Loved the space, the cleanliness, the location (could easily walk to a few pubs). The shower was very good, towels smelled clean and we're plush and there were even robes. Breakfast was thoughtful too. Liked the Lonely Planet books in the room. Great place to stay if you wanted to hike locally and/or visit the monastic ruins.

This beautiful manor-style house was in its own serene and tranquil paradise, near what felt like an elvish forest from Lord of the Rings. It was absolutely idyllic and picturesque; a real-life kind of Irish fairy tale. I loved every moment of my stay here. Also, the facilities and service are fabulous. Thanks to Zell for being so friendly and accommodating. If you want to have a honeymoon in the woods, or escape the busyness of the modern world, then this is a surreal place for that. Great value for money as well.

Wonderful walks around the whole area. I travelled with my teenage son, and ordered a twin room. It was spacious and clean. As the reviews for the hotel restaurant were so bad, we booked our meals elsewhere. The village of Laragh is less than 2kms away, and I would highly recommend the Wicklow Heather restaurant. Superb.
