Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Perfect location, nice and comfy room. Very clean. Easy check in and check out. Love it. I will come back and recommend it to others.

NetherlandsThe room we stayed at did not have air conditioning. While we did not visit in a very warm period, the room was itself very warm and not well ventilated, even though it had a ventilation system. AC would definitely be necessary for warm summer days.
The location, next to Mitte, is really good. The automated/digital way to manage and enter the building/room also works well. And the room was clean and quiet.

United KingdomThe doors don't have safety locks/latches on the inside, which I have had in all other hotels I have stayed at recently. My 7 year old son accidentally left the hotel room in the night whilst trying to go to the toilet, and luckily I was awake. A safety latch on the door would stop this!

United Kingdom- corridor could have been a little cleaner and room service could have been a little quieter in cleaning neighbouring rooms so early - air conditioning didn't really do much for our room unfortunately, would have been great
- location was amazing, so close to everything we wanted to see - great that we could do everything ourselves, and really good communication from numa when we had a small issue - overall great communication at every point, before, during and after our stay - lovely spacious room and en suite bathroom - really loved being able to help ourselves to fresh towels, tea bags and toilet rolls - lovely comfy bed and great TV

RomaniaThe beds were a little small, and the mattress was a little sloppy, it slips from the bed sometimes :). In rest everything was perfect.
The place is clean, just near the metro. Easy to find and enter. Parking was also easy to find, planty of space. Everything is accessible through a code you recieve. Well placed just near the city center. Has tea, cofe..etc...well equiped. I recommend this place! Very good for the location and price I found.

NetherlandsThe only small downside for us was the location of the room on the first floor, which made us feel a little unsecure about leaving the window open during the night. Besides that, everything was great!
The room was really cozy, quiet, and well situated ( close to checkpoint charlie and easy access to public transport). The room was nicely furnished with a comfy bed, the equipped kitchnette ( bowls, plates, cutlery, etc. And even some coffee pads/tea). Everything was clean, and entering the building was straightforward despite no reception. We would love to stay there again next time!

RomaniaThe dark side of the digital operations is that you don't have any direct contact to the personal. Every problem that could appear, will only be reported on WhatsApp or e-mail, and the response and resolving times are accordingly longer. (Example: I asked for a crank on the first day to be able to open easier the windows, and it was delivered on the fourth day.) The first filter on Numa's WhatsApp account is a horrible chatbot that can't answer anything, but only forward your question to a real person. After each communication you are being asked aggressively to score the communication and if the problem reported was solved or not. Although the building has an air conditioning system, it doesn't work. We got a room in the mansard, and the sun heated the room all the day. When reported the problem, I got the answer I should open the window or I can get a ventilator. 🤦 If you stay longer time in Berlin (e.g. a week) you should know that no cleaning is being done during your stay. Although Numa mention it in the hotel's description, I miss the possibility to order a supplementary cleaning if necessary. Even the garbage sacks are too small for the container in the room.
The hotel is close to the the most touristic sights, in the middle of the city. Booking, parking reservation, check-in, check-out, extras, etc. are digital and work relatively well (However this digital system have its negative side too.) Breakfast is good, but it's not the hotel's credit, it is from a coffee house nearby.

CanadaIt is an unstaffed hotel, which I didn't mind (you're told where you can grab an iron or extra towel or whatnot, rather than someone bringing it to you) but that could be a put-off for some people. No real complaints
Everything was easy to find, the WhatsApp help was very effective, and the room and hotel well well fit-out for a stay. The kitchen was excellent too! Check in and out was a breeze. My room was quiet (on the courtyard side) and had a French balcony that I really enjoyed.

CyprusI was a little upset that there was a ground floor and I couldn't see the sky from the window. And as a suggestion, it might be convenient to install vending machines with snacks and drinks in the lobby.
Really good location. Half an hour of walking and you're in the city center. It feels like a safe area. It is very convenient that there is a place for luggage storage. All instructions are clear and convenient.

United KingdomThere was a slight smell in the bathroom, but my main gripe is that the kitchenette area is inadequate. Free tea and coffee is great, but there is not enough basic cutlery and there were no plates or mugs (just bowls and cups). Also, you are discouraged from cooking by a notice saying you are likely to set the fire alarm off if you are not careful! At a possible cost of 2500 Euros! Basically this is a relatively good room with a hotplate but without hotel amenities. The window looks out onto a courtyard surrounding by other windows so you have no privacy unless you keep the curtains closed.
Ideal location, wonderful. Cafes and restaurants and shops near by, and a short walk to Checkpoint Charlie and Unter den Linden. The apartment was quiet, and clean. Comfortable bed. NUMA are very quick to respond when you have queries. It's good you can leave your luggage until the evening of the day you check out.

IsraelI asked where I could dispose of dirty towels, and the staff member who answered was misinformed. The water pressure in the shower wasn't good. Not a huge deal by any means, but you would expect them to know the basics of the hotel.
Great breakfast options and an incredible location. The staff was quick to answer and offer solutions, which I appreciated.

Germany- Biggest con is insufficient ventilation. There were no fan in a bathroom (or it wasn’t operational), the A/C is pretty loud and still weak, supplying only room temperature air. We kept the window open non stop to compensate for this, but at times it was still insufficient. If the temperature outside was 20+ degrees this probably wouldn’t have helped at all. This is the single reason we didn’t rate our stay a 10/10. - The shower curtain is made of glass, unmovable and too short, there was always a puddle on the floor no matter how hard we tried not to overspill. - The storage area was sufficient for two people with backpacks and carry-on bags, but we wouldn’t have been able to fit more.
- Location is great, right next to U-bahn and close to city centre - Very clean, all facilities are new and in good condition - Additional towels and consumables available in a laundry room (also yoga mats, iron, etc.) - Very comfortable bed and pillows - Kitchenette and kitchen equipment is great, more than enough to cook comfortably - Nice design overall - There is a functional and relatively big lounge with tea, coffee and nice soft music - Very nice and thorough cleaning service

AustraliaMore lighting in the kitchenette area would help, otherwise everything was fantastic!
Extremely spacious one bedroom apartment, very clean, quiet and well appointed. Gorgeous high ceilings and historic rooms - It was like staying in a palace! The location is so convenient, just a short walk to Checkpoint Charlie and other sights. Easy digital check in and arrival. Lastly, the supply room where you could pick up extra toiletries, clean towels, cutlery as well as the lockers was a real bonus!
