How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Reception overpromised but underdelivered regarding a possible early check in. We understood guaranteed check in was 4pm and were prepared for that, but arriving early were assured by reception they would ask housekeeping to make our room a priority, and phone us to let us know. They didn’t phone us, and when we asked for an update at 3:50pm we’re told the room was ready and checked straight in. How long had the room been ready while we had been hanging out, waiting for a phone call? Also, found dirty cutlery in the kitchen drawer.
After coming off a cruise ship, having the space afforded by a two bedroom apartment was fantastic. Great location, central and convenient.

Bredroom tv unable to connect to chromecast. Not a huge deal due to having two other tvs in our space.
Very large accommodation for the price. Our family shared a two bedroom suite with kitchen. The location was great for visiting Vancouver for the first time. Walkable to many of the must see attractions. Friendly and helpful staff.

More attention on maintenance of the machines, as I have to redo another cycle of drying as the dryer I used was not functioning, only to realise after an hour of drying time that the clothes are still wet.. Should review laundrette closing hours instead of 930pm though it is still available upon request...
Overall is good from location to staff. Facilities like having ceiling light and a shower room in the master bedroom would be good.

parking was very convenient but was expensive.
The location was excellent and the staff was very friendly and the bearded doorman went beyond to answer my questions and direct me on parking and check-in. He was excellent.

The main restaurant was not open when we were there but otherwise it was all good.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and found it clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well appointed with the exception of salt & pepper or any spices, but otherwise nicely put together.

Checking in took a while and the room holds were very high.
Three apartments were great! Awesome space for a group. Clean and comfortable rooms. The pool and hot tub were nice and we loved the hotel robes provided. And everyone on the staff were so kind and very helpful.

Parking lot didn’t feel safe, maybe because I come from Seattle where we’re constantly having to be careful wherever we park. The gym also closed too early. 10pm is too early for me since I tend to workout at night once my daughter goes to bed.
I loved the location. We walked around every day, didn’t even need a car while staying here. I also thoroughly enjoyed the steam room, what an added bonus to end my day decompressing and relaxing in the steam room.

Maintenance needed on some of the appliances - but they were quick to respond. Room was very hot and hard to change the temperature.
