What I liked most about Karibu House was the family vibe. As a female solo traveler, it's always nice to meet new people whom you can trust and feel safe with. This was definitely the case at Karibu House! Both Vanessa and Cristina are amazing hosts. Actually, the best ones I ever met. When they went out for drinks or activities they always invited the guests and included everyone. They also organized a BBQ, dancing class etc etc. Thank you ladies for being so amazing. My Zanzibar experience would not at all have been the same without you and our family! If I ever go back to Zanzibar, I'll make sure I'll see these ladies again and bring some nice white wine for Vanessa 😉 Besides the vibe, it's nice little spot in between the main road and beach so excellent location. The rooms are tidy, there's a refrigerator and you can use the kitchen and laundry machine which is also a bonus.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The people we kind and helpful, the accomodation included everything we needed, and so much thought was put into the little things: flowers in the room, universal adaptors for power, towels folded into cool shapes, coffee and tea provided with a kettle, two bottles of water to brush our teeth, etc. The breakfast was also fantastic and included a variety of local foods that changed every day. The breakfast include some protein (usually eggs), some local breads, some vegetables, some juice, some local fruits and coffee or tea. We felt so at home here and We were also in walking distance of local restaurants, souvenir stores and the beach. Couldn’t be happier with our decision to stay here!

Everything was just perfect. Very kind and helpful staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds. Swimming pool was clean and opened 24h. Beach chairs for all guests. Breakfast was simple but enough and with no limit. Wifi was ok and if there was no electricity there was a generator supply. 1 minute to the beach.

We really loved everything about Mlango! The location is just one minute walk to the Beach where you have a lot of amazing spots /bars/ restaurants. The property is very private, clean, great breakfast which was various, they also have heater in all the rooms so hot water was always on, mosquito nets etc. Fully equipped kitchen was a big plus for this Villa! Very nice and always clean swimming pool. The staff are all lovely and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Literally a 2 minute walk from the main beach with all the restaurants/cafes and a 10 minute walk from the main street/ markets. The room was very spacious with AC and mosquito nets on all the beds. The staff are all so polite and friendly. Breakfast always came with a fresh fruit platter and fresh juice.

Great location, set back from the beach but easy access to restaurants, shops, street food, kitesurfing centres etc breakfast was served every morning (fresh fruit, eggs of choice, toast, smoothie, tea and coffee) - always with a smile! Rooms and communal areas were very clean. Lots of space to chill out! or work, if you wanted. This isn’t a party hotel, as in it is quiet in the evenings, but it is very social and great to meet people. The two owners are really helpful, social and great fun! Highly recommend!
