Very easy to get to by public transport. Always snow in Mayrhofen. Very convenient for gondolas up the mountain. Lots of ski hire places which are quick and efficient (no hanging around). Stayed at Neuhaus Zillertal Resort Hotel. Lovely accommodation, friendly and helpful staff. Nice town with a number of good restaurants and shops. Frequent buses serve the entire area and Penkenbahn gondola which delivers you to a vast ski area is just 5 minutes away.
