Ferndale Luxury Boutique Bed & Breakfast offers adult-only accommodation. With stunning, themed rooms ranging from Venetian to ancient Chinese, fantastic views are offered at this Achill Island bed and breakfast. Guests can enjoy late check-out.

The owners of this property Jon and Alex are so delightful, they made our three day stay extra special. The food was outstanding, our room was very comfortable, although themed, which is not my cup of tea, it did not detract from the overall pleasure of staying at this property.

Nestled in a peaceful location on Achill Island, Achill Cliff House overlooks Croaghaun Mountain, the Atlantic Ocean, and Dooagh village, offering spacious, modern rooms with stunning views. Free parking and free Wi-Fi are provided, and Keel is a 5-minute drive away.

Beautiful views, fantastic breakfast, and a warm welcome. I'd highly recommend Achill West Coast House, and it's also just a short walk (10-15 minutes) from various bars and restaurants. I really should emphasise how great the views are, and how hospitable it is here.

The holiday home has 3 bedrooms, 1 of which is en suite, a flat-screen TV with cable channels, a dining room, an equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and a microwave, a washing machine, and 1 bathroom with a shower.

The property was perfect for our large family - spacious, comfortable and well-equipped. The location is ideal if you are looking for a remote getaway on the Wild Atlantic Way - literally on the edge of the world, overlooking the Atlantic. If you are looking for a hiking holiday, Achill is arguably one of the best places in Ireland with several breathtaking hikes all within its self-contained island boundaries. This house in Dooagh is ideally located for many of these, e.g. a 3 minute drive from the isolated beach on Keem Bay (see pic), from which you can hike to the spectacular Achill Head, Croaghaun (highest sea-cliffs in Europe - see pic) and the even more remote Saddle Head and Annagh Beach. It is literally a 2-minute walk across the road to Dooagh's rocky beach which has some of the best breakers on the island. There is a fireplace for a peat turf fire which Our host was amazing - answered all our questions and needs promptly, and was flexible with unexpected arrival delays. Because the house is locally-owned, her local knowledge was very helpful for shopping needs, "off-the-beaten-path" sights we'd have missed, etc. We would definitely go back here again!

The location was excellent, only minutes walk to keel village and the beach. The accommodation was luxurious, spotless and so quiet. Breakfast was an adventure in itself and John and Alex our hosts were delightful.

Beautiful room, nicely furnished, spotlessly clean, with lovely views - such a relaxing stay. Deirdre and Tommy were very helpful and accommodating hosts and it was handy to have information in the room (menus for local restaurants etc., walking maps). We stayed two nights and would have loved to stay more if we had the chance! I would recommend 'The Currach' for breakfast in the village nearby (as breakfast not available in the house) - excellent pancakes and lovely staff. The Beehive was gorgeous for lunch too.

From the moment we arrived we were blown away by Jon and Alex’s attention to detail. The room was exquisite. The bed looked fabulous and was so comfy. And I wanted to take the shower home it was so good. The food was divine. Top quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Even Alex’s homemade bread was amazing. Oh and it’s less than 5 minutes walk to the village…not the 10 it says on Booking.com (we timed it) I can not recommend this place highly enough . We will definitely be back again !

There was a wide range of options for breakfast and the quality was exceptional. We also had dinner there and were very impressed with the quality. All the rooms have a different theme and the view from our room was excellent. Set in a very quiet location overlooking Keel village and the beach.
