We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

CanadaThe bedsheets were stained, there were burn holes in the chairs, the refrigerator made irregular clicking noises that made it difficult to sleep, even with the bathroom fan running constantly to drown out the sound.
Decent location; easily accessible; good, friendly, and helpful staff. Easy access to the room from the parking lot. The room was chilly when I entered, but warmed up well with the baseboard heaters.

NetherlandsIt needs more attention to details for cleaning, some gross dirt looking smudges on the wall and hair in the bathroom that wouldn't take much to wipe which gives the impression that it wasn't cleaned. Room smelt like cigarettes. Bath didn't drain well.

CanadaThe facility is a bit scuzzy. It was clean but it definitely gave you the feeling that perhaps you should triple check if it really was. The pool was broken which was disappointing but perhaps out of the control of staff. And there was a dining area but no breakfast which honestly surprised me. The elevator seemed like a death trap. Our family of four got in it and wondered if it would make it to the top. Perhaps the “BA” in BA hotel stands for “barely adequate”. Honestly we won’t stay there again.
The staff itself are fine. The hotel was easy to find. The price was very inexpensive. It was quiet and easy to fall asleep for the noise or lack of it. Even though it was close to a main road.

CanadaHotel and room was run down, door casing holding the extra security lock in place was broken, looked like the door had been kicked in, an attempt to fix it was made prior but not made properly for proper operation. Staff was very hard to understand as they spoke very broken English. There was no complementary breakfast, but for the the price of the room that is to be expected. Pillows and bed was uncomfortable. Coffee maker did not work. Thermostat did not have numbers left on it to determine how warm the room temp could be set at. Room service was on request, not daily. Damage deposit was taken on check-in by staff but they could not re-lease it on check out said it would take a couple days. Found that ODD.
Convenience to my areas of interest in the city for the purpose of my trip. Dining options were a short drive or walk away. Room and bathroom was clean.

CanadaTo start, you could tell the property was not being well maintained. There was a lot of overgrowth from grass to shrubs and trees that were left neglected. From the moment you arrive it looks like an abandoned building because of this. The walls were paper thin, and you could hear people having wild sex in the next room. Electrical wiring was not up to code (had the ground prong pulled out of a cord so that it could be plugged into a two prong extension cord.) Accidentally forgot to undo the security latch before opening the room door, and ended up pulling the latch off with part of the door frame molding coming off with it. This rendered the security latch useless as I used practically zero force when opening the door. Lastly this building is very old, and needs more TLC than its being given.

CanadaThere was some confusion at check-in; despite the fact that I stated at time of booking that I was traveling with a pet, and reiterated when I got there, I was not charged the pet fee. I got a phone call to my hotel room at 9:45 PM telling me I needed to come up front and pay the $40 (for two nights) immediately before they closed down for the night. I ended up having to withdraw $40 in cash (+$3 surcharge) from the ATM in the lobby to pay for it since they were having trouble with the machine and, I was informed, there would be an additional cost for paying with debit. On my second night there, I pulled up to my room and heard a large dog go ballistic barking. I got into my room, settled in, and the dog was still barking (maybe 5 minutes later.) I called the front desk because it was pretty loud and showing no signs of stopping and was told, "Well, maybe they left it [the dog] there." ?? Staff did come to the room that I thought the barking might have been coming from but I continued to hear (loud, close) barking on and off for the rest of the night.
Cheap, centrally located, good free wi-fi. I appreciate being able to pull up to my room when I'm traveling with a dog as it's easier to get both him and my stuff inside without having to work around other people/go through a lobby area. Room was comfortable and relatively clean.
