The location is pretty good, right on the edge of the old town. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained, but does feel slightly characterless - apparently it has over 150 rooms, and most of those seemed to be populated by middle-aged americans - I've nothing against americans per se, but it does give the place an odd ambience.
We had a double room, which had ample space for two people. The bed was good and the Wi-fi was faultless. Breakfast was decent - the usual beverages, fruit, cereal, bread, pastries and hot and cold cooked food. However, the bread was usually baguettes and there was no toaster.
The staff were generally professional and friendly.

Stunning Split stands proudly on the eastern shores of the Adriatic Sea, and due to its great climate is called the Mediterranean Flower. It features eclectic architecture, spectacular views and delicious cuisine.
Split is centred around the ancient Roman Palace of the Emperor Diocletian, a magnificent building constructed at the beginning of the 4th century AD and boasting limestone and marble towers, columns and courtyards. It lies in a bay decorated with white sails of yachts, as sailing is definitely Split’s big thing!
The city is full of architectural gems, one of which is St. Duje’s Cathedral, the oldest cathedral in the world, built in 305 AD and combining both Roman and Catholic influences. Nearby Varoš is a must-see, one of the city’s oldest parts, full of charming streets and beautiful houses.
Make sure you visit the Bačvice Beach and the Riva promenade, popular with locals and full of cafés and palm trees. While on the hunt for local specialities, try soparnik - wood-fired dough filled with vegetables - or local soda drinks Pipi and Orela.

Split is nice beautiful city to be.
Nice beach and if you are spot on easy to find parking places too.
2 days are enough to have quick visit and explore the city. We spent one day to explore the old city and one day to explore the beach.
You can do boat tours too and many other water sport activates are possible too.

Split is a beautiful historic town, only spoiled by too mant travellers and cruise boats. When we arrived our boat was moored with 3 others and our rooms were in darkness with no morning view to enjoy. Like Venice, it's best to get out early to enjoy the many lovely streets and historic buildings.
Split came at the end of a cruise when we couldn't face another big meal. A fish and chip shop just off the main square was recommended to us and we very much enjoyed a freshly cooked meal perched on stools in the shop! The owner made me promise to try the fried calamari next time and the sample he gave me was excellent.

Split has such a variety of things to offer!
Split has such a variety of things to offer! From the 3rd century Diocletian's Palace to the seafront promenade to the nearby beaches to the range of restaurants to the delicious gelato on almost every corner, who could resist a visit to this pleasant city! A spring or fall visit is ideal, as high summer temps would likely mean that heavenly gelato just melting down your hand.

Spilt itself was beautiful.
Spilt itself was beautiful. There is a lovely old style feel to the place with lovely stone walls and narrow streets. The bus drivers were very rude. On one occasion, they left us standing on the side of a busy road while coursing at us for not getting the first bus even though that bus driver had closed the door and refused to let us on.
It was quite expensive on the main street, but there were some lovely restaurants sown the side streets that were cheaper. The market is lovely and has great quality food as well as stuff
People were friendly. It was such a relaxing place.

Split was wonderful. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs.
Split was wonderful. Lots of bars, restaurants and clubs. Lovely walks and a beach nearby. You can book trips to various places if you want to see some of the fabulous islands. We went to Krka waterfalls which was stunning. Our host Elena was fantastic and very knowledgeable. We also continued with a trip to Trogir. Hvar is a beautiful island. Fabrique was a nice place to eat. It is very expensive in Croatia. 2 alcoholic drinks cost 28 euros!! Dining out is costly so take plenty of euros.
Ce and clean and most of all very convenient near the promenade of the old town of Split. There is no safety box BUT probably you do not need it because there is no house keeping throughout my 4 days stay there. And the apartment is very secure with 3 different doors to get into the apartment. First of all, the key to the main building, then the key into the apartment complex in the building then the key into your apartment. There are total of 9 apartment in the complex.I would stay here again if I am in Split, Croatia.
we spent 4 days in Starlight rooms.. the room was super clean and in the heart of Split city center. The size of the room was good and the bathroom was so clean and classy. Mario, the host, is super helpful, he guided us for all the attractions we can visit and also helped us find very good restaurants. He also helped us with luggage up and down stairs. Also he was open to help in our stays in other cities in Croatia. Thank you Mario ❤️ will definitely see you again in lovely Split ❤️❤️.
I loved this Hotel very much .It has best location in centre of old town ,right above a beautiful little square .
The Hotel was spotlessly clean and comfortable .The staff were most helpful .I was very sad when my stay at the Hotel ended .It really helped secure my genuine love for the city of Split .
I can’t wait to come back again .I would definitely recommend you book the Palace Suites Hotel if you are visiting Split .

The apartment is in the centre of the old city in an old building but totally renovated and fully equipped with anything you need to enjoy your stay from air conditioning in every room to beach towels. Everything is as you see in the pictures with stone walls and wooden floors. The host, Mirela is great. She gave us all the information about the city and put a free bottle of fine Croatian wine in the fridge to welcome us.
The room was lovely, right in the thick of Split, an easy walk into the Old Town and close to the city beaches. We loved staying here for a couple days, recovering after our Croatia Sail before traveling onwards.
And our host was beyond kind, welcoming & helpful. We damaged something in the room in an accident and she was very warm & understanding. Thank you so much for your kindness!!
10 min walk from bus stop at port. Josip met me at the apartment & was really helpful. Location is 2 mins from the beautiful centre of old town Split. Breakfast was a voucher for the Lvxor restaurant by Diocletian's Palace ( great way to start the day ). Loved my stay here. Split is a beautiful place & the apartment was perfect. Third trip to Croatia & will not be the last
We really enjoyed our stay at Priska Heritage rooms. We hadn't stayed at a small "rooms" hotel in Croatia until this point, and we were very happy with the experience. Elena was very responsive and helpful both before and during our trip. The rooms themselves were very nicely designed and renovated. The location was also perfect too, just outside the old town but close.
Amazing views of the sea and old town! The apartment property is newly renovated, very clean and is extremely well equipped even for a long stay! This was by far my favorite accommodation in Croatia! Josip was so nice and helpful! he was always so fast to respond! I am just sorry our stay there was too short but I would definitely go back and rent the same place again!
We booked 2 stays at Sweet Dreams during our 1 week in Croatia. After a 10/10 experience, we had another 10/10 experience. We stayed in Rooms #1 & #2 and can highly recommend those! Marija was an incredible host once again and so welcoming. We will be returning to Sweet Dreams for sure if we ever visit Split again. Its rare to find such a gem property and host!
Amazing stay at this hotel. Perfect room...very comfortable, clean and modern. Was in a quiet location in Split, but also very close to the main tourist areas. Plenty of restaurants and bars close by. Air conditioning was perfect, great sized TV at the end of the bed with Netflix account for you to use. Best hotel I stayed in, in Croatia by far.
European elegance with modern facilities in a boutique hotel. Great location. Incredible breakfast and helpful hosts/managers. Location is perfect. The only problem we had was booking.com process but the hotel handled it graciously. Definitely one of the best of many that we stayed in during our trip to Croatia.
The room and bathroom were large and comfortable. We liked the large shower and the king size bed.
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They, like many Croatians, like to kid around so it was always a pleasure to interact with them.
The hotel is adjacent to Old Town with a taxi stand right across the street.
Luca and Mario are excellent hosts. The property is beautiful and centrally located for everything in Split. Breakfast is out of this world and the best we experienced during a month in Croatia. Take the tour with Mario, you won’t be disappointed
Very friendly stuff.
Place feels like home, it’s clean and quite.
Walk to old town and city centre takes only 15-20 minute walk.
Beach is close as well.
Blonde girl who works here is the best receptionist ever.
10/10
my husband and I loved this place! very clean, calm… the apartment has everything that you need. there is supermarket very near, and 20 minutes to old town, but the way is easy… we loved the Croatia ❤️
Great location, great air conditioning. Fairly spacious. Few minute walk into the centre
Be aware of lots of steps, just like most of Croatia. Also, no parking due to being in the old town
I was at the end of May. The best time to visit Croatia. It's not so hot and crowd. Location is perfect! Close to city centre. Clean rooms and bathroom. Kitchen is available to cook.
the location was great. the host was very accommodating and patient. the place was very clean and well looked after. i would definitely stay again if i go back to Split, Croatia.
