Breakfast was nice I think if I had to pay 20.00 I would not feel I had the value for my money however, it was included with the room and that was a bonus.

Staff were friendly. It looked like someone had urinated all over the elevator or spilt coffee during the night and when I brought it to their attention they quickly had it cleaned.

The room and facilities were basic but clean. The motel's location next to Highway 401 meant it is easy to access and depart from.

We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier.
We enjoyed the waterfront parks and the Gord Downie pier. Also there was some good outlet shopping and mall shopping. Since it was only late April, a number of attractions were not open yet. Also, most places were dog friendly and staff came out to say “bring your dog in”. But we would suggest signage indicating dog friendly or not. ( A simple sign on each entrance to malls, for example.). We had our own car, so easy to get around, and no problem to find parking.

Surprisingly there were a lot of very good and high end restaurants. I was not expecting it during April. The 1000 island cruise was ok but not really something that you “must do” or experience. Recommended you take the ferry to Wolf Island (free) just for the ride (stay on and don’t get off at Wolf Island). The walking track along the river was a highlight. The trolly car was also worthwhile. You get to see a lot of the old buildings on the tour. Kingston history is fascinating. You can also go and walk around the University as well.

Kingston carries itself with the poise of a bigger city while remaining relatively small. Lots of Gothic Revival architecture for the art nerds (I include myself on that list) and a friendly atmosphere made Kingston a fun visit. Also some really good bars and restaurants for a town of its size. A worthwhile visit if traveling between Montreal, Toronto, or Ottawa.

There are great walking trails along the waterfront and the downtown area was less than 10 minute walking distance and felt safe in the evening. The shops were varied and there were plenty of restaurants, bars and pubs to choose from.

The city of Kingston is so littered with homeless peoples garbage everywhere spray paint on almost every corner and a general public are smoking so much carfentanol and enphetameins and if that isnt enough Kingston possessed no family values from city council on down and the cheif of police is responsible for nothing but a 460 million dollar budget and the university students acue one million in fines annually for their wild parties
Rosemount Inn is a true gem. From the moment we arrived (and got access to facilities in order for my daughter to get ready for her graduation) to smooth check-in, to promptly getting ice for champagne everything was stellar. Room was elegant and spacious, bathroom was modern and main guest living room was so elegant and picture worthy. Furthermore Inn is located a short walking distance to downtown. I will definitely plan to stay there during my future trips to Kingston.
This is the best hotel in Kingston, overall in Canada. The staff, all were very kind and helpful, at the front, in the hotel restaurant, and in housekeeping, impressively kind. Its location in the Waterfront was another merit as well as huge parking lot. Particularly I thank the guy who waited for me in front of room to carry the coffee capsules and cups which I requested for quite a long time even at 6 am in the morning!
We were greeted by very friendly staff. Check-in was quick & easy. Décor was current and pleasing. We were pleasantly surprised that we arrived on an evening when the hotel sales manager had arranged a cocktail party in the lobby. It was great to have a free drink & snacks upon check-in. If this were a regular feature, we'd easily recommend to friends looking for accommodations in Kingston.
Nice location close to Lake Ontario Park. Downtown Kingston within walking distance for someone like me who likes to walk a lot. Close to neighbourhoods with sidewalks. Room was a very good size for a solo traveller. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was great to have a private bathroom, most university residences have a common bathroom down the hall.
The downtown location was nice to be able to walk around and enjoy shopping and restaurants and the Saturday market. It was nicely decorated for the holidays. The bed was comfortable as was the pull-out couch. We appreciated the microwave and mini-fridge in our room. Our junior suite had a balcony with a nice view of the waterfront and City Hall.
We were looking for something different…but within our budget..we love character & history and this inn was perfect. All within walking distance of downtown Kingston..the staff were amazing & very accommodating, even with the parking difficulties ..the breakfast was included in the price & was delicious. A very nice stay overall.
The room was very clean. The beds were so comfortable. The bathroom was large and clean. Having a Starbucks in the lobby was fantastic. The breakfast options were great. Easy to get to downtown Kingston. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants and stores. Highly recommend.
This hotel is marvelous, beautifully located in Kingston and the beds are REALLY comfortable . . . hard to get out.
Our room was on the waterside, which we asked for. The balcony had a screen door, so we could keep the glass door open all night, which was so appreciated.
Simple and efficient check in and check out process. The smart TV allowed us to log into our own Netflix account. The majority of the rooms are a waterfront view, being that the hotel is out on a pier. It was central with easy access to the Kingston downtown core.
The rooms were clean, the building was well maintained. The residence is close to downtown and the waterfront is 8-10 min walking distance. People who complain about the size of the rooms need to chill out - this is university residence, not Hilton.
This was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff was lovely! Both check-in and check-out were quick and efficient.
The room was spacious and clean.
very comfortable and close enough to downtown
Stephanie was amazing.
Whole experience great. We usually stay at a particular high end hotel on the waterfront during our frequent trips to Kingston. Donald Gordon Hotel will now be our go to.
Staff very friendly ,very clean and the price was right.Free breakfast a great bonus plus coffee Cannot really say anything negative about this hotel and tea 24/7 is nice.Five minutes to downtown .
Location was good, mostly chain options around for food but downtown Kingston was not far at all. Super clean and welcoming staff. We stayed with our infant and had no problems at all.
The location was good with easy access to downtown Kingston. The breakfast was good and very substantial. The host did her best to please us and we were comfortable enough.
It served the purpose as a stop over during our road trip. It was clean and comfortable.
It was close to the downtown Kingston which I found quite charming.
