This was our first time in Auckland and just wanted to get to know the city a little better. The Sky Tower is a must see and will give you a great sense of where everything is. We enjoyed some cocktails and food at the restaurant late in the afternoon and watched the sun go down. I was quite surprised at the number of historical and cultural activities available and wish we could have spent more time. Traffic in this city is terrible, so you might want to avoid leaving your accommodation early in the morning or driving around from 3pm to 6pm on weekdays. Location of accommodation excellent and walking to appointment within range, however to get anywhere else, using Uber is a great way to travel given the traffic woes and changes in traffic flow layout since last visiting Auckland.

We were in Auckland for our daughter's Master's Graduation Ceremony so didn't really explore Auckland too much on this visit. However the harbour area is pleasant for a walk and the new Commercial Bay Shopping Centre is of a very high standard and looks really impressive.There are many eateries in there, in addition to many high end shops.

The property itself is still well-maintained and very comfortable, with close proximity to restaurants, fast food, gas stations, supermarkets etc. Newmarket and Parnell are a short drive or bus ride away, as is Mt Eden and the CBD for that matter!
