I had fish & chips and sadly they were not nice at all......but i saw others with nicer chips on their dinner.

There was no internet connection throughout our stay! Fortunately, we did not need to rely on it that evening. It was more that we could not access more cable TV channels. When we asked about the connection, they told us that the system crashes and that they too had the same issues. The bedroom and bathroom window frames were worn down, broken, dirty and dated. However, we were able to manually open the windows for ventilation so aesthetics only.

We very much enjoyed the very central location of the hotel. We were able to get around the town, access the Camel trails and visit bars and restaurants with absolute ease. This is a oub hotel. The food there looked great. We were not disturbed by any noise at all. The lady at the bar kindly helped us store bags before we checked in. She later checked us in, efficiently. The room was of a good size and tastefully furnished. There were enough radiators for a cool evening! The price for such a centrally located room was excellent 👌.

The Swan was very comfortable & exceeded my expectations with newly decorated bedroom, very comfortable bed. Staff were great & most helpful. Great value.

If you hear a heavy base sound from your room go and ask staff to turn the music down in the kitchen. We heard it in our room all evening on the first night …assumed there was a band playing and put up with it. Turned out there was no band playing. On the 2nd day around 4:30 in the afternoon my partner felt unwell and we returned to our room … we heard the heavy base sound resound throughout the top floor and it drowned out the tv sound (turned it up to 40 on the volume setting). I went downstairs and outside to find out where it was coming from and realised it was the kitchen with music turned up. The barman went up and asked them to turn it down and the problem was sorted. This noise must happen often and whether people in the past have found the source, I don’t know? The staff were very good in sorting the problem once they knew where it came from.

Being central location it was a little noisy and bathroom could do with updating

Staff were fantastic, particularly the housekeeper. Landlord was great, we almost felt like we were at home. Food was excellent and reasonably priced.

Although it was cleaned, the rooms and the building looked really old. The toilet was working with a pumb so it was loud when you flush or when water was going down from the sink and bath tub and the windows were cracked from the old age

Door to our room had to be slammed shut. Good band on but TOO LOUD!!! A couple of DRUNK guys wandering around was quite intimidating. Excellent evening meal, but restaurant area left a Lot to be desired. Service was satisfactory.
