Truly exceptional service. Every member of staff down to the "trainees" in the restaurant were incredibly warm and attentive. I stayed with my Mum and every member of staff seemed to go above and beyond to ensure we were constantly greeted with a smile and cared for. This was our favourite hotel to stay at in Sri Lanka.

A good place for visiting the Horton Plains National Park-...
A good place for visiting the Horton Plains National Park- negociate locally for the 40 min drive in a Tuk Tuk ( 9000 lks is about right). It has a nice lake to walk around. The Rough Guide though old is still very useful. The centre is small and compact with good facilities .. The exception is the 'Tourist Office' close to the bus station.. It is close to useless - dont look for impartial advice as the owner has his own Tuk Tuk!. Victora Park is worth a stroll.

Quaint little town in the hills.
Quaint little town in the hills. So, cooler climate and perfect spot to take a break from the sweltering heat in Colombo. La Grande Villa is just a 10 minute walk from town and a 5 bedroom boutique hotel, which makes it the ideal place for a quiet, restful stop before Ella.

Nuwara Eliya is a sleepy town nestled within acres of tea...
Nuwara Eliya is a sleepy town nestled within acres of tea estates , which has maintained a lot of its colonial buildings that it almost looks like a different country altogether. Hence the name Little England.
It is best suited for an Individual or family that is looking to just relax at one property with great views , dabble in luxury (there are a few options) , do a little bit of sightseeing (all nature related) and experience the architecture of the town itself. It’s non-touristy.. None of the places we visited were crowded or dirty. The town sleeps by 10pm.

we spent 2 days in the off season (mid feb 2024) which was perfect, no overcrowding, mad traffic and great weather. We stayed 1 night in a studio apartment and 1 night at a small guest house both were perfectly maintained and very nice accommodations well worth the price.
check the weather and go in the off season to enjoy and relax in NE as it should be done!
The best hosts you could wish for. Maybe you can find homes in better location, or fancy hotels but I can assure you that you miss one of the best experience in Sri Lanka if you stay elsewhere. Food is great, the home is warm (which is a good thing in Nuwara Eliya) and comfortable. The host is a former tourguide, so if you are interested in the history and the true current state of Sri Lanka, he will tell you all, show you around and makes sure you leave with a smile on your face. 10/10 , next time we will stay more days there.
Well located considering that Nuwara Eliya is quite a small town. It is just outside of the city centre, quick access to famous Grand Hotel. Room was clean, very spacious, coffee/tea available in the room + other equipment (iron, scale ;), etc). The bathroom was well equipped, very nice shower with nice pressure and hot water. Breakfast was quite fulfilling with different choices according to taste. All in all a great homestay, we felt comfortable.
The hotel was ideally situated in Nuwara Eliya and superb.peaceful location it was convenient to explore nearby attractions while also providing a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle.the staff deserve a special mention.their warmth and genuine hospitality made us feel like my second home throughout our stay.without doubt one of my favourite a budget accommodation during my stay…..
The hotel is very close to the Centre. Rooms are nice and large and shower is great.
The staff are amazing! They prepared a picnic breakfast when we woke up early to visit the Horton plains. Also breakfast the next day was really huge!!! We had to stop them getting more food.
There’s nowhere else I would stay if I go back to Nuwara Eliya! Well done to all the staff
The room was so clean and cozy. The location of this place is near the center of Nuwara Eliya. Victoria park is walking distance away. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Beds were really nice with cozy linens. They serve Sri Lankan and Continental breakfast. Towels, soap, shampoo, hairdryer and electric kettle were provided. Had a good WiFi as well.
The hotel is beautiful and situated in an amazing setting high up on the hills of Nuwara Eliya. 25 mins out of the way from town. It is very colonial and old fashioned. The food is delicious and plentiful. We also had a very relaxing message- and this was offered to a 12 year old too unlike in the UK so she was very very happy.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing.(Special thanks to Mr. Ajith, He provided best customer service for us)They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya.
Lovely food and staff - made you feel very welcome and very helpful with organising tours! Would 100% recommend for a cosy place to stay in Nuwara Eliya with amazing breakfast’s and dinners. The staff in particular were all so welcoming and attentive!
Excellent location, adjoining the Grand Hotel and very close to Nuwara Eliya town. Friendly and accommodating staff. Lodging is available for drivers and free parking for vehicles. The breakfast buffet (included in cost) is exceptional.
Location, view, quietness, easy access to the hotel, close to Nuwara Eliya Lake, the town center, restaurants and cafes.
The hotel manager was a helpful and kind man, he was keen to provide the best possible services to the guests.
We enjoyed everything in this hotel.
In real life the hotel looks even better. Everything was very clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting Nuwara Eliya.
Very clean room and bathroom with good hot shower, and a comfy bed. Helpful and friendly staff, perfect location. The well equipped shared kitchen is very useful, as there are not many good restaurants in Nuwara Eliya.
Delight breakfast , comfortable room, stunning furnishings, amazing amenities, excellent hospitality, wonderful location, great value, all these made us an unforgettable stay in Nuwara Eliya. Highly recommend!
The location is good, with a great view of Nuwara Eliya.

This is a very good place with very clean and comfortable rooms. It has a noiseless stopover environment. Nuwara Eliya city can be reached very quickly. A kind woman is here to help.
