We thought the location was fabulous, the best view in Tofino overlooking the dock and inlet, out towards the sunset. The room was large and comfortable and had everything we needed. The little kitchenette was perfect for making breakfast. The shops, cafes/restaurants and boat/plane/kayak tour operators of Tofino were all within walking distance. The lovely beaches were a short drive away and there were bikes for hire if needed. Visit to the Tofino brewery was great. Free parking was a big bonus as it can be difficult or expensive otherwise.

My partner and I recently stayed at Himwitsa Lodge in Tofino and had an absolutely amazing experience! The location is perfect, offering stunning views of the harbor and the surrounding mountains. The sunsets from the balcony were breathtaking and a highlight of our stay. The lodge itself is cozy, well-maintained, and beautifully decorated with a touch of local charm. Our room was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the amenities we needed. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. One of the best parts was the easy access to the town's attractions and activities. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants, shops, and beaches. The on-site gallery and seafood shop were fantastic bonuses, adding to the overall experience. We also appreciated being able to use the kitchenette to make breakfast and save some money during our stay. We highly recommend Himwitsa Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway in Tofino. It's a perfect blend of comfort, hospitality, and natural beauty. We can’t wait to come back!

The locks to get into the lodge and rooms were tricky and I didn't look into the stairs situation ahead of time (my fault). Note: all the rooms are on the second floor with a flight of stairs up to them and no elevator.

Our room looked out on Pier 1 in Tofino and we loved watching the float planes, water taxis and sunrises and sunsets from the many windows. It was an ideal location for the townsite, however, since my husband has mobility issues I had to drive for meals and spent a lot of time finding parking.

We received a warm welcome on our arrival and found our apartment to be spotlessly clean. The beds were extremely comfortable and the furnishings were of good quality and tastfully arranged. We used the kitchenette which was ideal for preparing food. The apartments have an excellent central location overlooking the harbour with views to the north and close to all the shops, restaurants and cafes.

There was construction going on right outside of our room for 2 days/eves of our 3 night stay. Evidently they were just informed it was going to be happening. During the construction an electrical pole was knocked down so they worked until 10:00 to repair it - was loud. What should have been a peaceful stay, wasn't peaceful when we were in the room. Fortunately we were exploring the surrounding areas much of the time. We thought about asking for a discount or a free night, but didn't. It would have been nice if it would have been offered without us asking. Nobody checked in on us either, or commented, during all of the construction. If it wasn't for that, all would be perfect. So, cross your fingers for no construction!🙂

The room was great. Close to everything we needed and it had a little kitchen. The view is gorgeous. Liked the fireplace. Nice little perk after a cold wet walk. Sat out and watched the harbour on those lovely adarondak chairs. Wrapped up in the great blankets and watched the sun on the mountains.

The hinges on the bedroom and bathroom doors could do with some oil. The lock on our front door was not the easiest to operate but hey, really and truly there was nothing to be bothered about.

The staff are great, the apartment is very large. Small niggles are that the kitchen could be a little better equipped (no tongs, broken knives, not enough dryng cloths) but these are tiny niggles and overall the accommodation is really very good and very comfortable. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and would certainly recommend it.

The room was comfortable but very dated. There is no air conditioning in this unit - just a fan with a short cord. There is also no ice machine. There was no daily housekeeping service. COVID is long over, people. This shouldn't be happening. There was no way to remove garbage from our room (we were there for 3 days and food garbage can get smelly.)

Nice big patio to sit on and enjoy the sunset. Too bad there was no ice for a drink. Beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately, we had to make our own beds each day.
