Very special place. Comfortable room, very clean and well equipped with quality items. Loved the balcony right on the water's edge. Hosts are a lovely family who do everything with generosity, warmth and care. Very tasty, hearty breakfasts with top quality produce. Wish we could have stayed longer. Really can't recommend this gem of a place highly enough.

We stayed 2 nights in early May. This is a lovely guesthouse in a historic building. Plenty of parking, a comfortable room, delicious breakfasts, and a perfect location for visiting Wells and Glastonbury. Louise & Steve were great hosts. We even had the opportunity to see how the mill works—thank you, Steve. And Louise, your homemade breads are wonderful! We enjoyed walking to the Ring O’ Bells for good food and drinks. The pub across the road was in the process of reopening so we didn’t have a chance to check it out.

This was by far the most luxurious and nicest hotel of our 19 days stay in south England. The location is outside the city, but we walked down and up in 15 minutes, so no parking problems. Private parking. The interior was exceptional nice, like Wallace House or Wilton house. The family itself is the owner and is in charge of all, the breakfast was exceptional served at your table, with all in silver!! The garden with beautiful trees, flowers and great swimmingpool. Our room, first store back had only very small bathroom, but the room itself was beautiful and large, everything 100%

The parking was fairly easy and right outside the front door. The location is interesting - right on the bus route between Wells and Bath with hourly buses so not a bad location for sightseeing in either city. Good stop-off if you are heading for the South Coast etc.

The small village setting is ideal and it is conveniently located for access to Wells and Cheddar Gorge. The selection for breakfast was amazing and must be one of the best around - don't forget the lovely jams. The recommended pub, Ring O' Bells Wookey, proved to be bang on for a superb evening meal rounded off with some local Somerset cider, Thatchers. Thank you Sarah
