Relatively easy access to Chania etcetera by vehicle we rented. Found a number of local restaurants nearby and food was very good and not expensive.

The panoramic windows offered sweeping views of the sea. This newly built complex consists of 6 detached three-bedroom villas with private swimming pools is located just in front of the beach in Platanes resort in Rethymno. Balíon is 23 km from the... This apartment was amazing! The private pool was much bigger than we thought it would be. The beach is just a quick 1-minute walk down the driveway, and - bonus - we had two beach chairs and an umbrella included with our stay. The beach itself was sandy and great for our kids to play on. There was a bar/snack place on the beach also. The apartment had a nice coffee machine, a roomy refrigerator, and most of the kitchen supplies/utensils that we needed. The air conditioning worked very well and was very welcome during the hot afternoons. We always felt safe walking to and from the place, there are several good restaurants and a well-stocked grocery store right up the street. We would definitely stay here again!
