There’s no lift if you’re travelling with heavy bags.

For us the location was perfect. Coded entrance for security, friendly chatty staff, good breakfast, fridge and safe .The central train station was an easy 10 minute walk away and airport 10 minutes by taxi. The area was quiet with nice restaurants and the main shopping street two streets away. We ate at the recommended Galileo a 2 minute walk away, who also do a 3 course lunch special for €12 On the opposite bank of the Arno crossing by Ponte Di Mezzo there is a great area Vicolo delle Donzelle with lots of restaurants and bars in numerous small piazzas ideal for a drink and people watching . It’s about a 20 minute walk to the leaning tower.

The bedroom décor could do with a makeover. The furniture needs changing. Rather dated. A lick of paint would not go amiss. The scrambled egg at breakfast was cold.

Comfortable and central. Spacious room. The continental breakfast was fine. Guests can eat inside or outside. A nice covered area.

The room is relatively small and there's no lift so it is not quite suitable if you have a large baggage. But OK for a couple of days provided you have no bulky items.

The location is convenient, walking distance to all important parts of the city. The room was facing the inner garden and it was quite. Breakfast looked very nice, it is a shame we had to rush because of our early flight.

Bathroom was incredibly small which I wasn’t expecting albeit it worked. You also had to hold the shower thing up while showering which I found annoying.

Cheap and easy. Room was dated but you don’t stay here because you are after 5 star accommodation.

There's no lift and the door of my room offered little insulation from noise in the corridor. I'm sure there is a no smoking policy but I could smell cigarette smoke in the corridor and my room on my last morning. Visitors solely interested in the Tower should know that it's a good 20 minute walk away.

Good location and basic but serviceable rooms. The shower works and the bed was comfortable. There is a nice clutch of restaurants nearby and one is more or less on the edge of the old town.

A sympathetic and unusual hotel. My second visit and next visit I still hope to come back to the atmosphere of an old style family hotel. High sustainability rating due to the reluctance to renovate. Located within walking distance to the airport and city centre. The overall experience is worth the price. Room: small, functional, bathroom w. shower. Window with mosquito net, the bed is OK even for my back. Cleanliness: absolutely top notch. Unfortunately, I forgot to leave a tip. Breakfast: this was included in the price. Well organized and plentiful. The service is helpful and friendly. The garden is not yet accessible but it promise to provide the hotel with opportunity to enhance the old style atmosphere.

The hotel is generally outdated and does not have a lift, so the only way to reach the rooms is by taking the stairs. The room we stayed in had a musty smell, and the bathroom door was a shutter and required taking a big step to enter. This step can be hazardous, especially if you need to use the bathroom at night.

The location was perfect for our stay, an easy 10-minute walk to the station and a few minutes to the shops. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, more so than any other place I have stayed at. Rooms are kept clean by housekeeping and there is also a good selection for breakfast including gluten-free items.

It took about 40 minutes to walk to the Leaning Tower. It is a local neighbourhood away from the business of the Leaning Tower area. It was nice, quiet with good restaurants nearby. The bed was comfy and the bathroom facilities were good. The personal was nice and friendly and the breakfast was fine with options of both Italian and Continental dishes. I enjoyed my stay.

The bathroom had several spots with mold in the shower (walls and ceiling). We had to ask for toilet paper and shampoo, this wasn’t refilled by the cleaning lady. However, the staff was very polite when we asked, and gave it immediately.

Really lovely kind staff with very quiet bedroom. Great restaurants and bars close by. 10 minute walk to train and bus station for trips to Florence, Monterosso and Luca. Huge choice for Breakfast.
