The location is good as it’s directly in front of the the ferry and overlooks Nile river. The place is new and well-furnished. The owner “Ahmed” is really supportive and helped to arrange my activities. The bathroom is small but it’s clean and well-equipped

The guest house was located ideally. The view was fantastic from the terrace. The owner went out of the way to attend all the requests we had during our stay.

We loved our stay here, beautiful location overlooking the Nile, and staff who will do anything for you. Loved the Nile boat ride with Ali, and Mr Mahmoud's breakfast on the roof terrace was superb. The King of Jamaica restaurant is a 2 minute walk away and serves great local food in a nice atmosphere. A great stay, particularly if you are looking for an authentic and local experience.

Arribar a l'hotel des del riu va ser un moment màgic. La terrassa i habitacions amb vistes al Nil supera qualsevol expectativa. L Illa Elefantina és d una autenticitat increïble. La família que porta l'hotel és d una amabilitat desbordant. Si aneu a l Illa, no deixeu de visitar el museu Animalia. Una passada.

Lawanda Nubian House is located right on the market street in the village although the room was quiet at night. It is a family run business and Ahmet and Mohammed were excellent hosts, welcoming us with hibiscus tea. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and they gave us a breakfast to takeaway for our early morning flight. We got a good taste of Nubian hospitality staying at Lawanda.

The environment and the rooms are really gorgeous,the two restaurants are located along the Nile river which itself proves to be a beauty spots for photographing and taking a stroll,what’s more, the staff are really amiable and professional,not only promoted our rooms,but also help move our luggages,prepare early breakfast boxes,I do really would come again or recommend it to my friends

Varem sopar allà i el menjar va ser ESPECTECULAR. Cuinen molt bé, grans quantitats i barat en relació el que ens han cobrat per egipte. Les dones que treballen allà són molt simpátiques i atentes.

It is a nice intimate place in the beautiful island of Elephantine. The room was spotlessly clean, which was great relief after being disappointed by different hostels in Cairo. We enjoyed the short walks on the island, where we met a lot of welcoming local families, away from the hustle of downtown. We also enjoyed the beautiful little terrace and garden in front of the room, and the good dishes made by Kafana and his crew. They were all extremely nice and respectful, besides being a great company and fun to be around. We felt we were among friends. Kafana himself is very accommodating and went out of his way to get us to our train on time. Very thankful for this experience and will surely visit again.
