I expected an elevator but it didn’t go to my floor. Fortunately, the maintenance man did help me carry my luggage. The room is a little dated but well-maintained.

Our apartment had a kitchen with a small table, but there was no comfortable seating so you couldn't sit and relax during the day. Some of the property rules were excessive - charges for additional toilet paper, any minor stains on towels from makeup or suncream etc. The rates at these apartments are not cheap, so these extra rules and charges felt OTT.

The apartment was in a great location in the Alfama. The apartment itself was clean and tidy, with all the amenities you need to cook. Checking in and out was easy as there are no keys involved, just door codes.

The only thing I did not like was the absence of a wash cloth which may be cultural. So if you appreciate a washcloth, bring one with you.

The staff members were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The hotel is in a great location. Our apartment was spacious, beautifully appointed and cozy. Two doors led out on to a balcony overlooking a part of the city which was lovely. The property is surrounded by restaurants and even a small super market.

There was quite some sound coming from the top apartment. I do not know how this could be resolved but this was not very nice. The outside noise was manageable but that is coming from someone who lives in the city center and is used to some outside noise now and then. Bear in mind it is an active area of Lisbon.

Very helpful and friendly staff who took their time assisting, both online and offline. They were very responsive and friendly. Very flexible with pickup and leaving of suitcases which was much appreciated. I also liked that the apartment was very spacious and not set up in a way that things are in the way. The airconditioning was a great feature.

The bathroom is in the far end of the apartment, away from ventilation or windows which made it difficult for the space or any of the towels/bath mats to become dry after use of the shower. While this may be difficult to correct, it would be helpful to provide additional towels in anticipation for this during the stay.

The location could not have been more ideal. It was close to numerous shops, restaurants, and things to do while also remaining close to the authentic Lisbon experience.

- Squeaky floors - The bathroom didn't match the rest of the apartment, it felt slightly outdated. It was very clean and had all the necessary towels, hairdryer etc but would have been better if there were more surfaces for your toiletries and stuff.

- The location was incredible, in the heart of Alfama, only a short walk from all the Alfama sights! The tram passes right in front of the building and there are many good options for coffee, food just a short walk away. - The hosts were very friendly - The room was beautifully decorated, loved the mural on the bedroom wall! - Had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay + a lift - Clean!

Right accross the building where the apartment is settled, there is a restaurant, usually playing loud music. This might be an issue for people who would like to have some peace and quiet.

The location of the appartment is excellent, it is on the track of tram 28, next to few miradouro’s and St. Jorge Castle. The receptionists are super helpful and polite. The room was just the same as it was in the pictures, everything new and clean.

Be advised if you stay in 1a there is no window in the bedroom, and if somebody is walking on the floor above you, you can hear thumbs and squeaks loud from the old floor boards.

The location is cute, right in the center of Alfama which is not noisy. Clean, organized and has everything you need. The host communication was very good.

There were some neighbours who seemed to be constantly opening and closing a wardrobe on the opposite side of the wall during the night.

Fantastic location, great views from the top apartment balconies, and a very convenient way to get into the apartment, even if you arrive after the office closes.

No hot water left for 2 showers in a row. Only loud when you have inconsiderate people above/next to you. First night was quiet but someone must have checked in as the next 2 nights it just sounded like someone above moving furniture at daft times. Room was very hot - aircon was located at the end of the hall where you walk in so there was 0 benefit from this. But we would stay again!

There was no cleaning during a 7 days stay (there would have been for a 8 days stay), but there would have been a need for that. The cleaniness overall was not really good -the mat and the sofa were not proper, the sofa hade long time stains on it, we took the mat off not to walk on it at all. It was said that toilet paper and toiletries would be included, but this was not the case -2 rolls of toilet paper for 2 persons for a week -not enough... and there was a price list for the soap and schampoo... ´The garbage was our duty to get rid of and we didn't have enough plastic bags for that either, but we got a few more by asking. The staff at the reception didn't tell us anything without us asking. One of them had no clue that we were guests there, even though we had had a few conversations and she thought we were leaving every day. There were no notice in the booking site that this appartment (1 C) faces the street, that can be quite loud in the evening. There were ear plugs though!

The location was really nice! The appartment is locked with a code, which is practical. There's a 7/11 just round the corner. The tram 28' runs just outside!

Only slight drawbacks for us were the bar opposite had a loud party on our last night. That was the only time that noise was an issue. It finished about midnight. There were some great tunes and I was half minded to join in if I hadn't already got my pyjamas on. Ear plugs were provided for us and actually we did fall asleep fine when we used them. If you weren't going to bed as early as us it wouldn't bother you. In my ideal world I would like to have somewhere to dry clothes.

Very good to have a staffed reception, staff spoke excellent English, very helpful and welcoming, answered a couple of questions about the local area and advised us we could leave luggage in reception on departure day. Great area, short walk to the centre and loads of places to eat round about. Accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. Be aware the doors open right onto the street. Our son had great fun trying to catch people who were using the doors and windows as mirrors. No one could see him from outside. Very funny to watch from inside.
