The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden, and although we did not use the pool area, it was evident that many other guests found it very pleasant. We booked a room with sea view and it was a nice outlook in addition to the gardens. Our room was renovated and very comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options. I am lactose intolerant, and although they didn’t have soy milk, I requested it on the first day and it was provided for the rest of our stay. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants, shops and a supermarket. Would recommend a car as the walk back is all uphill.

Gouvia itself isn’t great.
Gouvia itself isn’t great. Beach is small, crowded, merky water etc - no where near as good as other beaches on the island. The town has some lovely restaurants, but it’s very very touristy (Brits abroad - a bit like Benidorm).
Has good bus links to Corfu Town and some much nicer beaches and places on the island.

The location of Gouvia is excellent!
The location of Gouvia is excellent! Close enough to Corfu Town, Corfu port and Corfu airport, so very accessible. It has a range of restaurants and cafes around, enough shops and supermarkets and is a 2 minute walk to the main road foing through the island. However, as the beach is not very nice and not well maintained, it is not a place to spend your vacation. We only spent the nights in Gouvia and spent the days exploring the island and for such a vacation I would recommend it. Also, as it gets quite noisy at night, I would not recommend it to families with young kids or older people looking for some restful and peaceful vacation.

It is a comfortable place to stay, close to the beach, close to Corfu city and airport. However you will need to rent a car. Once you have one, it is a great place, since you can easily drive to all other parts of the island.

The village is small, but with nice view to the sea, warm water, beach with stones, good restaurants, not far from the Corfu town. The restaurant in the Palotel hitel was good, the breakfast bar with iced coffe fresh juices, ive cream and waffles was perfect. Te excursions can be bought near, as well as car rent.
Hotel is really great, room was clean as well as the bathroom. Everything looks brand new here. Hotel staff is very kind and helpful. Location is perfect, peaceful and quiet and ideally positioned for island exploration (Corfu Town is 10min from there with a car, many great beaches on both east and west side of the island are not far away).
Pool is nice and clean. Breakfest is very pleasant with a lot of things to choose from.
We have nothing but the best recommendations for this place, and special thanks to the deputy director Mare :-)
Our stay was excellent. Our host collected us from the airport and showed us the apartment. Gouvia is a great location for exploring the island. Even without a car there is a local bus stop at the top of the road which is easy to use and get around. The beach / bars / restaurants are all less than 2mins walk. The town has a calm vibe but with plenty of selections for restaurants, we stayed 5 nights and ate in different places every night - the beach bar also has different performances.
Owners/Hosts/ workers were excellent. Very polite and extremely helpful. The place was very clean. The location ideal, 15 min drive to many beaches and old town. We were also in need during our stay of a pediatrician. That was arranged quite fast and the pediatrician visited us in our apartment. The pool was very clean and the water warm. COVID Rapid test was also arranged very fast with the possibility of the doctor visiting us at the hotel for 10 euros extra.
It's just a great place to stay on Corfu. The hotel was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. I cannot comprehend the complaints about the location mentioned by other users: Yes, you will need a car, but you will need that anywhere on Corfu. Short driving distances to Corfu town, to the beautiful beaches on the Western coast and there are a supermarket and really nice restaurants quite close. And you are a bit off the buzzing roads.
The hotel was very good, the rooms were tidy and has been cleaned daily. The food was delicious, planty choices every day. Thehard working staff was friendly and very helpful, we loved Vasilis’s mojitos, he is a very nice guy. The hotel is located 5 minutes from the bus station, from where you can go to almost any beaches you want with Green buses (Barbati, Kassiopi, Sidari, Palaiokastritsa, Corfu old town, etc.)
We had a really wonderful stay at Pierhouse Gouvia, Alex was so helpful and welcoming and was there to answer any questions we had about Corfu, Gouvia or the accommodation very quickly. We absolutely loved Gouvia which had some incredible restaurants. It was very central to get to other areas of Corfu, such as the old town or beach areas. For such a reasonable price we would definitely come again
The week before we were due to travel we got an email upgrading us to their sister hotel the Molfetta. It was ideally located with a nice large outdoor bar area adjacent the hotel and 50 yards from the beach and numerous bars and restaurants in Gouvia Village. Gouvia Marina is also only a 10 minute walk
We only stayed one night as we were starting a sailing trip the next day.
We loved the Palotel gouvia hotel! So friendly and helpful staff, delicious food in restaurant in hotel ( we recommend!). Clean rooms, very comfortable bed, good working clima. Everything excellent! If you have a car it's a perfect localisation to move around and visit paleokastritsa, dassia, korfu town... We highly recommend, and we wish to come back here!
Our short stay here was fantastic! We had booked very late notice due to a flight cancellation and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was also incredible (I usually don’t like hotel breakfasts), there were plenty of options so I am sure everyone could find something they like. The rooms were awesome as well.
Absolutely nothing. The hotel is nothing like that described, and how on earth this dump could be rated 4* escapes me. At best it is 2* and even then this is being extremely generous. Not one guest we met was satisfied with the hotel. Quite simply it is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in.
Location was very good near the beach and inside gouvia, walking distance to everything you need: taverns, supermarket.
Amenities in the cottage included with everything you needed.
The villa was relatively new built and had nice decorations.
Owner was friendly.
Everything was great! The apartments were super clean and well organized for 4 people. Nice balcony with view to the swimming pool and sea. The location is perfect: 20 min car to Corfu Town and near the best beaches. Owners treated us super good! :)
Beautiful home, very nicely decorated. Privacy between upper and lower floor. Every need was anticipated and met by the owner. Very nice and helpful hosts. Close to shops and restaurants, near Corfu town and other famous beaches/locations.
The Gouvia hotel was well situated close to shops and restaurants and a short walk to a stoney beach. The staff were very friendly and accommodating especially the young receptionist who was so pleasant and helpful.
The hotel was clean and very good for the price. Breakfast buffet was great. The best is the staff. They are super nice and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. The vibe is of a small family run place.
The location 2 minutes from the beach. Also plenty of restaurants in the area.
The staff was super friendly and helpful.
The pool was good to relax during the hotter hours.
Recommend to try the hotel restaurant
The Gouvia beach is very close to the hotel and the bus station to Corfu city is nearby.
The breakfast was very good, fresh and you can choose from a lot of dishes.
