Overall a very nice experience from initial arrival at the hotel, to check out, with lots of smiles and assistance from the staff. Since our rooms were not ready due to the extremely early arrival, there was a nice lobby, convenience store on the second floor where I was able to get some work done in a very relaxing atmosphere. The room was quite, very large, with lots of windows - natural light, a comfortable bed, and a roomy shower room.
Very good location to move around for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and two metro-RET stations if you need a place to stay if attending a convention at the Ahoy.

Excellent location - right off Rotterdam Blaak station, with connections to rail, metro and trams. Close to many bars and restaurants. Breakfast was reasonable, and quite good. Very comfy bed. Loved the view out to the old harbor. Repeat customer having stayed here maybe 7 years ago? Very well maintained, would absolutely stay again.

Traveling as two girls in Rotterdam was a great experience,...
Traveling as two girls in Rotterdam was a great experience, as we always felt very safe. The places we visited, such as The Markthal, were amazing. We tried lots of different foods and were awed by the architecture, which was one of the main reasons we visited. Additionally, if you're traveling by car, be prepared for high parking costs. However, I highly recommend parking at Melanchtonweg and taking the train back to Rotterdam center if you're open to using public transport. Lastly, Jaffa Shoarma was a delightful experience with excellent falafel durums. It's a great spot for a late-night warm snack, and the music and people were very friendly and entertaining :)

Avoid this city at all costs.
Avoid this city at all costs. Between their sad and expensive food and their "too state of the art" architecture lies a city full of addicts and petty thieves.
Might recommend if you want to live a full Gotham city experience.

Very amenable city.
Very amenable city. Not as crowded or crazy as Amsterdam, but with plenty of sights to see especially considering that The Hague is within range of the metro. For one person traveling alone it would even make sense to stay in Rotterdam and commute to Amsterdam. Even after the cost of daily roundtrip intercity train fare you'll likely come out ahead on cost, and the train trip is only about 45 minutes.

Rotterdam was not as crowded as Amsterdam.
Rotterdam was not as crowded as Amsterdam. The transport was excellent and it was easy to get around, even in middle suburbs. Het Park was a lovely place to spend time in. Markhal was fun to look around.
The property was really uncomplicated, concerning finding public transport or the market. There was this one really kind woman belonging to the front desk staff who was overly kind and helpful towards us, gave us all kind of tips about the city so delightful, they where all very efficient, additionally the breakfast was exquisite. Overall exceeded my expectations, never slept in such a comfortable bed for a long time. Everytime we came back to the hotel, the bed was made ugh, would totally recommend it to anyone who visits Rotterdam!!
Reasonable hotel for a location if you want to visit the University / Rotterdam Business School and the surrounding business park area. OK business hotel with actually a nice rich breakfast that gave good variety (cross-cultural options even). Pancakes comes from an automatic pancake machine. I like fresh pancakes but not these machined ones! So other than that part the breakfast is really good and if you can get it with the hotel rate - its a deal - though I am not sure I would splurge close to 20 Euros on it.
Very conveniently located hotel in central Rotterdam, about 15 mins walk from the central train station. Shops, cafes, restaurants, public transport within short walk's reach. The rooms are clean and spacious with equally spacious bathrooms, the beds were very comfortable, but the hotel is old, showing it's age. However, there was a very well equipped gym. Breakfast was fabulous; spoilt for choice. Staff very very friendly and helpful, particularly breakfast room staff.
A very convenient hotel if you have to take an early flight at the Rotterdam airport.
All is functional, so it's clean, silent, comfy and good value for money (the main reason we booked it). This is not a leisure hotel, but a business/stopover hotel (exactly what you expect from an IBIS Airport) and the area is... well, the airport, so it's not fancy, but does the job and for a very decent price. The staff was nice and the check-in quick. Good value for money.
Loved the comfortable beds, excellent shower and very quiet room. Breakfast was really good both mornings (including Sunday brunch). Despite being very busy, staff were friendly and efficient. The location of this hotel is outstanding for anyone wanting to be a convenient walk from the Centrum area (about 15 minutes max) and Centraal train station (literally steps across the plaza). It made our transit to and from Schipol a breeze. No need for a car.
Absolutely beautiful rooms with loads of space. We used Rotterdam as our base to explore other parts of the southern Netherlands and the ability to pop some food in the fridge for late returns, and sit and relax on the sofa, was extremely useful. An absolutely fantastic location as well! It took us about 25 minutes to walk from the central station, but the hotel was close to some great restaurants and any shopping we needed.
Cosy little room, very bright thanks to its big window.
Everything in it is modern (including Bluetooth speakers you can use).
You have to climb to get on the bed but it is big and cosy - tucked in between the walls and the big window.
It is located in a central part of Rotterdam, with a tram station right outside.
The reception staff (at hotel Emma, across the road, where you check-in) was very polite and friendly.
I must start by writing that I looooooove Rotterdam and this hotel was the perfect accommodation.
It's right up in the city center, minutes away by walking from Markethall, the Cubic Houses, The Central Train Station, the Erasmus Bridge and so on.
The room was very clean and the bed comfy and I loved the vetiver shower gel and hand soap (it's my favourite flavour) :D
The staff was beyond friendly and helpful.
Amazing place to stay in Rotterdam. Very well located in the center of the city (Beurs). Everything is walking distance, and it's very close to an Albert Hein (supermarket) where you can get groceries for breakfast, dinner or appetizers. The apartments are well equipped and the views are stunning. They have paid parking and welcome coffee.
Absolutely brilliant hotel. My 10yr old and I loved the vibrancy of the place. Great art throughout, super friendly staff and comfy & quiet room. All within a 5min walk from Central Station and walking distance to many fantastic sights in Rotterdam. Loved the little bonus of fresh coffee outside the rooms.
The location is convenient for those who have flights at Rotterdam airport. It is good to have the minimart by Fletcher Hotel, we enjoyed buying stuff there, without the minimart, we wouldn't know where to go to buy food in that area. A staff at the minimart and kitchen is very attentive.
The apartment has a great value for money, silent bedroom, right next the Zuidplein Metro station and 5 minutes from AHOY exibition centre, super markets and restaurants just at 2 minutes walk. it takes 15 minutes with metro to get to the city center.
Location is great, very close to city center, museums, bars/restaurants and also to Rotterdam Centraal. Staff was very helpful and explained everything in detail regarding our stay.
Overall a great option to stay in the city for a couple of days.
A real boutique hotel, located in the city centre of Rotterdam. Great location, but without the touristic vibe and atmosphere. They also serve great coffee and pastries at their coffee / giftshop downstairs.
- Great hotel for a weekend trip in Rotterdam
- Free bikes by the hotel that can be used to explore the city (though, not possible to reserve those)
- Very comfy bed and nice breakfast
- Friendly staff
The hotel is very clean and modern and is located near the Rotterdam Blaak Station and the Markthal, We felt safe walking around the area and there was much to see and do.
