Gustavo's place was great! Exactly as described in the listing. Gustavo was very kind and accommodating. The property was clean and comfortable. They even offered to clean the space and change the towels, which was a nice touch. We greatly appreciated the laundry on site too. Gustavo's place was about a 10-minute walk into "downtown," which has many grocery stores, restaurants, some bars, and the bus station to Manuel Antonio, San Jose, or other surrounding areas.

Great place in the middle of nature. We can always watch monkeys from our balcony and there's 2 hammocks which is perfect for a couple. There are 2 other rental properties in the compound but we felt privacy as our balcony was opposite the others and facing just nature. Kitchen is equipped enough for simple meals. The swimming pool is nice to have is the Costa Rican heat. Owners are very kind.

Markus was a great host, which is not a given in Costa Rica. The bungalow was clean, the kitchen well equipped, the beds large. I would recommend ordering dinner in addition to breakfast. The whole place is located in the jungle where you can take a great hike to the waterfalls where no one else will disturb you. So you can go for a short trip here or just relax by the pool which is big enough for swimming. One of our best accommodations in Costa Rica and we would love to come back.

Our stay in the quadruple room with a Mountain View at Esquipulas was an idyllic retreat, offering the serenity and beauty of a chalet-like setting. The seating area and large patio with a hammock provided the perfect spots for relaxation and taking in the stunning mountain views. The peacefulness was further enhanced by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall and the diverse birdlife, making it an ideal spot for bird watching and embracing the natural environment. The staff’s super helpful and supportive nature, along with their sensitivity to dietary requirements, ensured our stay was both comfortable and enjoyable.
