Nice large room on the edge of town away from large resorts. Great ceiling fan (no AC) which had a consistent white noise that blocked out all noise, for a quiet great night of sleep. Well planned room with plenty of practically placed shelves and hooks to put items. The 20 euro airport pickup for our 1am checkin went smoothly. 5min walk from a small grocery and the water where you can see a great sunset. Great communication with host on WhatsApp.

Yacht Club Sal ligger i Palmeira och har stadsutsikt och gratis WiFi 2,3 km från Fontona strand och 5,6 km från Monte Curral. What stood out was the extremely good service - late arrival by plane was accommodated with taxi pickup at the airport who could give us the keys to the property, then the manager stayed in contact with us on whatsapp until 1am and from 5am to inform us about the latest ferry schedule for the 7am ferry, all proactively without us asking for this, which allowed my family to sleep 1h longer in a very short night. Rooms and location are excellent value for money as well.

Lc Apartments - Sunshine ligger i Santa Maria och erbjuder luftkonditionerat boende med en egen pool, utsikt över staden och en balkong. We loved everything about this property. The apartment was clean, modern and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Bed was comfy (even went and bought us a duvet as I can’t sleep without one :) The shower was great, it was in a great position but also quiet, the rooftop pool is amazing and the staff are great 👍 Walking distance to lovely sandy beach and all the shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Spacious apartment with a balcony overlooking the ocean located right in the heart of Santa Maria, just a 3-minute walk from the beach and a 1 to 5 minute walk to amazing restaurants and shops. The apartment has a bottle of water, towels, very comfortable matress, beach towels(!), all necessary kitchen utensils, and a new air conditioner. The apartment has good windows that block out most of the street noise, you just need to close them. The transfer from and to the airport was excellent and I also had a private tour of the island with the driver Jaime..

Sunshine home Sal erbjuder en balkong och ligger i Santa Maria, bara 17 minuters promenad från Praia António Sousa och 500 m från Funana Casa da Cultura. The apartment is perfectly located for the beach which is only a 5 minute walk, and the town at around 10 minutes to the pedestrian street and its restaurants. It was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our stay. Although we didn’t use it, the pool is clean and well maintained as is the apartment complex. There are a couple of mini-markets on the doorstep for essentials. Ponta Preta beach is close enough to walk with a couple of beach bars. Zuela is the perfect host, on hand when needed but not intrusive, she couldn’t have been better.
