It was absolutely stunning the building in itself. The only problem was my room, I thought I selected a sea view room, but I didn’t. This wasn’t the hotels fault but my own… but I like the room I stayed in so all good. The staff were amazing very polite and happy… all of them was amazing from start to finish.. so thank you!

The hotel is ideally located, just next to the historic center of Trapani and a few minutes from the port. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The receptionist gave us good advice about restaurants and places to visit in and around Trapani. As hotel guests, we were also offered two glasses of wine from the very nice rooftop bar.

Very friendly employee. Everything was very nice and clean.
Kite-shaped Trapani makes an impressive sight from lofty Mount Erice, connected to the peninsula below by cable car. On a clear day, the mountain also offers views of Tunisia - one destination of ferries from Trapani Port, alongside Cagliari, Pantelleria and the offshore Egadi Islands.
Overlooking the port is the old town, where arched doorways on narrow streets open onto many cheap apartments and B&Bs on Booking.com. Shabby chic façades sit alongside historic churches, such as understated Trapani Cathedral, somewhat lost amid elegant Corso Vittorio Emanuele, where pavement cafes sit in front of pastel-coloured buildings and metal balconies.
At the tip of the peninsula is the fortress-like Tower of Ligny lighthouse, now housing the Prehistory and Sea Museum. The Colombaia Castle protects the port from an island to the south, while in the other direction the sweeping coastline passes some beachfront hotels with swimming pools.
Villa Margherita Park offers shade from the Mediterranean sun, and Triton’s Fountain graces a neighbouring square. The simple façade of the Basilica of Maria Santissima Annunziata hides the treasures within, including a statue of the Madonna of Trapani which is at the heart of the Easter ‘Misteri’ celebrations.
Between the city and Trapani-Birgi Airport, historic windmills sit beside salt pans. The Salt Museum provides details of this major industry.

Trapani is a great "normal" town- not too touristy. There are great restaurants, good shopping, and you can reach a lot of wonderful places such as Erice, San Vito lo Capo, the Egadi Islands, Marsala and loads more. There are beaches, churches, ports...a bit of everything but at a relaxed level.

Perfect town for a short break or for a beach holiday, the town is in between a harbor and the beach. The city centre is vibrant, lots of restaurants and bars. The surrounding areas worth a visit if you are interested in arts, nature or simply laze on the beach.

Trapani is lovely town nicely laid out with good public transport - although beware as the busses stop running by about 21:30 in the evening and none on a Sunday. A good selection of shops for those wanting to indulge.
The old town is stunning and a must to visit both during the day and particularly in the evening when it totally comes alive with an abundance of restaurants to suit every taste and pocket.

Surprisingly quaint with lots to do.
Surprisingly quaint with lots to do. Great sandy beaches, lots of shops and amazing restaurants and bars in the old town. Also provides easy access to lots of other places to explore like Erice via cable car, Egadi Islands by ferry and Marsala, Castellemare del Golfo by train and Palermo by bus. It wasn't overly touristy either and got a really nice, more authentic experience here compared to some of the other cities in Sicily. Highly recommend! 3-4 days would be perfect
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS PROPERTY - amazing location, the best in town definitely. When we entered the town (we had a car) we were a little scared cause the town looks bad, like veeeery borring, but this property is located over the ocean, and near the most beautiful walking area, restaurants and bars - even has the best coffee i had right in the corner. Regarding the room, it was BEAUTIFUL, the shower was amazing, everything was so so so good, the view omg - incomparable - One of the best stays i had in sicily FOR SURE.
I liked appartement which was very pleasant.I was living on the opposite side of the harbor about 1 minute far away. On the same side as harbor is the stop of the bus going to airports. Very strategic place for holidays because near the centrum. It was easy to walk from one side of Sicily island to another. Marc was very helpful and present. About 1 minute from apartment is the bar with caffee, different small tasty sweet treats and dinner. From the harbor very easy to be connected with another islands.
This was our favourite accomodation during a three-week trip to Sicily. The breakfast in particular was fantastic (again the best by far that we had on the island) and very affordable. The room was comfortable and functional. The host was lovely and provided fantastic advice to us on how we could best enjoy our stay in Trapini. The location is also great - the old town can be easily accessed on foot by strolling along the water front. This place was perfect!
My first experience of traveling to Italy was just amazing! The host is very attentive, I'm very grateful for all the assistance and arranging the transfer from/to the airport, and recommending special sight-seeing and providing with a city map!
Spacious apartment, was very thoughtful to leave a couple of two bottles of water in the refrigerator and Italian biscuit.
Very clean & tidy
Closed to the city centre, walking 2-minutes distance to the nice beach.
This apartment was amazing, the best stay of our trip. The host, Luca, was extremely helpful in sharing helpful information and recommendations. We ate at three of his recommended restaurants and loved them. He thought of every detail in the apartment and provided many extras, such as beach towels, umbrellas, coffee, tea, water and special treats. Parking was convenient and close by. We highly recommend this apartment which is in a great location!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The house had a wonderful and unique interior style, blending typical elements with originality. Everything was flawless: the bathroom, bedroom, living room, kitchen, and the overall space for three people. The location is excellent, with the city center just a 10-minute walk away, offering easy access to food, beaches, and nightlife. There are numerous dining options in the vicinity. Thank you, Sicily!
Centrally located, with adjacent bus stops to everywhere (Erice; Palermo Airport), walking distance to the harbor ferry to Favignana as well as the historical town, Palazzo Serraino is an ancestral home turned hotel run by its family. The owners (and their friendly dogs) are most welcoming, responsive and very helpful.
Our quiet large room and modern bathroom was immaculate and well appointed w kitchenette and excellent wifi.
Although it's a little far to go to the center, the location allows you to see the sea and Erice right in front of your eyes. The kind couple Benni and Anna took us to the salt fields. Anna did a lot of research for our trip. The room is warm and relaxing. There was a mini supermarket, and the chocolate flavor at the gelato shop nearby was the best I've had in Sicily!
The B&B is very well located, right in the middle of the main street of the historic center in Trapani. Maria was extremely nice to me, gave me tips about the ferry to the islands and even landed me a parasol for the beach. The shared bathrooms were always clean and there were useful things like liquid soap and paper tissues. I would recommend for a short stay.
Amazing B&B in the center of Trapani. The apartment we had was very big and cozy (Mastro), it was a two storey room wirh a kitchen and two bathroom. The employees were very friendly and helpful! The breakfast area was small but cute with delicious specialities from Trapani and Sicily. I would definitely go back there. Also it‘s directly located at the sea.
Waking up with that ocean view is priceless.
The loft is centrally located, right in front of the beach, perfect location to visit Trapani and the surroundings.
The house is beautiful, thoughtfully renovate and has all the amenities one can think of!
The owner was very nice, always promptly answered our questions and gave us plenty of tips.
Very good apartment, everything was new and fresh. Hosts told us about the town and places where to go eat. It was valuable. Apartment is near the sea. But in Sicily better to rent a car and drive to all beautiful places. And around Trapani there are a lot nice beaches and beautiful towns. There are 3 supermarkets near the apartment.
The greatest accomodation through our trip in Sicily. :)
we got our keys from owners - they told us everything we needed to know. Flat was looking really nice and new, we even used washing machine - which was huge plus! :)
The location is really great, lot of parking spots near by and close to the old centre.
The hotel is recently renovated in a very large old building. Our room was very generous with an excellent bathroom off it.
Breakfast was one of the best we had during our week's trip to Western Sicily. The location was perfect for wandering in the old part of the city. A very large public car park is nearby.
In short, this is the best B&B I've stayed in Italy. Facilities are excellent and super clean. Location is perfect for downtown trip. In addition, staff is very kind and helpful for every concern about stay and trip. Though there is not private parking space, street parking near hotel is very easy and cheap.
Wow, what a beautiful home base for visiting Trapani, the Egadi Islands, Erice, and San Vito Lo Capo. Agostino and staff were attentive, helpful, and friendly. The best parts of staying in a family home and a boutique hotel. I only wished we'd spent more time here and enjoyed the pool and cocktails.
this was our second stay in Ai Lumi. the location is excellent and the staff were very professional and accommodating. breakfast was good and the hotel was quiet even though it is on a busy pedestrian walking and eating street.
Very cosy room and we had the best fish plate from all Sicily in the restaurant. They also had an elevator to the rooms, what was very convenient with a 25kg suitcase.
