Very quick and smooth check-in, no waste of time. Parking in front of house. Elegant hall, stairs and corridors. I was in last floor and there are small stairs inside room too (back to down) which took smile to my face every time i looked them.
Breakfast was satisfactory, lot of diary products (including lot of sour cream) -- feels really like in Latvia ;)

What an amazing place for the family! We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment upstairs. The decor was great and everything was clean and tidy.
The out of hours zoo was an amazing adventure. Kids absolutely loved it!
Owners were very polite and helpful. The customer service was outstanding across the zoo, including the camel cafe where pancakes were made from camel’s milk was a real treat.
Highly recommend to all who would like to spend a quality time with nature and animals!

Small and cozy town, beautiful little main street, very impressive castle ruin with medieval-inspired activities and wonderful nature trails just in reach out of town. The new castle was nice, but not exactly a highlight, but just a few kilometers and easily reachable by car or bus, there is an archeological park with a rebuilt lake "fortress" that is definitely worth a visit.
Highly recommended for a short stay if you like nature and a few calm days away from Rīga, as long as you don't seek for any thrilling excitement.

Visiting the historic downtown of Cesis was a delight.
Visiting the historic downtown of Cesis was a delight. Parked for free near the soccer complex, and walked a few short blocks past the independence memorial into the center. Discovered several shops and a diverse offering of cafes along a few pedestrian streets, and more could be found just outside that area. The medieval Castle tour was a highlight. A self-guided tour was plenty informative, with signs in English where needed. The Tower tour was one of a kind and well worth the time: Ascending and descending the narrow stairways and exploring the rooms with your own hand-held candle-lantern was a unique and memorable experience! The manor house exhibits were interesting, but the highlight was again the tower- climb to the top for a birds-eye view of Cesis and surroundings. Once back on the ground, the Palace gardens were beautiful for a stroll or to sit and enjoy the peacefulness. Smaller park Maija nearby was also peaceful and the black swans in the pond were beautiful to watch. Kayak trip and hiking along the Gauja river are a must do as well. Enough English was spoken to make it an easy place to navigate and get any needed assistance.

Cesis is a lovely, picturesque small town with a well-presented castle and ruins. The local businesses were very friendly, and the restaurants served excellent food. We ate at the Sushi restaurant around the corner from the apartment and the Vanadzins Ziemelu restaurant on the main Riga Road, a few steps from the apartment.

Perfect spot for outdoor activities.
Perfect spot for outdoor activities. Both wintertime and summertime. Beautiful surrounding and friendly people. Many hiking trails nearby. Good ski resorts - both downhill and cross-country. Lovely old city (gets lively in summertime)
Excellent 😅 the coziest hostel I ever stayed 😍
The hostel is located in the main street in Cesis. 10 minutes to train/bus station on foot.
The room for 8 people is very big and comfortable. There tables and chairs to put your stuff. Bed linen and towel are included. Bed is comfortable. Coffee and tea are available for your stay for free. And the price is amazing 👏
THE OWNER IS THE BEST 😀 he's helpful, keeps hostel clean👏
I WOULD DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN.
THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING.
This was definitely one of the favourite hotel stays for our children.
We arrived after the park was already closed for the day and it was amazing to have everything almost to ourselves. The bouncing activities were still functioning, we could freely look around, and even visit some of the animals.
Our room was very nice and the beds were super comfortable. We also really enjoyed the common living room, it is lovely and cosy, and had complementary water, tea, and coffee.
The pictures don't give credit to the atmosphere and cosiness of the rooms. The place is stunning and gives so much attention to detail. I stayed here for a few days for work but felt like staying there for holidays next time. I think the hotel might be new, or it seemed like it. It's super well located, right at the heart of Cesis, next to the university. I highly recommend it.
The location of the house is awesome, right downtown Cēsis. Private parking right beside the house was really helpful. The host gave us very good instructions of how to get there, with pictures, which was very useful. The house is comfortable, fully detached, and very cool, an old house with all modern comforts. Cēsis is a lovely town, we would love to come back.
Stylish and cozy room in the most centre of Cēsis old town. Everything was like in a description. There were even some welcome tea and coffee available <3 .
Beds were very comfortable. The host was very responsive and helped us with everything we needed.
Cleaniness was 10/10 in all areas.
Would stay here again and again :)

Comfortable apartment, perfect for a stay in Cēsis!
Practically across the street from the train station which was great! Close to all of the attractions. Loved the balcony for relaxing and sipping on coffee and tea.
The location is just excellent if you are staying in Cesis for sightseeing reasons. There are number of restaurants just around the corner, the Cesis castle is three minutes walk from the apartment.
The hotel locates right in the old town in a very nice area. Breakfast was good. But the hotell overall was just really amazing, friendly and helpful receptionists, everything was clean and nice.
