As a handyman/DIYer, I was especially intrigued by how well the magnificent old building had been restored, with the finest materials, from top to bottom, along with the finest craftsmanship, maintaining the Old World integrity of the structure, while fully updating it with the clean, crisp edges of modernity. The apartment is nice and spacious with a big kitchen, well equipped. It has a private entrance and a patio terrace, easy for putting bicycles. We were greeted by our lovely friendly hosts who showed us to our spacious room and gave us a bottle of complimentary water. There was a fridge where you could purchase drinks and pay on departure. Breakfast was amazing and exceeded our expectations. Guests could choose cereals and juice and then each table was served personally with a choice of wonderful meats and cheese with salads and boiled eggs as well. We were also given a bag and encouraged to take some rolls/fillings for our lunch which was such an unexpected gesture. Our hosts clearly love what they do and it shows. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel or stay ourselves in future.
