Really friendly staff at the hotel certainly made up for the negative comments I show below.
There were really good bar meals - I didn't try the silver-service restaurant. Beer was not expensive either.
Great view from my sea-facing balcony. I could see Morocco on a good day!
Although there was a steep climb back to the hotel from the town, I soon learned to use the frequent buses to the stop literally across the road. The botanical gardens over the road were a great place to start my daily explorations.

The bed was comfy, the view of the mountain was nice, it was quite large and spacious, we liked the access to the spa area, the pool was delightful, the host was very nice and helpful, they also got us cake and cava, which was very sweet. P.s. There's a really nice Italian restaurant right across the street which was also nice.

Amazing location! views of the sea and the planes coming in to the airport. 14th floor, so also view of the road beneath, and feeling right in the centre of the Gibraltar Vibe.
Wonderful almost new apartment, with great spec. Every convenience you could ever need. Comfy bed, good powerful shower. The aircon is quiet and efficient.
10min walk to Catalan Bay and Eastern Beach, another 5 to Sandy Bay.
Just great, thoroughly recommend!
Communication with Walter was excellent, he answered all my messages promptly, and kept in touch. He was helpful with requests, and gave clear instructions to get into the apartment.

Clean, quiet, centrally located, comfortable, well equipped. We forgot our UK power adaptor and were there at the weekend so were happy to find one (actually for the airconditioner which we didn't need to use)

Comfortable, well laid out with lots of essentials to hand.
Good sized balcony, although not very sunny. The apartment block was very clean inside and out, lifts were quick and silent. Nice pool area on the roof, with some great views.

Two days. One hiring e-bikes, £49/day, cycling round the peninsula and up into the nature reserve where all the military tunnels etc are. £19 ticket to enter but well worth it. Day 2 shopping and beach. Nice restaurants on the Marina.

If going to Gibraltar, do not worry about currency or language as 99% of the places accept £ sterling even taxis and everyone speaks English. Getting about on the buses is very easy but they only take cash no cards

There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar.
There are numerous activities to enjoy in Gibraltar. It is steeped in history spanning over 300 years with a significant military presence over the last 100 years.
Main Street has a Miriad of shops many of which are duty free with a specialisation in Jewellery, spirits and tobacco and many electronic shops which are extremely reasonably priced.
Some great beaches, public transport system and fantastic sight to be seen and a most impressive environmental protection area on upper rock with some fantastic sights across the Gibraltar straights to Morocco, Spain and the Mediterranean.

As pensioners some of the steepness which we obviously expected was sometimes difficult but always a good bus/taxi service.
Really pleased we visited and already planning to return near Christmas.
Excellent shops and bars something for everyone together with very friendly residents/workers.
The Rock Hotel was excellent with a view over the harbour, good food and top class service.
Overall a super experience.

Gibraltar is small in size , and a keen walker like myself was able to cover almost the whole area on foot . Because of the time of year , the day trips to Morocco and Spain were not running . I did mean to travel to both , but as it was a "last minute" trip I didn't check on their availability . I visited many places of interest , and would definitely recommend taking the cable car up to the top of the rock . Set off early , and combine the nature reserve entry on your ticket . Try to do as much as you can on the one day . It works out far cheaper that way .
Callum was exceptionally responsive and proactive. He communicated with us before our arrival and during our stay. He was so friendly and helpful.
The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The furnishings were comfortable and attractive. The rock of Gibraltar was right outside our bedroom window. It was amazing during the day and surreal at night.
We loved staying here and would definitely stay again.
We were due to arrive quite early and the property owners agreed ahead of schedule for us to be able to drop our suitcases off at 11.30. However when we arrived at that time. They had been able to get the room ready already so we were able to check in well ahead of schedule meaning we had the day to enjoy Gibraltar without worrying about luggage. The apartment was clean and had everything we could need.
What's not to like!... perfectly located hotel in the heart of town. 10 minute walk to the airport and 10 minutes to the cable car. We love the out door pool and it has the cheapest bar in Gib.
Rooms have all you need, tv, hairdryer, fresh linen and towels.
We are frequent guests here and there's a reason for this....We love staying here as its feels like family!
Unlike a hotel it felt like home for a week. I was in flat 2. The decor is very dated but it doesn't matter. The road can be noisy with the window open in the lounge but because it is a solid building the bedroom is very quiet. I liked the amount of room I had and everything that anyone would need is provided. When in Gibraltar again I will definitely stay here.
We loved every minute of our break away and the yacht was beautiful everything you needed was on board Erwann was lovely he made our stay special gutted we didn't get to say bye to Mike the neighbour next door sure we will see you soon we will definitely be booking back up we will never be staying in a hotel in Gibraltar again this luxury yacht was just the best
The apartment is so much more beautiful than the photo, the view is amazing, even better than the sunborn hotel we stayed at first, and it got everything! Just like back to your own house, it got dishwasher, washing machine, tableware and 2 beds… The photo was quite dated. Anyway it’s just amazing, and the owner was super responsible, he’s a pleasant man.
Everything about the apartment was fantastic. It was modern and clean, well-equipped and comfortable. The host was very friendly and flexible with our check-out time. Air-con worked perfectly, the bed was large and soft, and the shower was hot . All round, perfect accommodation at much better value than other established hotels in Gibraltar.
Room was lovely, had a nice view over Gibraltar town, bed was super comfy and the room was spotlessly clean, lovely bathroom too. Hotel is in an excellent spot to town.
Great rooftop pool, although didn't get time to use it! also lovely courtyard area at front of hotel which is nice to sit in and enjoy a drink.
A hotel that has entered the history of Gibraltar. Very nice place with helpful and nice staff. The room we stayed in was large, pleasantly decorated and fully met our expectations. We used the breakfast buffet - British breakfasts were fresh, tasty and had a large selection of food and desserts.
What a clever unique, creative accommodation! delightful location just minutes away from the very walkable city centre, and great restaurants/cafes. Fabulous views from the boats. The boat owners were so welcoming and helpful with planning my best stay in Gibraltar! Such a lovely holiday!
The flat was just right for our family of 4. Super convenient right in the heart of Gibraltar. Nicely outfitted kitchen, comfortable bedding (although I do prefer fluffier pillows lol) and the private rooftop patio was a huge hit for lunch and afternoon coffee and tea time!
The studio is much better than any hotel in Gibraltar! Comfortable bed and pillows, plenty of towels. Host left a bottle of wine and water! Special shout about the rooftop pool,I had lovely time there in the end of November! And what a view from the roof!
Great hotel, friendly staff and very clean. Our room was a good size with a balcony.
Fantastic location for bars and restaurants, and not too far from the airport
Brilliant mini break to Gibraltar would highly recommend both The Sunburn & Gibraltar:)
Location perfect in a very quiet area. On the beach and built into the rock. General hotel area excellent with a number of outdoor terrace areas. Bus stop outside and easy taxi access to town and airport
lovely hotel! the best on gibroltar. everything is clean and modern. very polite staff. took us by car to check-in. simple miracle! we'll be back for sure!
