The lady gave us a canoe and we paddled to the island of Ile aux Benitieres. We were alone on the island, otherwise it is full of tourist boats. Larger store approx. 1 km away, near the restaurant. Staying at La Reine Creole really feels like staying at home. I had the biggest room, actually a suite, with a kitchen, a dining area, a bed room and access to two private terraces. The entire house is beautifully done and decorated. Breakfast is served where you prefer to have it. It is standard continental breakfast. Fresh, simple, good. The owner is a very nice person and will give you a lot of useful tips if you're there to explore the area. The villa is about two kilometres away from a mall in La Gaulette. A hike from the villa to le Morne Brabant and back is about ten kilometres in total.
