I enjoyed my stay.
All the staff were so friendly and professional, and provided that extra personal touch you rarely get in hotels. The meals were wonderful, everyone should try their massive breakfast! 😊
We also ate our dinner all the evenings we stayed and the food was excellent, with generous servings.
We will definitely be staying there when we visit South Wales
Thank you and keep up the wonderful job!!!
As soon as you enter the hotel smells really nice the warm friendly welcome from the reception desk staff. The cleanliness of the bedroom and bathroom, as soon as you enter the room, smells so fresh - had an amazing Seaview room. AC was perfect, and the TV size was great. Loved the armchair and the small coffee table. Would definitely book again when visiting Swansea again.
The most satisfied I've been at a stay for two nights yet. The host, the hotel, the room (cleanliness, facilities, lighting, accomodations), the vibe, the food, the location, and everything else anyone looking for a stay would need and want. If I ever come back anywhere near Swansea, this is the spot I'm staying at, no questions asked. I don't want to leave...
Spaciousness and all amenities available. Generous house which was well equipped with more than enough self-catered facilities. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for our family of 5. Tasteful decor and great to return to after a long day's hike on the beach in the pouring rain. Easily accessible to City Centre and Swansea Beach.
Great location, clean enough inside, easy access with a code, easy to walk pretty much anywhere from here. The hallways were a bit dirty but I guess that's probably a management company. No iron so we had to buy one and no kettle to make tea but overall a pleasant stay and great value for money compared to a hotel.
I booked a suite and was very pleased with the room. It was not expensive by luxury hotel standards. Morgans is right in the centre of Swansea with on site parking. The breakfast was excellent and it has a lovely bar. I have been before and will visit again.
Very friendly couple made us feel very welcome and were extremely accommodating with everything we asked for. No bother at all. Very happy with our stay here. Will definitely recommend and will be going back next time. Massive thanks to Wendy & Ian.
Staff were fantastic, hotel was clean and spacious, location was perfect for Ironman Swansea. The breakfast the next day was incredible and the staff in the restaurant are a credit to the hotel so friendly. Already booked to return next year! 😄
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and tidy room and hotel overall. Great value for money. Excellent breakfast. Dui was amazing, she cooked the breakfast buffet single handedly, and provided an exceptional service to guests.
Great overall can’t say anything bad about the property, maybe a nice addition might be A/C, yet the weather is cool in Swansea most times making it a luxury more than a necessity.
