The meal we had in the restaurant. The rib eye steak my husband ordered was extremely salty and he couldn’t eat more than a few mouthfuls. I had the steak Diane pasta dish which I vomitted up a few hours later.

Our bathroom floor had broken glass all over it. It looked like a glass had been smashed and not fully cleaned. I collected the glass and took it to reception who apologised and got it hoovered straight away.

The perfect location for the end of the Three Peaks challenge. The fact that they have 24 hour check in was a deciding factor in choosing the hotel.

Coach house room felt a little careworn with some peeling ceiling paper/paint, bathroom sealant peeling but room clean and bright.

Door alarm sirens when opening door too slowly. Soft mattress, flat style pillows. Elevator used in morning for staff. Had to take stairs. Long walk to room. Lots of stairs. Squeaky floors/stairs due to age of building.

Breakfast buffet well stocked. Attentive staff, cleaned breakfast tables. Booked dinner reservations. Quiet room location facing back woods. Great village location across from train museum. Beautiful outdoor gardens. 2 on-site choices for dining. Casual bar and more formal dining room.

The only thing for me was I found the mattress to be very firm. I would have loved a topper on the bed but I guess this is really personal preference.

A fantastic location, especially if you are hiking to the Snowdon Summit or taking the Mountain Railway train as it is literally a 2 minute walk away. The grounds are lovely to relax and enjoy a drink in. Walking distance from the main town area and recommend walking back via the lake. Breakfast was adequate with hot food cooked to order.

I smoke. Yes, I know, I'm a pariah. However, the route to take to have a ciggie was long and convoluted. It was a beautiful location but because I have trouble walking, it was hard for me.

Loved the rooms and the site. I was looking for an old fashioned hotel and this was it. My mother was thrilled and loved every minute. Great food and breakfast was phenomenal

The comfort and cleanliness of the hotel need some attention. They are missing nice areas to sit. The Bar is awful and uninviting. Looks like a hospital waiting room. The only nice area is the formal dining small room and terrace (not the main hall). Room was extremely stuffy and hot when temperatures outside were 12.

The WiFi connectivity was non-existent in my room which resulted in me sitting on the floor in the corridor to do the work I needed to do. Although I did mention this to the staff and I was assured something would be done about it nothing was and I was not offered an alternative room.

Not very well signed throughout. Bit like a maze if you take a wrong turn.

The location was excellent for our walk. Able to park early and before checking in. Staff were very friendly and hotel clean throughout.

Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work in my room and there was no Aircon and the room was very hot, thankfully a fan was provided to help cool me/room down a bit

Noisy - there was a tap with rushing water dispensing every time a shower was used right outside the window. But the price was right and breakfast good so that was a minor niggle and I would stay again.

The position of our room meant we heard people making a lot of noise withing what seemed to be a court yard area outside our window. Usually I could accept this kind of noise, but it went on until way past 1pm in the morning. The next day, after lack of sleep I had to drive for 6 hours. This was very disappointing.
