The accommodation comes with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower and a hair dryer, while the kitchen has a dishwasher, a fridge and a stovetop. Kitchenware is also offered, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. At the aparthotel, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. This apartment-hotel is in the "old town" part of Drammen, more charming and more restaurants compared to the other side of the river (based on my observation and the comments from my colleagues who were staying in hotels on the other side of the river). The kitchen was well stocked with crockery, cutlery and pots and pans. Espresso machine worked well - more capsules available at the supermarket across the road. Bathroom well stocked with hand wash and lotion, shampoo/body wash and conditioner. Loved having the washing machine - there was a drying rack and things dried quickly overnight. Bed was very comfy and so was the couch in the living room. Easy to cast from your phone to the TV for apps like Youtube and I believe there was also Netflix. Lovely view of the Bragernes church tower from the window (I was on the top floor). Elin provided quick assistance when asked via the Bookings.com app. Easy to get into the building with the app (download Upkey before your stay....instructions to do this came while I was travelling and it was difficult to download on the move) or a provided keycard and into the apartment with a short number. Short walk over the bridge to the train station - note there is an elevator on the train station side but you have to look for it behind the staircase, and no stairs on the hotel side of the river. Wifi worked very well, in fact better than the office I was working at during the week. Coworker had an even nicer room across the hall from me.

Alina is the best host we have ever had in all our travels. She is very friendly and got along with our little boy so well. The Lodge is well maintained and very homely. Alina even let us use her sledge and it was an amazing experience for my son who experienced his first snow with her. The location of the property is amazing with breathtaking views. And we also loved Lulu (her Norwegian cat).
