Van der Stel Manor is situated in a residential area, 5 minutes' drive from the centre of Stellenbosch. The restored Cape Dutch home features a garden and outdoor pool. Elizabeth made the best breakfast and was very kind, John was very warm and friendly. The staff was very helpful and courteous.

The service is exceptional! nothing was too much trouble and the team went the extra mile to make us feel welcome. The front desk arranged dinner bookings for us. Breakfast is included the luxury of an a la carte menu, the coffee, pasties and cooked breakfast prepared and served professionally. The spa treatment (couples massage) is out of this world - again one of the best we’ve experienced. Overall this was the best place we’ve stayed in, in Hermanus.

We’ve done a big mistake - rented it for only one night. This house and Agulhas got more to offer than you can expect or read on the internet. We just needed a place for the night, and this was perfect which is very close to the Tygerberg mall. Very clean and instructions for our late night arrival was great. I highly recommend this place.

This guesthouse is a true gem and absolutely high value for money. Antonio and his staff are very kind and the rooms are beautifully decorated. Me and my boyfriend had a wonderful stay and will highly recommended this piece of heaven in Riebeek-Kasteel.
