The hotel was really nice and we really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast buffet was very generous and the restaurant was good too. The location is very central, in the old quarter and it's awesome to just walk around. The famous train street is very close too. What I liked the most was the attention staff has given us and the way they noticed us. I got a mild cold during our stay and I asked for a ginger tea not realizing it's not in the menu - and yet they somehow got it for me very quickly (I only realized when they said it will be billed as another tea). Stuff like that makes you feel seen and cared for as a guest.

The people are warm and friendly but walking around the city is difficult and tiresome due to the footpaths being full of motorcycles and street venders, and the non stop traffic and its honking horns.

Hanoi is a vibrant bustling city with great food, shopping and of course plenty of culture to immerse yourself in. The locals were friendly, helpful and offered plenty of smiles and hello's. A great location from which to see all the jewels of Northern Vietnam. The cuisine is a smorgasbord of pretty much anything you could ask for especially at night when the streets are crammed with tables, DJs and spruikers, quite a fun spectacle!

Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy.
Hanoi's streets are narrow and busy. Footpaths are non-existent and where they do you cannot usually walk on them because cars and mostly motorbikes are parked on them, or locals are sitting down eating, working or whatever. The city's tourist sights are really interesting, such as the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh and its museum. There are many other interesting sights, such as the Hoa Lo Prison, the Temple of Literature, several Pagodas and others. All these sights are must-see and we are glad we did. They charge very low entry fees, or no fees at all (like the Pagodas which are free), and are full of interesting information. Do not trust the taxi drivers because most are out to scam you and we experienced that. It is best to get a Grab taxi if you have the app which can be very helpful. Grab taxis are much cheaper and more reliable. There are some good restaurants but you have to have a taste for the local cuisine. We had been told about the local "street food", but what we saw we did not trust and did not touch. If you have a restaurant recommendation perhaps you should go with that. ATMs are rare but they exist and charge extra fees for withdrawals! Generally people are friendly and can be very helpful. We did not feel threatened but were very mindful of the chaotic traffic! Look everywhere before taking a step! Traffic lights are there for show. No one takes them seriously nor obeys them, particularly the drivers. Pedestrians often gamble with their lives when crossing a street.

I stayed 3 nights in Hanoi but it's not enough especially if you will go for a Ha Long Bay Day cruise. More reasons to come back.
We tried Bún Chả at the Bún Chả Đắc Kim. While it was delicious, they should reduce the quantity of the serving as there is so much wastage. Even the Europeans couldn't finish the servings.
We joined 2 tours - city & food on motorbikes and we loved the experience especially since the weather in Hanoi is milder than in HCMC.
Next time around it would be best to visit during the colder months and do a side trip to Sapa.
The property is situated in a perfect position for residing in the heart of Old Quarters in Hanoi. You are basically within walking distance of everything. The room was comfortable and the breakfast had wonderful Pho. All staff including those at the reception were very helpful. They offered useful advice, arranged trips and booked taxi for us, the best part was that they always had a smile on their face. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. I stayed in this hotel 7 nights and will definitely return whenever we visit Hanoi again.
In the middle of the old quarter of Hanoi, the Hotel is like an oasis of quiet. It has a glamorous interior and beautiful rooms. When we arrived the staff welcomed us, they took their time for our requests and when we told them that it was our last night in Vietnam, we got an upgrade to make it memorable... Awesome of them :)
The restaurant is on the top floor with a great view around the city and the buffet was perfect, It was the best breakfast I had in Vietnam. If you can afford it, go here for a night or two!

This hotel was in an amazing location right in the middle of the Old Quarter in Hanoi! It was so nice to be able to walk everywhere we wanted to go!
The staff here were also super, super friendly and helpful!
The complimentary breakfast here was really delicious – a nice mix of Vietnamese and Western breakfast options!
We also booked a massage through the hotel which was fairly priced and really good.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and would absolutely stay again!
I’ve lived in Vietnam for almost 5 years and this was some of the best service I’ve had here. The hotel is brand new and the rooms are beautiful. The staff is amazing and genuinely care about the experience of the guests. It’s in a perfect location to explore the old quarter by foot and about 100 meters from Hoan Kiem lake. I can’t recommend this hotel enough. Truly a great experience and wonderful price for the value. If you come to Hanoi come stay at Hotel du LAC!
The location was brilliant (very close to the Old Quarter gate), the rooms were clean, nicely furnished and the beds were very comfy.
The best thing about our stay however, was Tien, the owner. He goes above and beyond for his guests, and is just a bundle of warmth and joy. He helped us book our bus for the following day and even upgraded our room for the night!
I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the Old Quarter of Hanoi.
Remarkable hotel in the centre of the Old quarter Hanoi , 3 outstanding restaurants, amazing staff …. Way beyond 5 star ! I was so comfortable for3 days and Never a boring moment , this hotel manages to recapture the spirit of a true 5 star palace … before everything became corporate and dull ! Staff are excellent and helpful…. Breakfast was creative and delicious. Accommodation comfortable and cosy …Totally loved it ! Will be back soon
Luxury Old Quarter Hotel had the best staff of any hotel we’ve stayed in for many years! The warmth of the welcome given by Mr. Huy Manager and all his reception staff was truly exceptional. All the staff in the hotel deserve high praise as they were professional and friendly despite being busy. The rooms were clean comfortable and well equipped with the best bed and pillows in Vietnam! We can’t praise it all highly enough.
This hotel couldn't be better it's in a perfect location in the old quarter and the rooms are a good size and spotlessly clean.I have stayed in hotels all over the world but the staff here are by far the nicest and most attentive. I would not hesitate to stay here again. The tours they arranged for us were also top class! 5 star service in the Hanoi Lheritage Diamond Hotel we will be back as soon as we can!
This hotel is located in a central area of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Surrounded by great restaurants and coffee shops, the location was perfect! The free breakfast was delicious with eggs made to order. The staff went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and booked our activities and transportation around Vietnam. Ms. Daily was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. We will definitely stay here again!
The Aquarius Grand does what it does well. It is a small hotel, well located in the Old Quarter. Staff is helpful. Breakfast is solid (the noodles, which they cook and serve in the morning, are probably best, and they fried eggs, omelets, fruit, and more as well). If I wetn back to Hanoi, I would not hesitate to stay there again, and would take them up on arranging the tours for me.
Great location in old quarter central to most things.
Room very quiet to the hustle and bustle that is Hanoi.
Sensational restaurant with great choice of Vietnamese traditional and modern dishes.
View from the roof top bar was amazing.
Hotel has a travel desk which was very helpful if you wanted to see the more traditional side of Vietnam.
Staff are amazing.
This property is wonderful, with clean rooms and excellent hygiene. The best part is the reception staff—they are incredibly helpful and even provided me with medicine when I was sick.
its very well located in old quarter and the train street and all shopping locations are easily accessible.
If I return to Hanoi, I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
It’s a new hotel, the staff is putting a lot of effort on making the experience as nice as possible which we appreciated immensely. The location is perfect, in a beautiful street right in between the old quarter and French quarter. While there are some things to improve finalise, I would recommend it if you are spending a couple of days in Hanoi.
Best hotel staff ever! They were so helpful, friendly and welcoming. The hotel is also conveniently located in the heart of the Old Quarter so it was very easy to walk around to some of the attractions. I would love to stay here again when I come back to Hanoi. Highly recommend!
Victor metropolis hotel & rooftop bar is one of best luxury hotel in Hanoi old quarter with beautiful designed. Our room was large, very clean, new and great facilities. Their staffs was friendly - polite - nice person. We have great buffet breakfast too. We loved this hotel.
The room and service level is 5 stars for sure. All the staff were attentive and went above and beyond to help us in any way possible. The location is also one of the best in Old Quarter, A minute from Hoan Kiem lake. Totally recommend Hanoi Lheritage Diamond Hotel!
Well positioned between the Old Quarter and the French Quarter making most tourist destinations walkable, once you learn how to cross the street in Hanoi!!! Excellent value of money. We would suggest a high floor, as in any hotel in Hanoi due to traffic noise.
Customer service is the best! The receptionists are very helpful and our room is getting cleaned every afternoon. The hotel is close to Hanoi Old Quarter and the best food spots.
